Maybe you set phone on game or scan when you play and it can tell it is you for a tournament. Everything could be ran without scorekeepers??? There is a lot of awesome potential. Game updates. Special modes on Christmas day? Or other holidays? I am curious what they will do with it. Maybe only location games need a reader?

#156 2 years ago
Quoted from fooflighter:

Now that would be great...kids scan their phone and it's set to an easier level for example

Cool

We all seem to be making wild assumptions about a lot of things. I am generally happy with everything I have bought from Stern including classic Stern pins and arcade games. In general they build a quality product and are run by people who love pinball and have for most of their lives. I also own Bally Gottlieb Williams Chicago Gaming products, they are great too. I don't think anyone at Stern wants to ruin pinball, but they might want to make an extra buck or 600. Relax, see how things go and if the worst happens sell your games for more than you paid. Apparently I am more of a fanboy than I realized.

Yes

Quoted from scootss:

Seeing how much better the godzilla apron (lower arch) looks on the premium vs the pro, it makes me wonder if I can "upgrade" to the premium apron when I add Insider Connected to my Aerosmith Pro.
Connected aside, is it possible to replace a pro apron with a premium?
Has anyone seen anything about if Stern is going to only sell Premium aprons to Premium owners? Serial number verification, etc.

I think some of the premium aprons will not work with some pros

#922 2 years ago
Quoted from jfh:

Batman and Elvira require new aprons

I think Star Wars premium will also need a new apron.

Quoted from Bundy:

Probably because you are not allowed to do that

Am I still going to be able to hack your code and insert assets you couldn't secure? I am sure someone can ask. Maybe someone can ask how we can still get around it.

#1015 2 years ago

Has anyone been able to sign up? I can't get it to let me register.

#1019 2 years ago

No email yet

#1041 2 years ago
Quoted from chuckwurt:

I think just signing up does the trick.

It didn't for me. It wants another 40.00.

Quoted from shaub:

did you convert your existing account or create a new one?

could not find a way to convert.

#1141 2 years ago
Quoted from Dent00:

Today, the news is different...
I can confirm that if you already have All-Access and go to create a "new" account now with the same email address, it'll automatically associate the two accounts and carry over your subscription.
I entered the required information with my initials, an icon and such and got a confirmation email to click on a link to activate it.
The key thing is that I was able to print my QR code that fits in my wallet from the insider menus there.
There is a discussion forum on the Stern insider area that is not yet active.
You have an option to upgrade to "Insider Connected" for $39.99 per year, but it is not required to print out your QR code.
The code is on a dotted area on the paper that can be cut out and the cut out portion fits in your wallet.

I think you should already have e the upgrade.

Quoted from jonnyqtrek:

Thanks kindly, lemme give this a shot...
Update: Did the trick... Thanks gambit3113 !

Did yours update to a basic account?

Does anyone know where to purchase the kits?

#2632 2 years ago

trying to hook up my QC Reader upgrade kit to my Star Wars Pro.
Node board 8 already has 2 RJ45 cables connected to it.
Where do I plug it in?
Do I have to run a cable to the CPU or will a splitter work?

#2642 2 years ago
Quoted from splitcms:

This is sterns response in regard to this issue:
“ Hi Chad,
Thanks for your email.
The node boards on your game are daisy chained to connect to the CPU.
On node 8, you can remove the CAT5 cable that runs to the CPU and plug that into the open port on Node 9.
Now, your CPU will connect directly to node 9, and from there keep communication to node 8. You may need to loop the cable, as it will be considerably longer.
You will now have an open port on node 8, which you can connect to your QR scanner.”

There is no open port on 9

#2649 2 years ago
Quoted from TrixTrix:

A splitter is required for Batman66 and Star Wars. The splitter is included in the IC kit.

just checked my kit, there is no splitter.

#2650 2 years ago
Quoted from northvibe:

did you check to make sure one of the ports was plugged in with the "plug" that wasn't actually a cable, just ethernet end and a cap?
Also did the "pro" version get any upgrades to see actual detail in the route games? all I see is a few days plays, but that is it

I checked and it is not just the cap

#2661 2 years ago

Did anybody get a splitter in any pro kit?

#2689 2 years ago

I bought a splitter off Amazon for my Star Wars and it works great.
