So, is spike 1 and 2 compatible enough to interchange? Which home pins have the same boardset as heavy metal?

Quoted from ThatOneDude:Also, had anyone made a backup of the SD card? If so, could I grab a copy for an experiment?
Did you ever find out how to make a back up?

No. I would like to grab a copy at some point.

I'm not savvy about pinball machines, but I saw some sort update or code for it on stern's website. I don't know, if that would have what you want.
If you start getting phantom captures, check the log.
That's about the only big item I had to deal with.
Mixer mode is not bad for this pin either with the assortment of music.
What # did you score?

Number 1. Bought it new in the box.
Crazy, I ordered before they were even available to my distributor and got #15
I would have thought the first few would have went to Incendium themselves or Heavy Metal magazine.
Then the Stern insiders, then us common folk.
It was Heavy Metal. They never lived up to their end of the deal.
Still no issue 300 to this day.
May as well forget about a custom cover.
Thank goodness 300 was covered by my magazine subscription.
Incendium has been nothing but helpful to any of my inquiries.
They just should have listened to the due diligence.

Interesting. Not surprised, since Heavy Metal has been having trouble with resources for years. Their output has been spotty.
What's really aggravating is knowing that there are hundreds of unused playfields just gathering dust, when people want them.
Quoted from Pozzest01:So do you think all the new in box ones have been sold?
I haven't heard of a NIB for sale for a while from a distributor. Just a couple of wildly overpriced ones that pop up occasionally on the pinside market.
Price is relative,
I don't see too many of these ads going down.
I would be certainly happier if most people would realize this machine is built like any other real machine and not full of plastic (shooter assembly is a biggie) like the SW homepin.
I bought in on a minimum 5 year plan.
I will see where price/demand is after that.
Even then it will probably still be a keeper.
The mixed music is such a plus.

Bought mine a few weeks ago new in box. Just happened to be in the right place at the right time.

May I ask what you had to give for it?
Yea I’d love to get a spare playfield for mine
I mean 300 were supposed to have been made
I think around 100 were made. There should be 200 extra fields

yeah even if the game never got to its full run there's definitely a strong market for any spare playfields and backglasses for wall art
I had a possible contact for a damaged game, and I tried to get a playfield preemptively to repair it(should I get the game). Stern canceled the order, and said the playfields were for warranty work only. Very sad if that's the case forever.
My 2 spare sets of capture optos arrived today.
I ordered them almost a year ago (June)
Looks like parts are trickling out
I did my annual service.
Added a quiet fan kit.
It was nice to see no big blobs of glue like in Aerosmith on the fan cord.
Very fast and easy.

I suppose that would mean you can buy the damaged game and submit a warranty request to buy a playfield.
So heavy metal is releasing a new series, and I have sent so many emails to stern about a sore playfield but nothing
Quoted from Templewd:There’s the YouTube link
And it was supposed to be spare playfield not sore
Holy crap. That looks amazing!
I have mixed feelings.
I let my subscription run out as I found the magazine with all its multiple storyline t9 just be more miss than hit every month.
At over 20 bucks an issue here.
I was reading under half the stories as lines like Dark Wing, Savage Circus were Meh at best.
Others just were not getting enough to really want me to look forward to more.
The 2 mideavel dudes (one a haunted suit of amrour) were fun to read, the storyline reeked of an anime ripoff and not original thought and work.
Love, Death and Robots is the shit now.
I currently have about 2/3 of the entire run. I'm patching in the gaps with ebay and the occasional bulk purchase. Anyone needing some older issues(not always in mint condition), hit me up.
