Quoted from xTheBlackKnightx:

It is worse than when Stern made Simpsons Kooky Carnival made out of TSPP leftover parts and the license before it expired.

Wow that would look cool in a man cave and I'm sure it'd be a hit with kids and even adults at parties! Didn't know about this machine...

BlackKnight makes a good point with the resale value.
People are comparing the 4k for this machine to the 6.5k premium, and looking at the differences for the 2.5k.
Personnally, I never bought an NIB, but I did own an HUO MET Pro for a while. I owned if for a while then sold it back at the price I got it so it cost me 0$.
Let's assume that NIBs are pretty close to the top of the price curve right now, and that potentially it's downhill from here in a few years (or maybe it's not, but let's just go with the more negative scenario).
When you buy a new LE 6.5k and the market goes down, your LE will still hold some value. Let's say you're able to get a 4 or 5k for it, since there is slightly less demand, but the people who are still into it are the collectors.
Try selling your home edition at that point.
I'm pretty sure the yard sale scenario BlackKnight highlighted is valid.
So it's not 6.5k to 4k, it's the LE costing you 1.5k or 2.5k to the Home Edition costing you 3.5k let's say you manage to get 500$ for it down the line.
