Let me be the first to say,
I buy what "I" like.
As a former magazine subscriber, I am all in.

I just pray that this is not one of Burton & Cybs' scams.

All the pictures I have seen do not show the built playfield clearly. Will it have phone screens?
I am a fan of the 2 different sides and the colour change paint.
Plus, I enjoy playing Star Wars pro.

"Death, death to all who oppose us!"

#3 3 years ago

The pics are grainy, but I do see a 2 slot coin door.
I was under the impression home builds have no coin slot at all. Wasted material.

Under the impression it is a rethemed home model

Still buying.
Love the magazine. Really hope people opt out to increase my rarity down the road.
Plan on keeping a long time.
Plus it should be a hell of a lot lighter!

#18 3 years ago

Can't wait for the alt translights!

#19 3 years ago

I spoke with Heavy Metal on messenger the other day.
Always funny to chat with non pinheads

Oh yes its a full sized machine,
It even has a functioning coin door so you can put it on location to earn.

Buddy, it takes a special type to buy a re themed home unit and then put it out to earn.

May as well flush $ down a toilet.
Parts will be hard enough to find already.

I have a dark corner right over there for it. Maybe since it is lighter and smaller it may make it to the odd show with me.

Backglass is an alternate cover of issue "300"

With the cost of shipping it was more reasonable to buy a 1 year subscription to Canada.

Plan on leaving a copy of 300 in the goodie bag.

Rumour has it the pinball will not release to coincide with issue 300.

Hoping I get a bit if a discount on price as white glove setup is included in the US.

1 week later
#21 3 years ago

Ordered the # print from Incendium of the backglass art.
Will look great framed up.
Will eat up the wall space until something else comes along.

The Magazine has been hit and miss for me for years.
I renewed for a year.
Lets see what Incendium is going to bring to Heavy Metal.
Has to have that content...

#27 3 years ago

I had more fun playing SW LE.
Just waiting for an airball for all those mini screens.

It's a homepin re-theme.
Call it what you like.
It is what it is.

As a former and now again subscriber.
The magazine better not be hit and miss anymore.

#28 3 years ago

Art print #15 showed up with a dent in the tube.
Print has horrible wrinkles.
Sent pics to Incendium.
Lets see if they make it right.

#29 3 years ago

When framing costs more than the print. The print better be right.

I am #15 on the list (#1 in Canada)
Had to provide proof that the # print was destroyed before being issued a replacement.

#34 3 years ago

I am sure they (Incendium) must have bought 5-10

Production is capped at 300.

Incendium had no problem matching the print # to the magazines # included with the machine.
Enjoy the white glove setup that I don't get for the same price.

Game music is not downloadable from the pin like DP.

Primus only sold 100 units.
Time will only tell, ordering is open for a year.

1 week later
#35 3 years ago

My backglass art print arrived.
Out at framing.
Latest from Incendium is production slated for Oct/Nov

Issue 300 is next.

1 month later
#36 3 years ago

A little pissed that Avengers IQ seemed to jump the que.
I guess people want pins before the next price increase.
Thank goodness my price is already set and deposit made.

#38 3 years ago

Not yet,
Incendium still says Oct, Nov to Canada.
No word from Stern.
Must be too busy to worry about existing deposits.

1 month later
#39 3 years ago

Start of November.
I checked in with Incendium to inquire if any pins have been shipped.
I was informed that assemblies are finished and heading to the line.
Production (in some form) will begin next week.

Soon enough this thread will relate to a production pinball.

I did not inquire as to how many models have sold currently.

2 weeks later
#40 3 years ago

Shipping was to begin this week.
Thursday, my distributor has heard nothing as of yet.
Don't call us we'll call you.

Only have 3 work days left until year end vacation.....

If you have yours, post some pics.

If you are in the EU, I feel for you paying in canadian dollars (0.75).

3 weeks later
#41 3 years ago

I heard from Incendium on saturday.
They are claiming that shipping will begin tomorrow Dec 14.
Who knows, maybe I will have it by weeks end.

