Is this the gadget that is going to brick your machine if you are not running factory code?

Quoted from epthegeek:Do you just not like home team?
Once I figured out home team, I felt like a dope for not doing it sooner.
Quoted from pinbuoy:Go a slightly used Foo, and can't seem to sign in into my network.
Oddly once I leave it alone, it says its signed in, but then doesn't work.
I've tried typing in the PW, twice.... (all lower case and pretty sure its correct)
[also is there a way to view what you've typed in full?]
any other ideas, tips tricks?
and once its online can I just use my existing QR code that I used for my Deadpool?
Is there some registration of my new to me, machine required?
thanks
If you already have a machine on IC, you should be able to use that QR to mirror the network settings to the new machine in a few seconds. You will still have to unregister the machine from the previous arcade location and add it to your own if it is still set up on the old location.
These "ads" are so stinking trivial it is not funny. It come up once every few minutes for a very short time. Until the game cycles through through all 150 of the high scores, it comes up on the screen for all of about 5 seconds. Its no different than the ads for upcoming games on the old Data East titles. I think it is kind of cool to have relevant current content showing up in attract mode anyway.
Quoted from georgia:I got 2 identical kits for munsters pro and JP pro today. I updated the code on both games and went through the install as mentioned in the direction booklet. I was able to add both games to my pro location.
Munsters works fine after a few tries.
JP (which is only 10 feet away from munsters) will not work after at least 20 attempts. It will scan and find my 2 wifi accounts and on a rare occasion will connect to one of them BUT when I scan my phone QR code it says game not connected in red letters.
I hate that there is no way to unhide the wifi password as I type it in. When the game won't connect there's always a small doubt that maybe I entered the pswd incorrectly. There needs to be an option for the password to be visible.
Ive tried connecting to both of my wifi accounts many times but it seems to almost always get hung up trying to connect.
On the rare occasion it does make it through connection, it appears to be connected but says ip address not set.
I have tried both USB slots with no difference. I think the wifi adapter might be bad? I could swap the known working one from the munsters game but I dont want to mess that game up since I was able to get it working finally.
Im at my wits end with this. I emailed stern but thought maybe someone here would have a solution sooner than sterns reply.
I believe once you set one machine up, you can generate a QR code on screen and take a photo of it, and then all you have to do is scan the QR in subsequent machines to transfer all the wifi settings over. Easy mode!
Quoted from ExSquid:Everyone still getting the " 2022 Year in review " ?
Edit: crap, mine just changed to 2023 today.
