Mine is also flat against the backboard and matches the lower SS cutout. It was manufactured on Dec 1st.

Check / adjust the leaf switches.
Just added the Stern blades, look great and so much easier to put on after you pull the playfield. Only have to remove 3 connecters and a data cable.

I did it by myself, playfield is not that heavy. I grabbed about mid field and lifted it out.

Just had another awesome game! Tier 2 battles are so cool. Love the playfield design, so many great shots, ripping the spinners is so much fun. Also Just received and installed my Art of pinball saucer. Looks great and better than flat plastic.