#42 3 years ago

No pin as of end of business day friday.
Hopefully next week before X-mas.

#43 3 years ago

I had to call my distributor re holiday hours.
My NiB 'may' be on the next truck shipment on tuesday.
Due to lockdown measures in the region, I can go get curbside pickup wednesday.
That's my last chance for HM this year.

Still wondering how many EU buyers may have opted to drop out when the tariff came in.
May be some extra units lying about.

#45 3 years ago

Interesting side note.
The 'special' numbered issue of Heavy Metal magazine is NOT included.

Incendium was concerned that 'collectable' magazines cannot be just rolling around inside the machine.
Incendium claims they will mail out the special issues to owners.
Issue 300 was initially released with 4 variant covers. 2 Taarna, 1 Nelson, 1 blank.
Really hoping for a blank with custom art applied.
I also inquired into paying extra to have my issue encapsulated (bricked, slabbed). It would be a nice option.

All in canadian was 12.7K
No white glove set up.
I bought through my stern distributor.
Put my 5K deposit down in June.

First 100 units were built.
There was some problems with the EU tariff. I would not be surprised if some sales fell through. Game is considered in production for 1 year or 300 built.

Now, Zepplin prices out cheaper.

#55 3 years ago

Yeah, it and the goodie bag with the keychain, etc. Are still stapled inside.
I will have to fish it out.
My distributor still has no list of the rubber.
I like to have a spare rubber kit, coils stops and balls initially.

I usually have some high wear items I like to have on hand.

#56 3 years ago

Personally after 20 years

I still suck at pinball.
I only finished Nascar once in 5+ years.
Never finished Elvis (graceland)
So far 5 modes tops (minor) in Aerosmith.

Going with a 4 mode game will hopefully lead to a finish and hopefully hearing all the music.

#59 3 years ago

Started gameplay today.
Cons
Game has some glaring flaws to a pinhead.
Both slingshots activate, not good in multiball.
Heavy is 1 target not 5.
Ball can easily launch off the exit into the top lane plastic.
Homepin. Glaring homepin.

Pros
Gameplay is pretty solid.
Modes and multiballs seem pretty easy to get, at least for my wife
Love the art, music.
Only 100 built so far. I don't see a huge draw.
It's this years Whoa Nellie, silverball mania....
Pretty, fun 3-4 ball multi

As a average player, this seems like a multi mode that I may be able to finish.

#60 3 years ago

Heavy Metal, featuring 12 songs filled with space-faring fantasy riffs:

1: Veteran Of The Psychic Wars – Blue Oyster Cult
2: Takin A Ride (Heavy Metal) – Soundswitch
3: World Of Fantasy – Helloween
4: Cosmic Power Of The Infinite Shred Machine – Dragonforce
5: Heavy Metal – Justice
6: Midnight Flyer – The Night Flight Orchestra
7: I Must Be Dreamin’ – Cheap Trick
8: Heavy Metal – Sebastian Bach feat. Brendon Small
9: At The Edge Of Time – Blind Guardian
10: Space Police – Edguy
11: Sky Is Mine – Amorphis
12: Lightyears from Home – Primal Fear

#64 3 years ago

Yeah 4 million per ball
No tilt enabled.
It was crazy beat down.
Played like he was sending it back from extensive testing.

#67 3 years ago

1st problem (minor)
Owners, keep an eye on the plastic ramp top cover for the Taarna ramp.
Mine popped out of the tabs after being hit in the test games a few times. (short tabs)
Make sure it is tight
Check it when you are in there.

I did inquire as to if there will be current or future shaker support.
Mounts are right there.....

#68 3 years ago

It has a coin door
Also the node board inside to the left.
The one with the shaker motor slot.
Looks like it may even be able to take code updates.

Captive ball will sometimes get all the balls and then not release.
May be a bit of a levelling issue. I have it a bit high at the back.

#69 3 years ago

Apron art is backlit.

