Quoted from gambit3113:

Deadpool is on the calendar for August. Source: I saw the email to the distros. Well, at least the part about DP.

What did it say about JP prems

#6392 2 years ago
Quoted from docquest:

Looks good except the Japanese original version came out on 1954. The heavily edited American version with Raymond Burr added came out in 1956.

So pretend he averaged them who cares

Quoted from j_m_:

ps
I agree with your comment that I would take this over chipping and pooling, however at $10K+, should we really have to settle for any of the above? would you settle for a $10K+ watch that only loses 2 seconds a week or a pella door frame and door that only lets in a little bit of a draft? (trying to stay away from car-guments)

Yeah I'd be pissed if my game is planked like that. Even if it lasts 20 years, it's not what I expect when I buy a new pin. I'd probably just ignore it until I get the next game, then fix it.

#6932 2 years ago

Isn't godzilla SUPPOSED to smash the towers? You guys should be happy they are getting broken

#6936 2 years ago
Quoted from Muymanwell:

I won one of Stern's "Gameroom of the Month" giveaways for December, and my prize just arrived...sadly, he's just a little too small to take the spot behind the bridge
[quoted image]

That is kinda nightmare fuel

#7080 2 years ago
Quoted from dgposter:

Mine got stuck there, too. I warmed up his arm with a heat gun and repositioned it out of the way. The ball rolls freely past that spot now.

Heat gun? Shoulda used your heat ray

#7091 2 years ago
Quoted from Lounge:

The difference between the two is 1/16” - I don’t think that’s going to matter.

Quoted from chuckwurt:

Yeah I’ll get 2-3 easy ones, then the feed goes wonky and screws up my timing. Much more makable then like shadow though.

This is what happens to me. On the third loop the ball always feeds out too far away from the flipper.

#7339 2 years ago
Quoted from radium:

This is what happens to me. On the third loop the ball always feeds out too far away from the flipper.

So I just managed to get 5 loops. I had to nudge left when I flipped for loops 3, 4, 5. Then I missed the 6th.

Not sure if I'm just a bad shot or this game has a setup issue.

#7341 2 years ago
Quoted from chuckwurt:

Just have to hit the loop a certain way to keep the feed consistent. Hard to manage when the speed of the shot is always changing.

Makes sense, I'm probably going into the loop too high and it bangs off the guide and loses momentum.

#7343 2 years ago

Free Tip: you might sell more of your mods if your marketplace ad has pictures that show the mod actually installed in the game instead of just sitting on a table next to a bag of cat food.

#7365 2 years ago

If that’s what you’re upset about I think you’ll be ok

There should be a Pinside achievement for having your rant dismantled by a game’s designer in its own club thread.

#7402 2 years ago
Quoted from txstargazer3:

Or hatch? I might be in for that.

Only if you sit on it long enough

#7434 2 years ago
Quoted from eyeamred2u:

Tape off the powder coat, buy some evaporust, then spray the rust, then rinse with hot water. Will neutralize. No one will see it, can always repaint the ends.

If you don’t coat metal that you used evaporust on, the metal will oxidize again. Might as well paint or clear it.

Quoted from Magicmike0:

Found a bag of shooter rod knobs. Anybody need me to pick them some up. They got plenty in stock
Haha. Yeah I kid and I will end up ordering one at some point I’m sure.

$2.99? Going to just swipe some out of my kid's easter basket next month.

And that's why you read and follow the directions on the product.

freddy knows his stuff... directions even tell you

The SD card is the limit at the moment. I think Stern ships them all with only 8gb.

No.

Quoted from gumnut01:

Went with the green 5.25” from Doug. The flamin looks hot, but wanted like the look of the other when it’s turned off. Also a sucker for continuity between my pins. [quoted image]

#8136 2 years ago
Quoted from Belvedere:

Thanks to Sonic for these MRS switches! I feel like the one to the right of the scoop makes for smoother skill shots, & the one below the pop makes for a smoother transition to the flippers. I also put one on my WH20 in that notoriously bad "canyon main" switch position. They work flawlessly & are easy to install. I definitely recommend them !!

#8217 2 years ago
Quoted from PinMonk:

I remember when I could get a Shadow for around $1000 when it was out of favor for a decade or so. Those days are gone.

I passed on so many shadows and BSD thinking they would always be cheap. Alas I’ve owned neither but love both.

The way they approached the theme makes it relatable for anyone, fan or not. It thematically reminds me of BM66 and MB in a way, where it takes something old and campy and makes it cool. Only pinball can pull that off so well.

Quoted from pluto:

While I love this game and have fun playing it but I've found myself playing my JP Premium more because I am SO bad at the left ramp shot on GZ. Like I feel like even with fewer plays on JP I feel confident I can hit MOST shots when needed with confidence but the left ramp on GZ is the bane of my existence. Anyone else struggle with it a ton?

Same here. Great game but I can’t get the feel of that left ramp. It was fine at first and then the setup changed and now I just can’t find the shot reliably. I’m also really bad at outlane saves on this one.

[quoted image]

Only PAAS Marble is good enough for me but I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to my shooter eggs.

(just kidding, only mods full of 3D printer lines are good enough for me)

Quoted from SantaEatsCheese:

Any rumours on a topper for this one? I'll probably make my own but want to see what Stern has in store.

I heard it’s an Easter basket full of eggs

Quoted from IODMako:

Got my Godzilla Side armor and installed it. Anyone else underwhelmed at the quality? The gold inlay is sort of gold paper or similar. Doesn't seem as though it will stand up to time and will degrade. Anyway, just curious of opinions of others and what they think about this side armor kit.[quoted image]

You can get gold/green/etc foil for a couple bucks and would probably look better.

#9868 1 year ago
Quoted from HoakyPoaky:

I’ve found that as the code has been updated, the magna grab seems to be grabbing the ball less often. I’m referring to the moment when the manga grab insert is lit, you hit the magnet, the magnetic Godzilla animation plays, and the imposter insert is lit. I played a game the other night when it didn’t grab it at all in that moment.
But it’s functioning fine for all other moments, like Destruction Jackpots, etc. I’m guessing it’s a coding thing that needs to be adjusted again.

Agree, maybe it was adjusted to make magnet last longer or something but it’s noticeable. Doesn’t really affect gameplay though I guess.

Didn’t you watch Brewsters Millions?

Quoted from Lermods:

It was his idea, but our design. We gave him full credit by calling it the Abe Flips shooter lane fix, we got permission from him to go ahead and make the design and offered it for free for anyone who could print it.
It's more sad and disappointing to see some pinsiders being so quick to jump on us. I did not tell Brucipher he could not give them away for free. I merely asked him to note that they were our brackets in his post to give us credit. I didn't think that was too much to ask.
