For us Canadians under the Trudeau Communist regime, that’s alotta canadian bacon.
Really wouldn’t want those breaking
Lead is quite malleable. No?
Jks
Quoted from eyeamred2u:They are not made of lead now, so let's not get carried away. An air ball has been known to happen in pinball.
Seconded. Sound advice.
Quoted from NovaCade:Congrats on your NIB premium. It’s a great game and the code is only getting better. Be careful, NIB is an addiction, expect 2 more before the years over haha
Not a chance. I keep maiden
And wait to land Zilla Prem
And I suspect Zilla will be competing with Maiden for my Fav all time pin, which is currently Maiden
Quoted from PinMonk:I'd keep the Maiden LE. You can get a Godzilla Premium in the future. You may not be able to reacquire a Maiden LE at a reasonable price, and it's a great game. Get a Godzilla Pro to tide you over.
PinMonk, I would just like to say,
You sir, are a gem. thnx
Quoted from PinMonk:I never had a spotlight fall out after doing this:
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/fixing-led-bulbs-flashers-that-fall-out-of-spotlights#post-4402506
Give it a shot.
Is there a thread for annoying shots?
Because I would like to submit Aerosmith Right Ramp. That SOB moves I tells ya! Dodges my shots. You can’t convince me otherwise. Lol.
If you can afford it
Go premium.
The longer you keep the game, the more you play it, the more you will appreciate the Premium added features.
Could you please post a picture of where you soldered the connection & install ?
Thanks.
Looks great.
Quoted from Selig:I don’t think I have seen many pictures of the AIQ rod lit up on Godzilla so thought I would share. Thanks to Blakester for the instructions to wire it in. It ends up soldered to the rgb block that runs the UFO flasher, so it is semi permanent I guess but I think it ends up looking awesome. [quoted image][quoted image]
Well said.
It’s not a cheap hobby.
Over time, decades etc. A pinhead who buys NIB from distributors is going to spend $$$, hundreds of thousands $.
If a distributor is only interested in selling me 1 or 2 pins and stick me with bs fees. Then so be it. They’ll never have my business again.
If I’m committed, I’ll honor my agreement but won’t buy from them again.
Fool me once…
I have zero tolerance for such dishonesty & greed.
Key is to never accept such nonsense as normal practice. There are A LOT of good pinball distributors and genuinely nice people.
Give Them your business.
For me, it’s not about getting a “deal” on a pin.
I prefer to build lifelong honest relationships.
The piece of mind and overall ease when working with an honest distributor is what I strive to have.
End of my Rant.
;P
Quoted from Muymanwell:i just refuse to do business with the ones who do that...if enough people can, they'll see a hit in their bottom line, and adjust. some offer free shipping (from them to me, obviously), etc., while still being msrp. those are the ones who get my business
My approach is to keep to Elwin’s design. Period.
I change nothing as far as gameplay goes.
Really considered the rooftop mod, more for its aesthetic appeal than the ball release to left flipper. That mod really adds to the drake hotel roof. Looks great!
But decided I want to play the game as intended and designed. Just my take on it.
Tho I fully support each individual’s approach to mods. Pinball is supposed to be fun. If a mod or post shift change efc makes it work for you and You enjoy the game more than that’s really all that matters.
I prefer to struggle ALL the way. lol
Then when I’ve put 100s of games on the pin,
It all SLOWLY comes together. ;P
Quoted from fooflighter:So I heard Mr Elwin say on a TPN podcast that the goal of the ball release off the building is supposed to hit the very tip of the left flipper to prevent going back up the ramp or building on an instant return and getting a ball stuck, by design .. now I'm wondering if I should add the roof mod
Still don't have my machine yet but how many with a roof diverter mod installed have batted a ball back to a ball trap since installing?
Thanks
My sentiments Exactly.
Quoted from 1963BSARGS:I’d buy one that fills in and completes the existing artwork rather than a being whole new picture.
I don’t even have mine yet
And I have added shaker motors to my other pins.
Granted, with Some pins the shaker doesn’t add much or “enough”
However, I CANNOT imagine not adding a shaker to Zilla. I have already bought it and it is sitting on my shelf waiting for the pin.
