Quoted from beelzeboob:

I was assuming that Stern upped the number of LEs based on what they were hearing from distros about how many people were being put on a list. That's incredible if they're still able to sell them out that fast with that massive price hike.

From my Distro (one of Sterns largest) on his GZ announcement email..
“LE's sold out to our interest list in 90 Seconds.. There are no more Limited's available.”

Quoted from pinzrfun:

Can anyone recommend a good distributor? Or would it be better to just order/pick up right from Stern? What kind of prices are you guys getting on a Premium?
I've only bought one NIB pin from the guys in Colorado, don't remember the name, Game Room Guys or something like that...

JJ at Game Exchange in Colorado is top notch!

Quoted from Galvez1978:

What model must i order? LE or Premium? In Europe LE it's around 3000 usd more expensive than Premium, is a lot of money.

That’s a lot of cheddar!

Quoted from SimplePin:

Why would anyone pay more than MSRP after the fact? Be informed. Pay MRSP or less. Get free shipping and be done. Otherwise wait 6 to 18 months.

At this point if he wants an LE at MSRP its not happening, in 6 to 18 months maybe. If it was me I would sit tight and wait to see if a used one popped up for sale, only problem with that is shipping with STI is pushing $700 for a single game now.

Quoted from Hazoff:

Not for me. The extra spinner has way more appeal and longevity than toys and a sinking building. That usually gets old real fast, not too mention affecting the flow.

Yea once you’ve seen one sinking building, you’ve seen them all right...

Quoted from MUGEN_4_LIFE:

I'm absolutely IN LOVE WITH LE SIDEART! But only able to justify the prem which I have my order in on.... Can anyone here help me decide on my powdercoat for my premium? I don't want green or purple, but thought maybe a blue color like Godzillas spikes would be awesome but im not sure how well it would match with my premium art. I also wish I could find someone who has an LE that would be willing to order me replacement side art at my expense so I can replace my sideart with the foil backed LE art! I'd pay for the time and effort aside from shipped cost from stern essentially just need someones serial number and I can let stern know I bought my LE and managed to ruin the sideart while bringing my machine inside my gameroom!

There are a couple problems with your plan the biggest of which is that it is totally dishonest, the other is as you probably know Stern is very tight with their LE Replacement items. It is highly unlikely they would send you out a full replacement set of decals without substantial proof of damage to existing decals.

Quoted from Ebirah:

Prepaid in full on an LE through Flip N Out. I know Zach is crazy busy with coordinating backorder fulfillment on numerous titles, so I will patiently wait until Expo for an update. Looking forward to seeing fellow pinsiders and getting some time on a Pro and/or Premium in Chicago!

Quoted from ZMeny:

Never too busy for you Hoping they start shipping this week. Fingers crossed.

Good guy alert!

WOOT!!!!!
(Unboxing will take place after work. Will be a painful few hours.)
[quoted image]

Unacceptable! PM me your work phone number, I will call and let them know you have a bad stomach bug and can't get off the toilet so you can get to unboxing that beast!

#497 2 years ago
Quoted from MUGEN_4_LIFE:

I simply was trying to find out which color to powdercoat my premium, and express that THE SIDEART IS SO DAMN SEXY I'D CONSIDER BREAKING BAD TO GET IT LOL!.

Tough call on color choices for powder coating, many who have seen the game in person have said Pictures do not do the artwork justice. I think you would have to have the game sitting in front of you to make the decision and even then it’s gonna be a tough call.

That armor has exceeded my expectations! I was expecting a dull silver, that metal flake looks bad ass! How do the metallic decals look in person?

#532 2 years ago

My goodness look at all those ball paths thru the back of the playfield!
If I met Keith Elwin in person I’m not exactly sure what I would say, but I think it would be something like....

So just noticed this--looks like I got a prem speaker panel? Anyone else have a panel like this on their LE? How about your sub?[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

That definitely looks to be a premium panel

#704 2 years ago
Quoted from PinMonk:

Yeah it looks like you just got an entire Pro speaker panel with all the fixins.
Your cabinet speaker, however, is not like the Pro so it may be correct.

No reason to get the LE if your not gunna get all the Fixins!

#724 2 years ago
Quoted from Bellystyle:

How about the fact that your rails are black? That's not right.

Shit so it’s a pro back box with an LE back glass

This seems odd, the LE that was unboxed on the last page had silver underlining underneath the lettering of Godzilla on the back glass and this one does not see pictures below (area circled in red). The rendering photos of the original game do not show that underlining.