#71 3 years ago

Not a real issue. Just feels cheap. Just like the one big heavy target instead of 5. Cheap.
Even an EM can do slings.
It is kinda devoid of things in the bottom half.

I find the cheap trick a little razzing.
Great for a pin.
I would like to be able to shuffle the music around. Never gonna hear Sebastian, and then for how long???

#72 3 years ago

We are all official now

Game added to the database.

#74 3 years ago

Game literally started shipping a few weeks ago.
I ordered before it was even listed from Stern and am #15.
My guess is Incendiim must have ordered or got the first 10 or so.

Rarity is your friend. Until the vault edition...

#75 3 years ago

I finally hear back from Stern.
Shaker motor is not supported.
Even though the mounts are right there inside the cabinet.
Not like the shaker is all that awesome in my Aerosmith.
At least in Elvis it was better integrated and you had to unlock/earn shaker.

The race to the bottom for service (it seems),
Continues...

#80 3 years ago

I am looking forward to reading the review from the owner of #61
Has a very large collection.

I'de still rather have the shaker and colour dmd.
Mods shouldn't be fixing basic issues. Not much being done with nodes yet.

#81 3 years ago

Cover came loose on Taarna ramp again during play.
Toy caught the ball.
Less than 50 games since last adjustment.

#82 3 years ago

Have to show the lock down bar. Same on the legs. Very slick.

#84 3 years ago

I'm really not that great of a player.
Have not finished it yet.
12 million is top score for now.

The music on this pin goes very well

Captive ball for 2+ player can really make your wife angry.

I am going to level it out a bit more and see if that gets rid of my right ramp cover bashing.

#86 3 years ago

Even detailed the number plate.

20210120_084913 (resized).jpg20210120_084913 (resized).jpg
#88 3 years ago

WTF!?!
My cries for shaker support were answered?
Wow,

COLOR DMD !!!!

#89 3 years ago

Wow, #93
Did you order ahead?
I had heard that 100 were built in the first run.
I guess it won't be until years end before we know final production numbers.
Incendium claimed to me that most pin sales were direct and very few (double digits) bought their pin through a distributor.

#93 3 years ago

Incendium was more than happy to admit that CGR took a 'couple dozen'. Due to EU tariff, cancelled orders.
They have 13 in stock and are claiming renewed interest from distributors, France and Spain.
Future batches will be built in 50-100 units.

Also of note, they handle the warranty.

#96 3 years ago

New code installed.
Seems like it doesn't want to find the captive ball now.....

Edit: opened up, reconnected the captive wires.
Also checked on plunger tip. Had a few off autolaunches. Also looked at the launch mech. Seems fine.
I will have to make a paper model of the metal bracket I want to fab for the Taarna ramp.

#98 3 years ago

I don't usually leave my pins on for extended periods normally.
Typically for me it's on, play 2-3 go do other things and come back in a half hour or hour for 2 games.
Then off until another day.

I miss the old spike sys that was on and play.
Damn startup sequences.

Poor Aerosmith is getting ghosted

Power may be cheap bit still is not free yet....

#100 3 years ago

Welcome to the club.

Called my distributor today. Ordered my spare rubber kit and a shaker motor.
I had them inquire as to if it requires the capacitor kit like my Aerosmith. (not too many installed out there if a problem?)
Also inquired as to playfield pricing. I may want a spare at the end of the production run.
Something to use all those credit card points on. (distributor pins here are payable in credit card or wire transfer only)
At least the mount holes are fully drilled. Aerosmith was not.

#102 3 years ago

At least if you are buying from CGR they bought up a few dozen

I should be easy to have a choice of number in the range they have.
Big Gretzky fan get 99
Lindros 88
Hitchhickers guide 42
Etc.....

On a side note: what's everyone doing with the magazine?
I am having mine bricked. I already have a copy of the issue with my subscription.
Seems kinda like the album you get with a Deadpool LE

#104 3 years ago

I just finished shaker install.
Liking the shaker on this title over my Aerosmith.
You know NOW if you jackpot if there is too much action.
Came with the standard capacitor kit. Star Wars is on the capacitor list. Seemed like a safe bet to use it. Worked fine.

