Got my alt translite installed. Makes the stock Dr. No version look homebrew.

I don’t know about that house sitting up on the ramps. Doesn’t look natural, right or that it belongs there. Doesn’t scream James Bond to me.

I received the toy tank the other day. This is a very easy mod. No wiring or LEDs need to be installed inside of this toy.

You can see in the pictures the toy is disassembled by removing one screw
at the bottom underneath. The toy comes apart into three sections. There’s no need to keep the wheel section on because that just looks dumb. The middle section is not needed either because that will block all light shining up into the tank teeth area.

Take the top metal tank and place it on that plastic and it fits perfect. It also has the bonus of that yellow LED shining through the front teeth of the tank and making it glow.

Sitting it further back on the plastic to expose that yellow LED, blocks your eye line of the left top M lane, also looks like ass because you still see the mounting screws of that plastic.

I’m going to make a mount for it and then that’s done.

I had to revisit my modification to the Q ring mode with the slot machines and that annoying lady talking his ear off for 16 seconds straight.

It was not a straight audio and video scene that I could replace and edit. It called upon several callouts which I was able to isolate and replace 16 seconds of her lame dialogue with the background casino sounds from that scene.

I no longer cringe and get fucking annoyed when I get stuck in that first Q ring mode, and don’t have to listen to her bullshit about Felix, and that other guy and her having to go back to the the slammer.

I enjoy making attract mode videos for my Stern games. Here's what I've done for Bond and I've also made a few in-game changes I am testing and don't have video of yet. One such change is the "generic gadget background", as labeled in the code. Just black screen with circles inside circles. So of course that needed to be changed until Stern finally does.

But here's one change I do have video of. This replaces the default Dr. No "colored dots" credit scene that plays in between modes. Keeps with the style of the original, but visually more interesting.

This video shows game over and how the attract modes make the game interesting to watch since you're forced to listen to the music for quite a while after game-over. Also shows the 60th Anniversary -Every Bond- Shooting the gun opening that replaces the old Connery one.

I made a couple of Q clips that make me smirk. He's a funny character!

This scene from Moonwalker has exploding balls....so of course I had to use it. Right now it replaced the generic Q Scoring screen displayed after Q missions.

I came across this scene with Roger Moore and Q and the entire scene is quite funny. I do prefer Moore's interactions with Q than Connery's. I needed to get this clip down to 5 seconds, but don't think it'll be used anywhere after all.

I haven’t even consider changing any music yet. The only audio I looked into it was getting rid of that annoying lady at the slot machines. Mission accomplished on that.

I am not a fan of any James Bond theme songs from the movies. You know like actual real songs from real artists. None of that music seems very Pinball and I honestly just don’t enjoy any of those songs anyway.

I would probably consider a remix of the theme music if I found one that fit and I liked.

Super slow work day, so I am checking out all the theme song clips and think I have it all figured out. Writing another test image.

But I know where the game over music comes from and pretty sure the main theme that plays between modes. That is what I'll be testing on this new image.

Here's a clip of the game over music on my first test. Didn't actually know a track I replaced was used for the game over music. Knowing that and what timestamp was used, I edited my audio to play a better clip for game over. Also will be testing in the next image.

There’s also the fact that there’s a great big insert right between the Flippers, that says, “Her Majesty’s Secret Service”. Which, of course is not a Sean Connery movie.

Found another audio track that has a smaller section of Live & Let Die and then a few other songs in an orchestral medley. Not sure what the other songs are. Found another full unused song in another track, but have to figure out what song it is too.

I played the game with the glass off today trying to locate these additional tracks but nothing yet. Probably set for mini-wizard and wizard modes since nothing happens after collecting all henchmen and villains. Nothing special after collecting all weapons either.

Silence is golden when it comes to the Q Ring mode. No more unskippable dialogue from the slot machine girl.

Replaced an attract mode scene of Dr. Evil with a nice movie poster montage instead.

If you'd like to change the Game Over music and have Pinball Browser:

1 Minutes 46 seconds - replace the first of the three identical entries and this will play at game over instead of the normal Bond theme you just heard eight times while playing.

Here's video of the new attract mode of the movies posters. If anyone wants a copy of this code to have something new until Stern drops an update, just let me know. Pro only.

Yes, change the first and all three change.

Ignore the main theme you hear in the video, that has nothing to do when the end music. I was screwing around with it since I have the location of the slot now. I used the first 1:40 of the Live and Let Die Action Suite from the movie soundtrack for the main theme music during gameplay when not in a mode. I believe this is what Stern has unused in the code too. So they may have the license for soundtrack instrumental songs.

I made my own edit of the track for the game over music.

I was start to hearing the Bond guitar twanging theme song in my sleep and needed to change it.

The end music plays for about 1:25. So you do have a decent amount of time to work with for game over music. Watch my video, game over music start at exactly 1:00 and fades out at 2:25.

Yeah if you love techno, goddamn you've got theme songs remix options.

I'm going to try locating the tracks for the various villain/henchmen modes. Perhaps the Goldfinger mode will work with a Goldfinger track?

Many of the mode music so far is either very soft or kinda annoying. I at least want to now focus on identifying those mode tracks and wait for the next update to see what they do. Does feel like much of the music is placeholder.

Just an FYI, if you’re placing the tank on the tank plastic, just place it over the flasher dome there. It will light up whenever that goes off. Disassemble the tank and ditch the section that has the wheels and the middle inside section. You only need the tank shell and then you can make a mount or double sided tape it right on the plastic.

This is one of the easiest mods to do because stern already has the lighting effects taken care of. I don’t see the need to wire in any additional lights to a tank.

I think the tank effect looks best when it lights up naturally from hitting the target. Plus mounting it over the existing LED hides the exposed screw heads and doesn't block your view of the "M" Lane behind it.

I'm not risking a roach clipped LED mod under my game for no good reason.

You can't use alligator clips to connect to that dome flasher, you have to use actual connectors, at least that's how we do it.

I'm not connecting to that flasher. I'm letting the flasher do all the work by lighting up the teeth area of the tank. Toss the bottom wheeled section of the tank and the teeth area is exposed for the flasher to light up. The wheels look cheesy anyway.

And that tank plastic is very difficult to even make out what is on it when you factor in backglass glare and it's way back there anyway. Sure, you can match up the flames on the plastic, but hardly anyone would notice and now you don't need to connect any clips for LED effects on the tank.

That's pretty cool. But I don't know if I would want to start Bird One MB when I'm not ready to start it. I'd be interested in trying it out though to see how it works in gameplay.
