I think all the things you mention are coming eventually. IC still very much in its infancy with immense potential. That being said, as it stands currently I don’t have much interest.

If you don’t want to put in the apron, you can install in the bill collector knockout in the coin door. I did it myself but one of our fellow pinsiders is making a kit. More info in my post in the StrTh club thread.

I understand why Stern wouldn’t do this, but I wish they would do a kit without the apron and a bill acceptor adapter plate. I have no interest in replacing my aprons. I like the bill acceptor mod and it seems to work well.

I used the one that came with the kit. You just have to remember to unplug from the IC reader in the door if you lift the playfield and pull it forward for any reason. Plugged into the node board at the front of the playfield. It’s long enough to lift the playfield and pull it out just a bit to allow it to rest on the bumpers. IDK what length it is…maybe 3-foot cable?
