Quoted from NashtyFunk:

Got word from a distro the LEs should be headed out by the end of this week. I havent paid a lot of attention to all the threads. Anyone else hearing the same?

Yes I am hearing the same distros should know about ship dates etc hopefully by the end of the week.

Quoted from PinMonk:

I've taken baseline temps for the magnet in 0.77 before code was updated to 0.79 because the magnet handling is supposed to have changed, and this will be a good way to see if it improved the temps and by how much. The magnet does get pretty hot. 166F in 60 minutes of play, with no end in sight, so I could see it breaking 200F in another hour.
I'll try it again after an update to 0.79 and see where it's at, but this is what it looks like now...
An add-on for Spike Tibetan Breeze kits to cool the magnet is underway.
[quoted image]

I’m guessing at least a 15% reduction in temps overall on .79 code.

Anyone have a shot map for the premium/LE? Maybe one that shows in a different color the alternate paths available once diverted through the building and elsewhere?

Wow wow wow! Is all I can say after unboxing today. Connecting the actual Game to my stern insider account was probably the only confusing part of the entire set up. I’ve had zero issues out of the box and the balls come down to the left and right flipper. I’m almost dead on level. Maybe a hair bias to the left. This game really is that good believe the hype. The shots are so varied and butter smooth. Early code is impressive as well. My only complaint is my ball gets stuck on soft plunges in between the mechagodzilla turn table and the back of the scoop. Anyone having this happen? Thank you Stern and team for an amazing title delivered in record time without issue!!!!

Had my best game so far tonight. What a rush. The game keeps showing me new things every time I play. The light shows, music, call outs etc are amazing I can’t even imagine what the team has left in store for us. I’m so thrilled with this game. The way it flows the mechs the diverted shots the magna grab it’s all so cohesive and doesn’t feel gimmicky. Having this next to JP it’s interesting to note how many Elwin games have a centerish spinner shot that feeds the upper flipper. So cool. So fun. Even my girlfriend plays the heck out of it!

This game channels my inner 9 year old clearly…lol…Too good not to share!

The folks involved with the development of Godzilla have to be the A team over at stern. You can really see the collaboration between rules art effects and layout that come together in a beautiful symphony of a game.

#2852 2 years ago
Quoted from EaglePin:

New Destruction Jackpot rules look pretty good. Can't wait to play this update!!!

Sitting at work…wondering..will my game update itself before I return home…can’t wait to play the new code.

#2870 2 years ago
Quoted from Nikko:

Will it update itself or do we need to do it?

Kenswift nailed it.

Quoted from Selig:

Just got my shipping notification. Premium delivering next Tuesday!

You’re gonna be very happy!! Congratulations

#2960 2 years ago

Came home and updated. No lights on and the game’s GI is lit against the mirrored back glass and I got this reflection on the ceiling.

Quoted from Bmanpin:

Same on mine with the screech. Never heard that one before.

I got the screech when it reset after the update. Odd.

#3011 2 years ago

Holy crap just played the updated code wow I’m speechless. This is the best game I have ever played hands down and I’m not just saying that because it’s new and the latest thing.

#3021 2 years ago

Left ramp through the building down the bridge to the magnet feeding the loop shot brilliantly executed. The shots are so butter.

D9CC007D-FD41-466B-957E-5F7A598866BD (resized).pngD9CC007D-FD41-466B-957E-5F7A598866BD (resized).png
#3032 2 years ago
Quoted from PinMonk:

Two ramps. The other is hidden in the left corner and is a switchback ramp that feeds the left habitrail.

The building entrance is a bash toy. The optos are placed ahead of the rubber bumpers on the left and right of the building entrance, so rejected shots that aren't shot through the building smoothly still register as a bash. Magna grab is a newton ball, too, so kind of a bash toy.

It's really one of the best pins at release. Software is really mature for 0.81.
A recent gripe that I thought I was imagining is the video compression being a LOT worse than other recent titles. Turns out, it objectively IS. I happened to let the attract mode run when I was working on something else and caught the play demo, which is a LOT uglier and DEFINITELY more compressed than prior recent Spike games' play demo with the exact same game demo footage (how to insert money, start a game, shoot a ball, flip a flipper, etc). Gross. Dial it back a few notches, Stern.

I don’t know about you guys but I’d consider the mechagodzilla shield target a bash toy of sorts. I mean it’s a spinning ramp spinner target bash mech no? Also empty? Three spinners two ramps an amazing ball diverting building mech that changes the shots and freaking collapsing bridge diverter and first ever mangna grab magnet with captive ball target behind it! Empty…wtf!