#113 3 years ago

Yeah, took me a few tries to get the game code to install.
If the installing screen does not come up, and take forever to install try again.
Took a bit to get the button choices (coin door) right.

Side note: wife is getting markedly better at Aerosmith after a few weeks on HM....
I may have to resort to camping out on a barstool to maintain my high scores soon.

#118 3 years ago

I tried annenuation? At -/+ with no luck on voices/callouts.

I am really enjoying the fast boot up time.
Almost as fast Elvis and earlier were.

Shaker motor is a must for this title.

Just needs a colour dmd, right ramp cover mod.
(alt translight, topper)
My wife is up to 12 225 000

#121 3 years ago

Shhh
Quiet.
No raving reviews until production closes and we are the few.....

I get the odd left spin into ball capture that does not register.
Looks for balls forever. I usually open the door and release a new one.

#124 3 years ago

Magazines come direct from Incendium.
They didn't want them damaged in the crate.
CGR will either get your issue or forward your address to have it shipped.
Mine has not arrived yet either.

#126 3 years ago

You must be dreamin is pretty appropriate.
Seems only Blue Oyster Cult is original.
Sabastians take on HM is a bit 'different'.
I don't mind the songs at all.
Not like I really hear much of them.
All the mode switching tends to keep them short.
I would only buy if you are in for the long haul. It will probably be a few years before anyone gets what they have in for a trade on another premium (same price point).
I fear there are too few owners to get many modders or a color dmd down the road.

1 week later
#135 3 years ago

It has the robust build of a real pin,
The fucked up features of a home pin.
Any side by side with a Star Wars pro will show how glaring much faster.
The heavy target and the lack of an attempt to even try to make the right ramp cover better seems to show that.
At least SW has a bunch on miniature games you can raid for toys.
I really studied the sw homepin. Monitor their club to see what issues arise in it.
Less plastic in HM, still not easy to mod but not near the trouble I see with the SW home.

3 weeks later
#136 3 years ago

Apparently there is a problem with the magazines.
They were shipped to Incendium with blank covers instead of the backglass art.
They are currently dealing with Heavy Metal to get the proper magazines.
Expect a delay.

1 week later
#137 3 years ago

I got around to opening it up and taking off the captive opto and used a Q tip and some rubbing alcohol to clean the lower.
Ran my finger in from the bottom and it read every time.
Had a look at the autolauncher.
Getting the odd misfire.
Early guess is rubber tip need to seat further on my custom rod.
Launcher is pretty basic. Seems fine.

I made an effort to message the Boise place with the on location HM. Would be nice to get an operators opinion on service, popularity, etc.

#139 3 years ago

Needs to be the size of the screens in sw le or dialed in.
Something I can aim for to really make an impact.
I want the city scene with the dudes getting blown away and the flamethrowers

#141 3 years ago

Still having issues with lower capture.
Looks like the 'switch' board will get swapped out next.

#144 3 years ago

Hopefully, this will address my issues with ball capture.
I have a feeling it is code.
It gives the odd capture without it happening, loads 2 balls into the eject lane instead of one....

Still no fix for the Taarna ramp cover.
Must really such on location when a ball gets stuck.
I had one land and stuck between her legs.

FYI high score is still my wifes 12million.
One the cature starts fucking up I just turn it off as it messes up all players in a multi player game.
No wizard mode.... Yet, probably ever...

1 week later
#146 3 years ago

I am personally still using code 7 and still getting random 'capture' when it doesn't happen and then the game always loads 2 balls in the lane at ball start for every player.
I may just go back to the initial code.
I am also considering swapping out the capture read 'board' under the holes.

Play a SW premium or better before buying this game. Same layout, more features.