Quoted from Sethman:

That silver you refer to is actually mirroring. That’s the light reflection on the awesome amount of mirroring they put on the backglass.

Edit: I see what you are saying/showing in you example below..... That back glass is beautiful!!

#742 2 years ago
Quoted from joetechbob:

My armor is that silver metallic sparkle powder coat. You can see it better in my earlier unboxing pics.
Edit: Attached a zoomed in pic
[quoted image]

Goes to show how deceiving and sometimes uninspiring Sterns rendering pictures can be, the armor it’s beautiful! Always best to wait and see pictures of the actual game before passing judgment.

That's perfect! Thank you for posting the measurement... I was thinking about getting this figure to replace the stock one
https://www.sideshow.com/collectibles/godzilla-1989-bandai-908160
Measures 6.39" and looks like it will fit.

It’s 10” wide?

I’m not a great player because sometimes my left hand doesn’t do what I tell it to do, but this game is insane!

Quoted from PinMonk:

No, I know about the brain surgery stuff. I'm just wondering if it slowed down his responses or gave him Alien Hand syndrome where the hand gets a mind of its own.

OT: Yes exactly that, its call Alien hand syndrome mostly affects my hand but also my left arm sometimes, it is what happens when the left and right side of your brain stop communicating... you don’t recognize one side of your body.. horror movie shit! (and not good for your pinball game play)

#1147 2 years ago

I don’t want to get all hyped up and I know the code is early but after putting a bunch of games on the LE this may be the best game I’ve ever played, definitely the best Stern I have ever played! The layout is superb, this game really is an incredible shooter!

#1150 2 years ago
Quoted from PinMonk:

Yeah, I've seen news stories on it. I knew you could get it from accidents/brain injury, but I didn't know you could get it from brain surgery. What you mentioned just sounded like it, which is why I asked. One guy that was on 60 minutes had a hand that would grab the remote and change the channel all the time. It really very visibly frustrated him. I can't imagine dealing with it in a pinball scenario, but it sounds like you're managing ok. Is there a chance it will fade as your brain heals?

Sounds like this is the way it will be as the brain doesn’t heal from radiation treatment, could alway be worse I guess.

I want to mention to all of you LE guys, be very careful lifting your playfields. With the art blades on this game the playfield seem to fit very tight! You can easily damage your art blades when lifting your playfield. I highly recommend using some type of protection like what is pictured below to protect your blades.

#1177 2 years ago
Quoted from gambit3113:

I’ve been in and out of this game all day long and have been super anxious about messing up the art blades. This is exactly what I need. Where did you get those?

Got them at Pinball Life

Quoted from starbase:

Got the news my LE shipped. Pretty exciting to say the least. My first nib since Maiden and I thought I was done and on my way out of the hobby. My health returning made me really miss the hobby and even some of you.

Glad your getting your Health back and it’s good to see you more active on the forums here. Congrats on getting your LE you’re gonna love it!!

By the way LE #98 Is in the house safe and sound, it has played absolutely perfectly! The only thing I have done is hooked a Polk PSW 10 sub to it. I had to sell a machine to come up with the money to buy this, but it was worth every penny!

My game has played 100%, my building drops balls to left flipper no SDTM issues. The one problem I do have is that my shaker has an annoying squeak in it, do you guys normally go through your distributor on the issues like this or reach out to Stern directly?

#2504 2 years ago
Quoted from Rarehero:

Can those of you who’s games do this explain the laws of physics to me? Lol …the building literally aims the balls toward the drain. How are your games going to the left if the game is level and gravity is the same where you live?[quoted image]

Not sure but my game is definitely level, maybe on some games the building was somehow installed a few more degrees clockwise direction than other games so when the balls dump they head for the lower portion of the left flipper. I have never had an STDM building ball dump, as a matter a fact when I saw people putting the sticker diverter dots on there games I had to read back a ways in this thread to understand why they were doing it.

Quoted from Rarehero:

I tried these settings - Godzilla LE main speakers are default 4ohm…changing the setting to 8ohm makes a huge difference in clarity & quality.

Way better, thanks!

Hey guys in case anyone’s looking it looks like PBL has 7 sets of Stern GZ armor in stock right now...

https://www.pinballlife.com/godzilla-side-armor.html?Category_Code=

By the way did any one figure out if this is black or silver? I’m trying to understand how it can be compatible with all trim packages, I copied and pasted this off of the description from the site..

“Officially licensed side rail set for Stern's Godzilla pinball machines. Compatible with all trim levels; Pro, Premium & LE.”
