Quoted from bigehrl:

after having spent some time really digesting what's going on here, and as someone who's both a player and an operator, I truly feel this, for me, is the biggest pinball development since solid state electronics. i know, i know, many of you disagree and can point out several other developments that were big. But the possibilities with this seem limitless. Between the gameplay dynamic and layers of challenges it can add to the game, the interactivity between other players, and the information it can retain and inform you with, this is going to revolutionize location pinball. I'm personally looking forward to participating in this as much as possible at Jackbar, and at my other route locations.

My thoughts exactly!! While japan has had this stuff for years (Bandi Pass etc) it’s better late than never!

Who’s first to make themed pinball QR card holders??? Hmmmmmm

#377 2 years ago
Quoted from docquest:

Sounds like Stern is already planning that based on earlier comments form Zombie Yeti.
In the Georges video he mentioned special aprons needed for Batman66, Elvira, and Star Wars. What's different on those aprons from the standard metal aprons?

No like a business card holder style sleeve
That you can put printed cards in maybe a keychain

Raw thrills is using the same sort of system on the new Big Buck games and HALO

Quoted from snakesnsparklers:

Jared is watching this thread closely, as he does with all Stern product threads.

Hopefully Stern is smart enough to take most of the criticism here with a grain of salt. We will be adding this system to all available games as soon as it launches.

Quoted from MacGruber:

Hell yeah! I would've came out even if you only had it on that bad ass DEJP you used to have!

We have a JP pro in Madison

Quoted from Joe_Blasi:

golden tee has CC cards and gift cards that go to ops' account but will op's pay golden tee fees per game?

Quoted from MacGruber:

Well I don't miss it yet, maybe cuz I got an Elvira in its place! Hope it found a good home. Hey you got a BKSOR now?

Yup!

#663 2 years ago
Quoted from Joe_Blasi:

and ops eat the fees? or say CC fee $0.25 or say CC min $5

Ops that know what they are doing have payment figured out a long time ago and do not need Sterns help here. coupons and specials are one thing but another payment system is not really needed

#691 2 years ago

They borrowed heavily from Raw Thrills (play mechanics) big buck, so it would not surprise me if the same fee structure finds its way over as well with national tournaments and per play fees to us operators. Time will tell

#697 2 years ago
Quoted from Joe_Blasi:

big buck uses / used some of the same systems as golden tee.

the new ones use QR scanners introduced in Halo, I figure national contests and or promotions on select games, like when a new season of mando is released etc

Quoted from gamera9:

trying to hook up my QC Reader upgrade kit to my Star Wars Pro.
Node board 8 already has 2 RJ45 cables connected to it.
Where do I plug it in?
Do I have to run a cable to the CPU or will a splitter work?

Same would like to know, too bad Stern tech support is non existent, bring back chaz

Quoted from MK6PIN:

I miss my chats with him....what a great guy, RIP....

He died???? WTF (

#2653 2 years ago
Quoted from Deez:

Is there a way to monitor how many times people actually logged into my IC kits? I'm debating if I should buy more but can't seem to find that data.

I did remember seeing something in the audits
