Had a request for new art to cover the ugly QR decal above the right speaker and also the seizure warning on the apron. The attached pictures are what we came up with. For above the speaker is a "Toho Scope" magnet. Toho Scope was the logo shown at the beginning of Godzilla movies in the early 60s. Of all the things we tried it looked by far the most appropriate. Same for the decal to cover the seizure warning because it added some much needed Kanji into the art (Go Go Godzilla).

They are available on my Pinside store.

Quoted from northerndude:

I've seen a couple custom powder coats, ripped through the image gallery for the thread. I've seen a bright/dark (make sense)? sparkle green and a kind of burnt orange/orangish red so far.. Anyone else seen some beauty colors done on armour yet?
I don't think this silver on the LE is particularly for me. just seems to be a bit "off" to match the rest. This may have been talked about at nauseum already? i've been in and out of the thread.
Thx to anyone.

I was discussing powder coating the other day with a friend who gets most of his games done. The basic concept that we agreed on is that you should always go for a couple shades lighter of the chosen color than you would at first think. The reason being that most game rooms are fairly dark even with the lights on. So basically any dark colors that look great when choosing on a computer screen or at the well lit powder coater's office will look almost black in a normal game room. The lighter colors will be visible and will show up much better.

Much as I love Titan rubber for its looks, I still always use real rubber on flippers and almost always on slingshots too.

Quoted from Good-Times:

Ditto, although I found this which could be good. Haven't tried it yet (my Xmas Ender 3 lasted all of 3 hours )
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3716733

I designed a drop in adapter to install the 5.25 inch speakers in Pro or Premium machines that are a better design than either of those (IMO). I need to make a Thingiverse account and upload the design, but I would be glad to send the STL file by email if someone wants to print them for themselves. These are sturdy and install on the existing Stern OEM metal plates and studs. This design provides solid mounting along with a seal between the speaker and plate to provide cleaner sound. The design above by mwong is not very sturdy looking and at least needs some foam or something to seal the ring under the speaker to create a cabinet effect for better sound. Also, it appears to remove the two screws on either side of the display that hold it tight in place and is simply held down by the plastic plates???

These are available on my pinside shop at a price that I basically make nothing on

Quoted from Yesh23:

Wife says size matters so I went with a slightly larger Mothra from Amazon. In person it looks awesome and doesn’t block the right scoop.

I wonder if they considered including Mothra wings that unfold sort of like the blinders in Tommy as part of the design for this game!

Quoted from Strummy:

So smaller, newer technology should be cheaper becase it is smaller?

Of course!! Bring back the brick and all the extra parts and weight, so I can get rid of this stupid Galaxy phone with its high speed internet and 4K video camera built in.

Personally I think the simple SPIKE 2 CPU with the built in LEDs is a great replacement for the nasty old florescent tube, and I prefer it to the backbox sets because of the ability to have them dim during game play. If I buy a game with one of those backbox kits in it, the previous owner gets to keep it.

Quoted from tedwasright:

Is that easy to do? I don't have mine yet.

Very easy. There are three settings in the menu. One for attract mode; leave it at 100% here. One for in-game; I like about 10-15%. One for service mode; 2% so you are not blinded when you take off the backglass.

Quoted from Tranquilize:

Every 90s machine I own has great lightshows in the backbox. Hasn't affected gameplay yet... Maybe I'm missing all this glare that everyone hates. A few darker games might get it bad I guess.

Flashers in a backbox produced a nice show without the constant brightness and glare of a bunch of modern LEDs.

Just posted my speaker adapters to thingiverse as promised. These are still available on my Pinside store for $25 a pair, but you are welcome to print them yourselves and save me the bother! The picture included is actually the older version. The stl posted is updated to fit a larger variety of SPIKE 1, SPIKE 2 and SAM games... Once again this is for DIY and recommended for SPIKE 2.

Wedges? Im having same issue. Hard hits off the right stand up target on building will result in the ball hitting the rails on its way back. Its annoying

Quoted from Hayfarmer:

Space coast pinball has some cool magnets and decals to cover up the stern junk. You should check out his shop

Haha yeah I finally got to install my own magnet on Godzilla.

Is there a toy/figure people are using to replace the Godzilla in the premium and LE? Seems like that could definitely be upgraded. I have a boatload of mods ready to install starting with a shaker, knocker and the Stern side rails and shooter.
