I love Book of Souls, but if this pin is "based" on that, it changes everything. No more insta-buy. Hopefully a terrible rumor.

Ugh. I hope this doesn't mean its a calculator game. I'd much rather have a long mode heavy game than a score multiplier game.

I'm not new to pinball or collecting by any means. I have always enjoyed mode-heavy games better than abacus games. I have both ACDC and MET. I like the MET-style ruleset far better. I can appreciate both, but have a heavy preference towards goal-based achievements rather than high score. Its not that I don't care about points, but c'mon... these are my games, all filled with my name in the high score tables. Rolling into the gameroom and putting a big score on ACDC is not as satisfying as working towards completing MET modes. That does not make me a hipster, sir.

Either way... its Maiden, so bring it on.

Anyway, can't wait for Maiden. Sold MET to make room for it - and kept ACDC, which is terribly inconsistent with my stated preference. The dang neighbors love ACDC... more approachable I guess. MET had to go since I'm the only one that plays it. I bet I'm the only one that will play Maiden too. Ha.

I agree as well. I sold a pin to make sure I had cash for Maiden back when the rumors were hot. Now, thats totally on me and I don't regret it either way... but here I sit with a pocket of pinball cash. Heading to TPF tomorrow and there will be a ton of things to throw it at. If I knew Maiden was coming I'd just wait for it. But maybe its not coming. Maybe ACNC, JPPirates, Houdini or Kingpin should get that cash.

That is a fair point, but this one felt like more than a rumor to me. A few pinsiders that historically have some insight into Stern's plans hinted very firmly that this was coming. I know thats still speculation and Stern certainly has the right to alter course. Its fun to speculate but can be a big self-inflicted let down when it doesn't play out. I'm guilty.

Did he specifically confirm Maiden, or just say the next game is maybe April? Unusual to specifically confirm a title ahead of time but would be great if he did.

Us regular guys with no inside sources are left to speculating and rumors. I'm encouraged that you are so confident. I held on to my money at TPF with hopes that I can throw it at Maiden.

My METLE left today with a great guy to a new home. I hope it was the right move!

Don't remember... 389 or something like that. It was necessary to move METLE to make physical room for Maiden - so thats what I did. It would be great if I had room to keep adding but the reality is I don't have space.