1 week later
#148 3 years ago

I finally got my night shift working ass out of bed during business hours.
Called my distributor and ordered a new optic switch for capture lock.
Gave them the part #
Got a call back, # is not in the system, now they have to call Stern to get the opto.
Told them to get it.
Game does not work correctly at all. Need it if they choose to warranty or not.
Can't be software if I am the only one having random 'capture' without it happening and then double balls in the trough.
Eliminate the 'lock' eliminate the problem???
We will see...

#149 2 years ago

So, when you enter switch test mode and it says press any switch to start.
Am I the only one where nothing happens.
I press the outlanes down, nothing.
Drop targets, nothing.
Top lanes, nothing.
Capture, nothing.

Seems weird even to Stern
I had to sign up for drop box cuz they cant use regular social media....

#151 2 years ago

Weird. Opto works initially, then basically dies after the first time it gets triggered.
Back to new opto. 55 bucks.

#153 2 years ago

I checked with Incendium.
Magazines are still held up at HM.

#155 2 years ago

They are a deal between Incendium and HM magazine.
Unfortunately HM is not the best to their subscribers.
I'm one of them.
Its still issue 300 just another rarer cover.
There were 4 alts at printing.
The pin is cover #5

#157 2 years ago

TIP

After dealing with my warranty issue, I was required to install

To share a video of the problem with tech support.

#160 2 years ago

I was told a one year sales run.
That should be around thanksgiving.
Not sure when orders (the year) officially started.
I ordered in June before it was even on the availability list for my distributor.

1 week later
#162 2 years ago

Welcome to the club.
I am still waiting on my warranty capture opto.
Over a month now.
Called my distributor last week about it....
Great game, when it's not a paperweight in the corner awaiting parts.

Quiet fan is the only thing basically left...

1 week later
#164 2 years ago

My quiet fan kits came in.
Waiting to install after my warranty period.

#165 2 years ago

I heard back from Eddie at Stern warranty.
He mis-read his report and my opto is still not in.
I asked if I get a bonus 2 months of warranty while they wait for parts they cannot provide for their warranty.

1 week later
#168 2 years ago

Does anyone in the group know of anyone who colourized titles (Pin 2 dmd, etc)
I remember years ago there was someone doing Nascar (when it was in my collection).

Being boutique I don't see this title getting the colour dmd treatment. We're most likely on our own out here for mods.

I neither have the skills or colour vision for the job.

#175 2 years ago

Still waiting on Stern for a replacement playfield optic switch (two months now).
I had to inquire to my distributor how Sterns lack of parts applies to my warranty period.
Stern has so far been quiet on the issue.

Funny how there are no spare parts for an 'in production' title.

Update: Stern claims that parts disruptions do not extend or effect your warranty period.
Darn fine print.
So make it and then don't service it. And screw you.

#177 2 years ago

I got my optic switch back from my trusted board repair guy.
Opto was re-flowed.
Game works 100% now.
I thought the solder joint looked cold and grainy.

Now we will see how long Stern takes....

Game still will give a random capture and launch 2 balls. Taking it in for service.

1 week later
#178 2 years ago

Opto wire connection was not 100%
Boyz at the shop loved playing it.
Tech wanted me to keep an eye on the threaded post as it was loose and tightens under the playfield (I think it's that way for SW home).next time you are inside, check to be sure yours are snug.
The tech was baffled as to why the plastic was not drilled and the post secured.
Happy playing, no new high score from the shop.

Do any of you owners have any connections with Stern??
I assume production is wrapped up.
I would like to know the official number of pins built.

3 weeks later
#191 2 years ago

This seems to be the only recent 'music' pin to have multiple artists.

Apparently, there is a fix for flaky ball capture lock on the SW homepin thread.

1 week later
#192 2 years ago

I am still getting flaky capture locks.
The SW homepin club suggests more permanently atraching the capture board.
I think I will try some small rubber rings to attach the board to absorb shock from gameplay. Hopefully they will pass the switch test seated farther out.
Now to just 'find' the rubber rings.

