Quoted from timlah79:

Just wanted to share an update with a bit of good-ish and not so good news.
Good-ish news: Today I was able to finalize mapping of the 3800+ sound script changes from my 1.00 custom bookmarks to 1.02 (these were intentionally introduced from 1.00 LE to 1.02 LE in order to block PB). This was a heroic effort and I'll refrain from details for good reason. It took me literally my whole weekend + I took work off Fri to work on this alone. Now this doesn't at all mean that I have been able to port any of my sounds. I'm talking about stock 1.00 to stock 1.02 script changes, simply so I can have my custom bookmarked locations aligned properly and move forward. Importing my sounds is going to be a whole different beast. From the looks of things I am going to have to manually import all of them again (like I did to get you guys a Pro 1.00 based version) to generate new macros that I can hopefully then leverage in a later code update via macros (I'm looking at this toward the unknown future per se so I don't have to do what I did here ever again). It's simply unreliable to try the macro method now even with the work I've done to re-align. My hope is that the work I did above along with doing one last manual import will allow me to macro upload instead of manual should a new version come out.
Not so good news: Pro 1.02 has also been jumbled vs. LE 1.02 aka does not have script parity with LE 1.02 as I learned it did in Pro 1.00 vs. LE 1.00. They are really trying to work against people like me. In summary, I don't know if I'll be able to support a Pro 1.02 based version. I will be looking into that but not until later down the line.

PSA: I'm working on porting all audio and video assets to 1.03
Pinball Browser can now support 1.03! https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/acdc-display-and-modify-dot-matrix-images/page/85#post-5960485
All sound locations have shifted again. However, if my macro method is still sound with 1.03, this shouldn't take terribly long.
NOTE: If you have PM'd me in the last day or so, please be patient. I will respond to you once this work is completed.
Wish me luck!

Tim and Delt, I really don’t know what to say. I really don’t. The dedication and pride you have put into this project is truly unbelievable. It’s literally motivating individuals to go buy a JP2. Your code update has been mentioned on a few different podcasts and everyone in the community is blown away. I cannot thank you enough for bringing JP2 to life!!! Wow!!

Thinking about it . . .
This is (IMO) one of the best pinball mods ever created. It adds so much to the entire game experience. As we see pinball mods reach ever higher prices, I feel very justified in contributing again to Tim and associates for all of their hard work. Here’s hoping that this mod is eligible for a “TWIPY” award this year. Hands down gets my vote.

TWIPY WINNER FOR SURE!!!!!!!!!!

So, I’m trying to install this update finally. I’ve downloaded the file. However, when I unzip the file and try to save onto my PC, it says there isn’t enough space? I have plenty of storage? If I could just unzip it and save the image to my computer, I could put the image in win32diskimager and flash it. I’m very confused. any help would be greatly appreciated.

#1444 3 years ago

I tried it at my brothers place. He has a PC and I didn’t want to attempt on my MAC. I’m not there anymore. Here’s what I did:
- Downloaded code
- double clicked on zip file and it opened up and showed the image
- tried to drag the image to the desktop and save it there and it looked as if it downloaded, then it said there isn’t sufficient space (there’s plenty of space on the laptop). Unfortunately, I don’t know exactly what the error message was.

I tried again on another PC. I unzipped the file to get the image. Then I tried to save the image to a 32gb usb stick and I got this error? This is a formatted, completely empty 32gb usb stick?

Quoted from cabuford:

What did you format the stick as? I think it has to be FAT-32. Some older formats won’t support files over 2Gb or 4Gb, I forget which.

Yes fat-32.

I think I may have gotten it to work. I need to test it later. The problem was when I copied the image to a new destination, it did copy, but there was an error message for whatever reason, so I didn’t continue. This time, I tried to just move forward with the process and write the image onto the SD card, even though there was an error message. So, It wrote successfully. Now I just need to test it in the machine and see it it really works. Thanks for all your help. Fingers crossed.

It worked!!! Sorry for clogging this thread with my issues everyone. I’m still confused why it gave an error message when I tried to copy the image to a folder. It copied over fine, but the error message made me think there was a problem. Awesome code! The last time I used it, it was only audio. Wow! The video assets are pure genius!!
