I had to transport my TSPP pinball across the country back in June and decided to make some head and rail protectors. I normally just use old scraps of carpet foam to put between the head and rails. But I wanted to design a part for my printer to make. Not really a super useful thing when you can just use cardboard or foam. But this was just a fun test.
I 3D print the main parts and then used adhesive backed foam sheets to provide the cushion and to prevent scratches. Thin black foam was used on the head U shaped area and side wall piece. Then used much thicker grey foam on the part that touches the rail.
Worked like a charm during my 900 mile trip.
Might design some William/Bally ones next time I take a machine to a show.