1 week later
#193 2 years ago

I had a sheet of rubber rings. I used a pin vise to drill a few small holes, stretched them with some piano wire and then cut out small squares from the tab of the ring sheet.
I put them on the screws between the opto board and the playfield.
Passed the switch test before I tightened up the posts around it and closed up.
Hopefully, this will fix my flaky locks and provide some shock resistance to the opto board.

1 month later
#194 2 years ago

I see that Incendium still has the backglass 'art print' available.
They were nice enough to match my print # to my machine.

And for those of you that feel this is not enough HM, they now have a 20K electric guitar.
It does look neat, I don't know about 20K neat.

1 week later
#196 2 years ago

Most of the boards are becoming universal.
Node 1 inner left is the same as my Aerosmith.
The CPU just writes the code on when you install the board.
Blown that one once.
Used boards will just be written over to my knowledge.

If you start getting phantom captures, check the log.
That's about the only big item I had to deal with.
Mixer mode is not bad for this pin either with the assortment of music.

What # did you score?

#209 2 years ago

Crazy, I ordered before they were even available to my distributor and got #15
I would have thought the first few would have went to Incendium themselves or Heavy Metal magazine.
Then the Stern insiders, then us common folk.

It was Heavy Metal. They never lived up to their end of the deal.
Still no issue 300 to this day.
May as well forget about a custom cover.
Thank goodness 300 was covered by my magazine subscription.
Incendium has been nothing but helpful to any of my inquiries.
They just should have listened to the due diligence.

Price is relative,
I don't see too many of these ads going down.
I would be certainly happier if most people would realize this machine is built like any other real machine and not full of plastic (shooter assembly is a biggie) like the SW homepin.

I bought in on a minimum 5 year plan.
I will see where price/demand is after that.
Even then it will probably still be a keeper.
The mixed music is such a plus.

My 2 spare sets of capture optos arrived today.
I ordered them almost a year ago (June)
Looks like parts are trickling out

I did my annual service.
Added a quiet fan kit.
It was nice to see no big blobs of glue like in Aerosmith on the fan cord.
Very fast and easy.

#227 1 year ago

What about your distributor? Or game room guys?

#230 1 year ago

I have mixed feelings.
I let my subscription run out as I found the magazine with all its multiple storyline t9 just be more miss than hit every month.
At over 20 bucks an issue here.
I was reading under half the stories as lines like Dark Wing, Savage Circus were Meh at best.
Others just were not getting enough to really want me to look forward to more.
The 2 mideavel dudes (one a haunted suit of amrour) were fun to read, the storyline reeked of an anime ripoff and not original thought and work.
Love, Death and Robots is the shit now.

#232 1 year ago

For me if the issue has Burton & Cyb it's a must have.
Those two are just funny.

I confirmed with Canada's only other Stern distributor. Mine was the only advanced order.
That's not saying it's the only one here as there are others.
It was just one of those things that I really wondered about.

If you are willing to buy it and have me ahip it, I can inquire for a PF from my distributor here in Canada.

For insider connected,
I would contact Incendiun and see if they can request it.
That's what I did when I got mine home and saw the shaker holes pre drilled.
I contacted Incendium online on Facebook (as I have in the past)
I would suggest that the # of requests will get this moving along to an answer faster.

A great multi player. My first pin with capture.

Welcome to the club.

So are there 100 plus the prototypes?
Or are the start of the run prototypes to a point?
What's so different that I can tell if a HM is one or the other?

I see it on the Stern code list.
Along with the read me file.
I would stick to the one file only on the USB and make sure to format it in a way the game will accept.
My Aerosmith code on a USB with a partition, will not read at all.

I noticed that the Incendium Art prints of the backglass art are no longer available.
I got one in leu of the missing 'special' magazine.
I do have an issue 300 of the Magazine.

Did anyone else jump in and get a matching # print?

I somehow got to Heavy Metal Meltdown and have bumped my wife off the high score.
Took me a few years, but I finally earned one.

I found the music softer and will have to adjust the sound. The shaker was going off quite a bit, probably drowned it out.

