Then I wouldn't recommend the coin door mount solution lol.

They still had some- just ordered one.
Nice! Must of made some inventory adjustments.... said sold out an hour ago. Glad you got one. Cant say I'm thrilled with the Red Apron insert for my LZ Premium. I'm not going to go the coin door route, but are there other options?
Quoted from John-Floyd:I'm not going to go the coin door route, but are there other options?
The only cable going to it is an Ethernet cable. In theory you could mount it anywhere with a small mounting box. Inside the coin door sitting on the coin box? On the wall? I also don't like the current mounts for the coin door. Now that I have one in hand, I might try to design a better mount for the coin door that doesn't look so dorky.

What do you think is wrong with the current ones on the coin door?
I think they look very nice and clean.
Interesting. Hadn't taken that angle.

Instead of an white lighted hole in the apron staring up at you, there is a white lighted hole in the coin door staring out at you. In a low light game room it looks goofy. Not as bad as replacing artwork on the apron, but still goofy.

How would this happen? You are not logged into the game in any direct way, that is why they use a QR reader to identify the player. If there was some sort of direct WiFi or Bluetooth connection between the player's phone and the pinball machine, then maybe a hacker could find an exploit.
Quoted from torpedo2k:What if you play at home without pants?
As long as you keep the cam in the apron you're safe I guess.
can see it now at a tournament. I was about to start GODZILLA MULTIBALL but those evil Russian hackers foiled me and made the switch not work. I demand a compensation ball!
Good practise is to put all of this higher risk stuff in a separate network or VLAN and just open the ports needed for the risky stuff.
I commented on this couple of posts back. You have a Linux computer connected via Wi-Fi to the internet. The QR reader is a camera. I was making a joke about being exploited. Once your PIN is connected to the internet, it will stay connected. Every time someone scans their QR code, it will upload the data to the Stern servers.
There have been many exploits of city governments and companies lately. If someone gets into Stern's systems, I assume they have capability to do a lot of things to the machines connected to the internet.

Godzilla code dropped and I still can't update it remotely. There haven't been any changes to the IC Pro software since launch (including some low hanging fruit like making the beginning of the day not be at 7PM). No operator alerts, audits, visibility into the play data, what are they waiting for? All the licenses to clear or something?
Quoted from Chalkey:Godzilla code dropped and I still can't update it remotely
Ours updated automatically about 8 hours ago, from 0.85 to 0.90. I wasn't there; I only noticed it by checking the game status on the website
Quoted from Ashram56:Kind of lost track, are they shipping insider kit to home users now?
Yep....

the system is on an wifi / e-net network so that is one way
also some kind buffer overflow with an BAD QR code?
Quoted from Ashram56:Kind of lost track, are they shipping insider kit to home users now?
Yes, but just like everything else they are on back order.
Quoted from Chalkey:Godzilla code dropped and I still can't update it remotely.
Remote upgrades still aren't worth it unless you set to update automatically (or they add a trigger to start an upgrade remote). I still use a USB because it's so much faster... would love to not have to be in person though! Still don't trust them enough tho to turn on full automatic.
But yeah, no feature releases at all since initial launch

Anyone come to a resolution on the light on the scanner not working? Had mine for 2 weeks installed on my Maiden and tonight it stopped working.

Contact stern and get it replaced!

Don’t have a solution, but this happened to my Godzilla LE yesterday. Over on the Godzilla thread a few other people have mentioned the same thing happening. Sounds like stern sending replacements to some people. Seems to be a common problem, hopefully the figure out why it’s happening
Quoted from bowtech:Anyone come to a resolution on the light on the scanner not working? Had mine for 2 weeks installed on my Maiden and tonight it stopped working.
Only had my machine a few days and the scanner light didn't work out of the box apart from a few flashes during boot. I've tried it on another machine, just the same. I took it off to reseat the ribbon cable as has been mentioned here somewhere as a possible fix but decided against it as it's pretty small and flimsy. I've messaged my distro to chase up a replacement.
Quoted from LargemouthAss:Trying to install IC on my Iron Maiden premium but both eternity ports are occupied. If I connect IC using either port I lose a bunch of node boards. Any idea what I should do?
[quoted image]
Compare the wiring to the blue lines in the manual as shown and find the open port on one of the boards. Any of the bus ports will do. Doesn’t have to be node 8

OK I guess I have to buy a longer ethernet cable then. Thanks!
Quoted from Nelly:Got my IC installed a couple of days ago on my STh Pro. I didn’t want to lose the artwork in the triangle area so I cut a hole in the apron card area and made a new apron card for it. Pretty happy with the results.

Looks great! How did you attach it?
Quoted from northvibe:Are there any audit/operator views for on location/wifi games yet?
Just super basic same as at launch
Games played, last week and last month cojnts, reach ability, last played

Where are those at? I don't see or know where to find the details on my games.
EDIT: Oh....is this where I apply for the "commercial" operators link and have to pay somethinig?
EDIT 2: yes. You apply for the Pro insider connected. I have submitted. Thank you.
I’m hoping some new insider connected features will be shown off at the Elvira invitational on the 12th. Seems like the perfect application for this thing.
The mobile web view already looks like a "app" version. I assume they are slowly staging the mobile view to just go right to an app. tons of features they can leverage though. Hoping to see them roll those out!
Quoted from joelbob:Looks great! How did you attach it?
It attaches with two small screws just like it does if it were mounted the triangle area.
Does anyone have a link to a IC manual they've scanned and is online? I looked at Stern's support page but it doesn't seem like they have this up. Maybe I missed it?
Quoted from northvibe:Ok so I’m in pro now, I added a location, but how do I add games to a location?
From memory, so maybe not exactly right.
At the game, connect to internet, get that going. Then go to register in the menu, scan your QR and it will tell you to complete on the website. Then go to your account online, pick the game to register to the location, and done.

There is none - just installation instructions for the kits

mmm I think I registered the games under my personal "insider" I wonder if I need to unregister then do that under the location. However there really was no way to "add game" in the location, nor is there a QR for the location, that I can see that is different than my personal insider QR.
EDIT:
I hope there are instructions somewhere and I just was too dumb to not read them. So you do register the game under your insider then under machines, inside your account (kind of hard to find) you "Transfer" them to the location, but you also have to own/manage that location. Finally got it I think!
Quoted from flynnibus:There is none - just installation instructions for the kits
Thanks--the reason I'm asking is because I'm having a difficult time believing I can't make these myself. The only piece I think that's proprietary is the game code update and the micro-SD card they install which I'm guessing you can image onto another card. The QR codes aren't "real" by typical standards so you'd just need to pass a non-code into the node board as I highly doubt the reader itself is doing anything other than passing a code to the board.
Perhaps someone has already tried this and I'm missing the obvious.