My 2C. lol
Quoted from unclerudy:what do you guys think of the shaker motor on this game? Is it necessary? What does it add? What am I missing without it?
Every ball has the potential to be a Billion point ball.
Every ball has the potential to give you the pin adrenaline run of your life.
Just try to enjoy each ball.
Anyone know how and where to get
Custom Mirrored backglass made?
ie the ones Stern puts on LEs.
Please let me know. Thanks.
would you please share a picture ?
Quoted from fooflighter:A small washer in the coil stop works perfect. Put it in at day 1 before the first flip and have never had a problem with the bridge slamming on the new plastic. Bridge still has plenty of clearance for the ball to fall through when it's broken and complete all of it's destruction animations as well
I find cupping then attempting the shot from the right flipper gives me a hit without draining left ~70% of the time.
With the ball moving tho, it’s a tough shot to make for me intentionally without just getting lucky.
If the flippers are on the dots, I don’t adjust.
Perhaps increasing or decreasing pitch Slightly might make that shot more accessible… ?
Quoted from Tomass:Question, am I the only one who has a really hard time hitting the Maser target directly from the flipper? Wondering if I need to adjust my flippers as it is almost impossible.
Quoted from smokinhos:What have you guys done near mecha's arm in the premium? I've had two balls get jammed there and several nearly get stuck.
This is the only solution I have seen proposed.
I’m pondering that same question myself.
can always get a new GZ at MSRP, for the next 3 years anyway. then GZ will still be available on secondary market.
just try to find a Metallica now, don't see many come up.
but if you can only have one, must choose... I would go with GZ.
Quoted from ticktockman:Have a chance to get a Metallica Premium for my Godzilla Premium. Should I pull off the trade? What do you guys think?
Seconded
Quoted from bloodonthepins:The new music in godzilla multiball and the imposter shot change are both really cool changes. Not so sure about the new default difficulty for kaiju battle qualification though.
True Story.
Same with mine, hits tip of flipper, and setup quite nicely. When level.
Quoted from Pugster:Elwin said in a podcast it’s by design as others have stated. My suggestion is level, re-level, and check your level again. When it’s completely dialed in I can confirm (on mine) that balls hit the tip of the left flipper. As a bonus the destruction jackpot is easier to hit and the game seems to play even better than before. It’s really worth the effort and time.

Brand new, in box.
I like to compare and decide on mods in person.
Make me a Fair offer and I’ll ship out to you.
DM me if interested.
I’m in Canada, but will ship to USA
It can.
I used clear zip ties
And now it hangs half broken.
Was going to replace it, but figured it works or rather “more integrated” as you said. Lol
They can be replaced, but Im not too eager to spend $100CAD for 1 tower.
Quoted from Sly_Old_Devil:Hmnn, I hate to see things broken when it comes to pins but it does look more "theme integrated" that way...if it can be propped like that it'd look cool, imho.
no flipper response.
UPDATE:
Solder broke off once I touched it.
Discovered broken connection.
Will solder back. Thank you for the help.
Quoted from AMartin56:Have you lifted the playfield to check out the flipper mech? Everything look okay visually? Turn the game off first.
Quoted from Sorokyl:On the subject of the plume. I think a lot of people are comparing it to the ZY artwork. But the atomic breath is not a laser beam. It has several looks during this Showa period, and honestly the Topper version is not that far off, and maybe even closer than the ZY version...
Interesting.
Not being a GZ movie fan, I had no idea.
Thanks for sharing

I literally just now installed the 4” Kickers on my Prem.
Huge difference. Noticeable difference in clarity & quality of sound. Definitely worth the $60 upgrade on speakers IMHO
https://a.co/d/2hwgmMj
Quoted from OTRChief:Did you upgrade the speakers on your Pro or Premium? If so, what speakers did you use? Did it make a noticeable difference?
Does the video sequence interfere with anyone else’s magna drop ?
What I mean is,
But the time the magna drop responds to my flippers, the ball has lost all swinging momentum on the magnet, so it just drops straight down. No chance at getting the imposter via magna grab ball Swing/drop.
Any advice? Anyone else have this issue ?
Thanks.