I recall the Alien space ship shooter rod was in the coin box.
I subscribed and got the issue 300 mag.
Incendium also had a limited art print of the backglass that they matched to my number.
I will have a look inside later.

Could be a pending edit.

I ordered led flipper button kits for both my titles.
HM is getting 'Loc Nar' Green.
The kits were cheaper than 20 premium balls I split between my 2 pins.
I will post pics when installed.

My subscription was very pricey for Canada.
Delivery was an issue with them not wanting to ship monthly. They changed the subscription contract after.
After 300 I was only interested in 2-3 stories/issue. None were main story issues other than Taarna.
I would have loved to see more of the Nelson story but it was split with too many issues between.
I look forward to it being finally over.
Maybe it will rise again like the OG deal plan.

My wife thinks blue would be better,
But 'Loc Nar' green seemed more appropriate.

Wow, I am really surprised with all the crappy feedback.
When I dealt with them when I got HM NiB, great service.
When my art print arrived damaged, they sent a replacement once I showed I properly destroyed the damaged one forthright.
Was chatting it up on messenger, knew they got the screw job on the magazines.
I recall they were selling all kinds of HM marketed items Guitars were $$$

I requested that they add the shaker to the code updates (was not a stock V1 code)

Anyone do anything to the ball capture post?
I am just so tempted to add a proper post,
Always seems to come loose.

I called my Stern distributor and ordered the rubber listed part post rubber 545-5308-00
I assume it is the post and rubber as one part.
I am going to wrap the unused threads in some tape to fill in the gap and absorb some of that impact energy. My capture stock is so loose you can trap a ball straight in from the flippers.
My capture opto is giving false locks, time to tighten it up. I put some rubber between the board and the PF earlier.
For now I swapped it with another post that has support from above.

#267 3 months ago

I heard back from my distributor.
The post is available seperate from it's rubber.
I order 9 sets.
Naturally none were in stock.
Invoiced, paid 91.50 for 9 sets of post and rubber.
The capture post is toast.

I will have to look at the post to it's right and the one to the left by the loop entrance.
These 3 posts take the most direct punishment.

I may yet take them into work and measure them with a micrometer and see how much loss it takes.

I was having some spotty locks with the primary lower opto.
I had to remove it to be sure the T nut didn't damage it when I swapped the far right middle post.
I still have not gone to look for larger T nuts to upgrade the other 2 main posts.
The target bank covers these 2 T nuts so it's no quick easy swap.
Still no cheap ass posts from Stern yet.

Anyhow, I removed my rubber cushioning from the opto screws and am back to solid opto readings. I probably had one side tighter than the other and caused it to be at an angle.

I have committed to taking my machine to Pinfest this year. Hopefully some people will finally see this is a real Pro cab.

#272 56 days ago

I find the capture post needs to be replaced first.
All the hits to it wear off the threads.
Should be able to get them from Marco.
I have not looked for Tnuts yet for the other post swaps I want to do.
Leveling should fix most issues with the right ramp cover getting hit and coming loose and needing to be put back in place.
Personally, I am waiting for one of you to either win the lotto or find a way to colorize the dmd.
It's usually over 100hrs to color dmd program, with so few out there, I don't see it happening.

I contacted my Stern distributor again today, the only current distributor in my province, where I got the machine.
I shook the tree to see what the fuck Stern is going to do about these posts.
I told them that the target bank (underside) partially covers the T nuts for the middle and left middle posts.
He was going to hit up the techs to see what they have in the way of T nuts.
Said he hoped to have a real answer from Stern by days end.
If I don't hear from them in a week, I will be calling back.
I have committed to take mine to a show in June and want it all modded by then.
When the real posts arrive I will post a Pic with the part number as it's always on the baggie.

#277 52 days ago

I supplied Stern with this Pic.
I also supplied it to an independent pinball parts supplier.
Let's see who can figure it out, and send the right posts.
Otherwise clearance by the target bank WILL be an issue, for more robust posts, especially if they have no T nut attachment or if the nut is larger than the smaller Guage ones currently installed.
