I bet if you look at the clear bridge plastic pieces they are chewed up from hitting each other. I fixed mine yesterday.
Have had a new Godzilla for a month and my bridge has never collapsed, even though it registers completely destroyed. The plastic bridge pieces are a little chewed up and one of the screws was never completely tightened. Loosened screws and slid pieces away, but bridge still does not collapse. Maybe it's a solenoid or switch?