#3097 2 years ago
Quoted from cooked71:

As I said, I played the pro. There’s no mecha ramp toy, collapsible bridge or moving building.
Did you read the actual post? I said it was empty but awesome through clever design.
Empty was an observation not a criticism.

My bad. Haven’t played the pro so I wouldn’t be able to comment but the premium is def packed.

#3100 2 years ago
Quoted from Oilrat:

Le # 535 finally checking in. Was delivered this morning and OMG what a amazing pin. Me and my two sons have been playing it all day non stop, super fun and what a great shooter. The decals on the cab are super cool. The playfield layout is incredible and the collapsing building, holy crap stern has knocked this out of the park.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Damn that means a lot coming from someone with that kind of extensive collection!! Too cool.

#3244 2 years ago

Left orbit into 180 ramp through the diverted building shot over the bridge that falls down on que to feed down to the magnet then feeding the upper flipper for the loop shot…just genius!

I emailed Stern last night about my
Shaker motor failing. It was making high pitched noises before it ultimately just stopped working. Stern has already gotten back to me in under 24 hours and is sending out a replacement under warranty. Pablo knows his stuff…I still miss Chas…but glad someone with the right knowledge and attentiveness to the customer has taken over the reigns. FWIW Stern has always be willing to help me out over the years even on out of warranty items! Thanks for continuing the commitment to your customers we greatly appreciate it!

Quoted from Flipstream:

It's the main Godzilla MB that has all the points right now...

When I got my GC of over half a billion…I know not that great…however I recall being in rampage mode. That might not be the huge points you’re looking for but I’ve yet to top my score nor get into rampage mode. I also hit 19 loops my best game with several destruction jackpots and heat ray attacks (triggered by my gut mostly)!

Where does one obtain such a mod?

#4969 2 years ago
Quoted from Allibaster:

What's the general consensus on the Megalon battle?
That one feels significantly harder than the other three to me. By the time I find the shot (in sometime a mess of colors and arrows), line it up, it's already moved to another random (?) spot. It's kind of a waste of a battle, in my opinion.

At least the music is dope af when he comes out.

#5002 2 years ago
Quoted from PinKopf:

By the way, has anyone heard Keith comment on the difficult post-pass situation? I'm assuming he specifically designed it for post-passing to not work and force you to hit shots and use other ball control skills to transition the ball to the needed flipper for a shot?? That's some kind of mad genius move right there...
Don't know about everyone else, but I at least cannot effectively post-pass on this game, you get an odd loopy bounce with crazy spin that just throws the ball off the opposite flipper once it lands, completely throwing you into an uncontrolled reactive shot. Every steam I've seen seems others are the same? Not being able to post-pass at will is a first for me on any modern game that I recall.
I'm wondering if Titan or other rubber for the slings will impact this -- but I'm not sure if I want to change this either...

He’s not a fan of backflips either.

I emailed Terry at Pinballlife a couple of days ago about some coils, but no response. Anyone know if they're having problems with their website or something?

Could be the new year.

Quoted from HurryUpPinball:

Thanks for the feedback TonyVRD! I’m glad it solved your issue. Each machine is going to play a little different. The first ball on my pin would barely clip the left flipper and the next two would immediately hit the drain with the game perfectly level. My friend has one on location and his sent all 3 down the drain when level so I just wanted to add this as an option to fix the issue for those experiencing it. I also wanted to dress up the building as it is pretty plain up there. If anyone would like to order one, I created a forum topic found here: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/godzilla-prem-le-building-mod-multi-ball-sdtm-fix
The direct link to the pinside shop is here: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/godzilla-prem-le-building-mod-multi-ball-sdtm-fix
I also figured I would share the prototype box with all the trial and error pieces. Tried lots of angles and designs before I got to the final mod.
[quoted image][quoted image]

Buy this mod people! It not only looks great but it’s actually improved functionality. Super easy install and keeps the balls from all going sdtm. Thank you!

So Karl iePinball was just streaming Godzilla and the call out said Karl Karl Karl! Does the new code use insider connect to say your name while you’re playing now or is it all mere coincidence??

Just ordered the Stumblor Pinball Scoop sign mod. Looks super cool but, I admit, I find myself scrutinizing how much these mods are going for nowadays. A couple hundo for a lit up sign isn't cheap. Maybe I'm alone in my sentiment but, the increases in the cost of games across the board is making me pause a bit before I just buy up everything. Pinsaditums are $600 now? WTF? Anyone else feel the same?

New mod day before and after the DIDDY mod! Been putting this off for months. Glad I finally got around to it! Looks great and is fully integrated into the gameplay light shows!
