Quoted from mtp78:

Just got my prem unboxed. Can't get into service menu to change to freeplay...I open coin door and buttons do nothing..haven't had a stern since metallica...any help how to get in the menu ? Thx

On my pro neither volume button worked at all, and at first I thought I got a bad service button assembly like the one on my JP. But since the menu and select buttons worked perfectly on this one, I did some troubleshooting and found the 2 volume wires weren't crimped properly on the connector to the cabinet node board. After fixing that the buttons work perfectly.

Try tracing the wires from the button assembly to the node board and put a little pressure on the connector while pressing the menu button to see if you can get it to work.

Not sure if something changed with the 1.01 update, but what is the expected visible behavior when the coin door is opened during Attract or while in gameplay? Seems like when I got the machine the other day and was going through settings, the playfield would go dark when I had the door open and in the service menu. If I wanted power, I had to pull the interlock switch out and it would power the playfield.
Currently I don't see anything happen at all when I open the coin door. Maybe I'm having the same Power Distribution Board issue that some others have mentioned earlier in the thread? Nothing appears to change whether I have the white interlock switch depressed, released or pulled out. All power, all the time.
I see Standard Adjustment #82 is "COIN DOOR OPEN NODEBUS POWER" - maybe related? But on my machine there doesn't appear to be any difference whether this setting is YES or NO.

When I open the coin door the playfield lights go out, but I don't get the 48v disabled message, and the insider connected scanner light stays on (when it decides to come on, sometimes it just blinks every few seconds for a while but usually comes on after a minute or two). I figured it was a software thing. I know I had to pull the interlock to test the LEDs because I had a 3-4 that either weren't on or were the wrong color due to a loose connector. I started at 1.00 and it was the same on that version. Haven't tried changing #82 to see if it works any differently.

Quoted from MarklarD:

Had an odd problem on my godzilla over the weekend. On maybe 2 out of 15 games or so, I had the entire machine look like it lost power as if it had been abruptly shut off. Maybe 3 or 4 seconds later everything powered back on as if nothing ever happened and let me pick up from where I left off.
The first time I think I had just hit the destruction jackpot. The second time was definitely as soon as I hit the scoop to start a kaiju battle.
Any ideas? I may have had a game randomly reset on me before, but havent experienced this behavior.

Saw something very similar on a Mando and it was a loose ground wire going to the CPU board.

Quoted from KneeKickLou:

So I unplugged my IC scanner and booted the game up and got a node 4 missing error. I know other games that didn’t come with IC don’t get this without a scanner on them is this specific to games that came factory with I ? Anyone ever removed IC from a Godzilla.
If I plug it back in the error goes away and boots no issues.

I just posted about this over in the IC thread. I get that node 4 missing error on boot, but it does go away.

Is the latest Godzilla code forcing a check for the IC node board? Mine would always blink for a few minutes and then usually come on. When I updated last night to 1.04 I had to unplug it to get the other node boards to update since it got stuck on finding it. Now if I startup with it plugged in it won't detect the other node boards, and if I leave it unplugged it complains that node board 4 is not found but plays fine.