IM = Iron Man
IMDN = Iron Maiden
Quoted from BrokenChair:So I’ve decided to get deadpool to compliment GZ and IM!
Godzilla Topper:
I like it.
Now that I see it on My GZ, I actually like it.
Wasn’t inexpensive, but I see value and think it goes well with the GZ pin overall.
I would like to thank the Stern team for making the topper moddable. It was VERY easy to swap out GZ figurine for a better one, as if the screw holes were intended for an upgrade
I like it. My 2 cents.

Thank you. Great suggestion, much appreciated.
Made the recommended change, looks much better.
Quoted from arzoo:You can reverse the black stand-offs on the plastic mount so that Godzilla is a bit lower and then bend him over so his mouth is over the atomic breath. Still not perfect but better. Just a suggestion.
[quoted image][quoted image]
Quoted from SteelCurtain333:Hi-where did you get the upgraded figurine?
The websites below are Not where I got mine, as it seems the price on the one I used has really gone up, and it’s out of stock in some places.
I have included websites below for info on the figurines. I would recommend looking around to find best price.
https://www.toysonfire.ca/shop/product/godzilla-1964-76237?page=466
This is the figurine I used 1964 GZ. Except i painted it to match the backglass and PF GZs
This figure (one I used) 1964 GZ stands a bit tall, so you would need to use the included piece like I did to gap the plasma breath from the figurine. I prefer mine.
Others have used this figurine, 1956 GZ
https://www.toysonfire.ca/shop/product/godzilla-1956-72881
which is the perfect height. I would recommend using this 1956 GZ figurine as it seems to sit better. I just personally prefer the size and look of the one I used instead 1964. I bought both and compared.
This (image below) is the 1956 GZ.
And my painted figurine 1964 with the 1956 GZ unpainted which I opted not to use.

I would agree, Tail Whip
Another for me is
Is hitting/ripping the tank spinner, then the ball going part way around right orbit only to return and drain out the left lane. Not hard to hit, but It’s annoying the way it returns and drains.
Quoted from BrokenChair:I totally forgot about Tailwhip you’re right about that maybe
Had same problem.
I closed over the single set of wires instead of double/looping for that one.
Not sure if I did right, but hasn’t blown up yet lol.
Quoted from VisitorQ:Just picked up a NIB Godzilla topper that I see comes with Ferrites. I know shaker motors have came with these in the past but this is the first time I am seeing them with a topper installation. In any case, I was able to get the one installed on the CAT 5 wire but not the one on the C7 power cable. The reason I can't get the one installed on the power cable is became it has double the wires shown in the picture and trying to jam them all in the Ferrite, well they just don't fit.
Has anyone else ran into this issue and if so, did you just leave it uninstalled or?
[quoted image]
That’s Sleal16 GZ figurine. He makes them and paints them.
I think it’s the best fit for the game, IMHO.
It is perfect.
I’m not sure if he is still making them, as he is now focused on on his IMDM mods & topper. But you could message him and see.
Quoted from tbaum:more importantly - which figure is that you're using to replace the Stern Godzilla? It looks perfect.
I like to think of it as that last building is destroyed, toast, done, so nothing left to burn or no longer have lights lit. Fits
This 100%
Quoted from Scala:imo it's a bug when a should-be-skippable cutscene blocks you from getting a chance at turning the magnet off for an imposter reward at the left lane because the ball stops swinging before you're allowed to drop it. (I know you can shoot backwards up the lane for the reward, but it's less fun)
Go premium.
Not for the collapsing building
But for the MechaGz turning Mech. That spinner ramp with the targets, rotating, is really something else. Changes the playfield and flow.
IMO you wouldn’t miss the building
But the GZ turning ramp/spinner, is worth it IMO.
Quoted from MoSeS_1592:I'm sure this has already been asked but for the people who have played both the pro and premium versions extensively, is the premium version worth the extra money?
There is absolutely no need for them on Any Stern.
The over advertising and pushing of these “precision flippers” on EVERY thread is rather annoying.
Also applies to every mod that starts with the word “pin-“. Too many burner accounts trying to push these mods, it’s annoying.
Quoted from Bublehead:I just don't see the NEED for them on my machines
