Hey all, just about to join the GZ club with a premium arriving next week (hopefully)...quick question for recent recipients of a GZ premium, does the scoop come with a protector already installed? It shows on Sterns prem picture gallery but I also noticed Cliffy has one as well (outside of the base protection package)?

Things take a while to ship to NZ so I want to order just what I need, asap, from Cliffy but need to know/confirm if I should get the scoop protector too (or not if the prem comes with an acceptable one from factory).

Hmnn, I hate to see things broken when it comes to pins but it does look more "theme integrated" that way...if it can be propped like that it'd look cool, imho.

Finally in the club after a 4 month wait to get a replacement for my freight dropped first GZ delivery attempt...AIQ now has a friend.

Just a heads up in case this isn't a one-off, my one week old GZ Prem had a screw fall out of the Heat Ray spinner switch which got jammed in the building mech (right on cue as GZ multiball started)...scared the shit outta me with the horrendous grinding noise and stuck building. Took me a little while to work out what happend, after manually winding the building I heard a loose thing rattle around (turned out to be the screw). After finding the loose screw at the back of the playfield it took me a further few minutes to fully suss what screw it was and where it came from.

Same (have adjusted all 3 flippers a bit) although I still get quite a few mecha spinner-->mecha right arm-->left ramp wireform jumps, its kinda consistent so I'm just going to with it.

Man that Stern GZ topper is EMBARRASSING...I'm going to keep my cool "king of the monsters" topper on mine

I know we are mostly ragging on the stern topper but in the great tradition of announcing your first billion point game I thought I'd keep up my end.

Got the game 2 weeks ago and hit the bill today...still not sure if I hate the game or love it, I think it's both for me tbh. My few pals that bother to try and play pinball seem to be getting addicted to it though which is fun to observe.

Colin (UK pin modder known as collywobbles) did a youtube video showing him installing the stumbler mod on his own machine a while back. Just do a YT search for it, shouldn't be too hard to find.

Really enjoyed this interview with Keith, you asked him about everything that I wanted to know from the last few months with regards to GZ and stuff he has been involved with at Stern...nice 1 Joel.

I just installed my shaker a week ago, on a February 23 GZ prem build, didn't use the cap-mod and have had no problems (so far). What was your GZ build date, out of interest?
