Only thing I've read is about someone getting one home and having it break in a couple days and apparently being unable to access the parts to fix it and needing an amazon refund?

I bought them all. I am hoarding them in hopes demand will skyrocket.

Honestly guys, those machines are not bad at all. I think they are priced wrong, but they do feel like real pinball. Satisfying shots, satisfying pops and flippers, the music is fine. Now, are they worth $2,500? Not to me . . . but at $1,500-$1,700 I think they would be worth the money.

They get ripped on here because we are all uber collectors. For casual home players they are a good fit, just need to be a little more affordable to reach their target market.

If you like this go read the post about "pinball 3000 "

I hope to see and play one in France some day. But with transport, VAT, customs and resale margin, imagine how much it would cost here!

Amazon says no. 11 in stock.

Might want to check your source. Are you going to have one at your show?

    #13 7 years ago

    I would consider one @ < $2,000

    #14 7 years ago

The price will drop at some point. They've apparently made them, so that inventory will have to get cleared out eventually.

I guess we'll find the sweet spot price then, even if it is below cost.

Pinball shows are targeted at pinball hobbyists. People that already own at least one game and consider pinball a major hobby in their life. The home games are not targeted at these people in any way.

The home games are targeted at first time buyers, or folks that just need to fill some space in their rec room. Not hobbyists.

Not me, but someone did post a report here. Have you tried searching in the Stern forum?

CES is essentially an electronics toy show. Not a pinball show. If you're contemplating having one at your show, I wouldn't recommend it. Hobbyists won't like it and it will not be good for the hobby in any way. If the curiosity is killing you, drive to a Costco and play one.

does costco still have them?? closest Costco is like 50 miles from me...

    #18 7 years ago

You might try calling them to ask?

I am a proud owner of #17 Transformers The Pin. Was thinking of starting a club. Jpop

As bad as the pricing and reviews I've herd of this pin, it could be a good start if they could find a way to cut off 1-1.5k from the pricing and make it actually affordable for non pin heads as an entry level home device.

jpop how have you found yours? Any major dramas and is it simple to get to the parts?

    #21 7 years ago

I'd like to see a bare playfield of one.

How about some pictures of the insides of these machines?
