We saw this at a Stern Tour last week. Its a modified Spiderman layout with 2 ramps, LED lamps and Color LED panel. The panel is made of a bunch of individual tiny LEDS that are RGB if I recall. It's made specifically as a home model and won't be used in commercial machines.

This machine had one speaker in the front of the cab and no coin door. Its made with simplicity for the casual home user. I imagine it gets one software version. It runs on the spike 2 system. I heard various prices so I wont' quote them but its obviously less that a Stern pro model.

Actually there are alot of differences between the home model and PRO. The only solenoids are trough and bumpers. No drops, no moving target bank, etc. They also use an LED panel made of individual LEDS (not lcd monitor). I think the lighting is all single white boards if I recall. Sound is one speaker. Its specifically made for the casual user, not enthusiast or to be used commercially. It is their next generation 'The Pin' at a reduced cost.

Quoted from dmbjunky:

Nothing functionally different about this game compared to a Pro model except the coin door. If set next to each other, it might make their Pros look bad to the casual player with that LED screen.
Maybe I'll buy one, put a coin door in it and wire the coin door to the start button. On quarter play, this thing might just blow everything out of the water if it plays decent.

This will never replace the PRO version of Sterns games since they are commercial games with coin mechs and made to withstand abuse. This is simply a line of games for non-pinball enthusiasts that want something to go with the foosball table in their gameroom.

Quoted from xTheBlackKnightx:

New uninformed buyers will not care.
Stern "Pro Edition" pinball machine of the future.
This is an extended test market product.
However, this is not going to be fully market released until the product is positioned to do so.
There is a reason.
This is not yet the time, prices have to rise a bit more for their "real" titles and a formal agreement of where it will offered to consumers for maximum return.
My guess is online via sources such as WalMart, versus Costco, anywhere that will reach the largest audience in multiple countries.
Stern is prepping the stage, and testing the waters.
This will eventually happen.
Not everyone is an actual collector of commercial games.
