No sleep at all last night due to the excitement for a new pin. My Godzilla Le will be delivered in a couple of hours. Was supposed to be delivered earlier during the week but was delayed. I have been going to the local Bowling alley to play theirs and all I can say is this is a amazing pin. The shots are so smooth and the theme holy crap, been a big Godzilla fan since I was a child, now I’m 53 and still think he is bad ass lol. Stern has outdone themselves on this one. All around great job!!! Will post some pics once the king arrives.

Destruction jp is worth more now than your free jets shots. Make the upper spinner instead
True about the combos, but 10 jets gets an extra ball too. Also, Destruction JP being lit doesn't time out so I like doing both by finishing jets and then moving on to still get DJP.

Nope, didn't lock up. I did turn it off and back on, got the Node 8 msg. I talked to Stern this morning and they were great - we tried a couple of different fixes and they diagnosed it as a bad Node 8 board. Luckily I'm very close to Stern and went and picked up a new board. Distributor is going to install it for me tonight. It didn't look too tough to do, but he offered to do it and it's my first machine so I thought it was a good idea!

In the new code it does in some cases.. I haven't quite figured it out. Doesn't stick around (even through drain) like it used to. DJP is heavily reworked in 0.81 with multipliers moving, base value changes, etc.

Glad you got it worked out. I had a similar issue but my game would lock up. My issue was the cpu board. Still waiting for a replacement from Stern. I pulled one out of AIQ though so I could play Godzilla.

Played my first games on the Premium last night and set the GC on the 2nd game. Either I'm better than I thought, this machine is easier than I anticipated, or the scoring is currently out of whack! This was on the .80 code. It is currently updating to .81 and we'll see what happens tonight... So far it is super fun!!!

Did you read the actual post? I said it was empty but awesome through clever design.

He was talking about the Pro, so I left off the Prem/LE features.
The wait for my premium is killing me. Put in my order Sept. 22nd, hoping I got in early enough to get in on the first round of production. Don't think my heart can handle waiting til 2022. Its a dream theme game for me and the raving reviews for the gameplay really has me excited.

The default GCs are very very low compared to other Sterns. What was your score?

So, you destroyed the bridge - now you have to hit the lit ramp, and the ball will fall off the bridge & start Bridge Multiball.

I don't remember. I know that I got Godzilla Multiball and Mechazilla Multiball and pushed the Heat Ray a few times.
I read one comment about how this machine looked like a pop-up book with all the flat faces of the building, bridge, etc. I was thinking the same thing until I saw the machine in person. It looks a like better in-person and pictures/video do not do it justice.
Had a request for new art to cover the ugly QR decal above the right speaker and also the seizure warning on the apron. The attached pictures are what we came up with. For above the speaker is a "Toho Scope" magnet. Toho Scope was the logo shown at the beginning of Godzilla movies in the early 60s. Of all the things we tried it looked by far the most appropriate. Same for the decal to cover the seizure warning because it added some much needed Kanji into the art (Go Go Godzilla).

Kanji version (resized).pngJust got these from Space Coast Pinball. The toho is a magnet and the Go Go Godzilla is a decal. Much better looking than from the factory.

Finally got my LE in, probably last person in US after they delivered wrong pin by accident BUT WHO FUCKING CARES cause this game is amazing - just wow. Never have I looked like a goon in a candy shop while playing my first ball!
Other than everything awesome, one issue… how do I get Insider Connect to work? I’m on WIFI, tests good, but when I scan my QR code it just bloops but doesn’t show my IC name and doesn’t register. I can’t update either. It’s on 0.80 code but fairly sure I say an email a few days ago for 0.81?

Have you registered the machine under your insider account? That might be why it won't take the QR codes or get the new updates on WiFi. But I speak only from what I have seen. Should be getting mine next week so will know first hand then.

Update instructions - Games connected to Stern Insider Connected:
1 - Open the coin door and press the black/enter button to enter Test Mode.
2 - Using the 4 buttons on the coin door, navigate to the Stern Insider Connected Setup menu.
3 - Using the 4 buttons on the coin door, navigate down to the Software Update menu.
4 - If a software update is available, this page will give you the option to
download and install it manually. From this menu you can also select to install these
updates automatically.
so, which balls are you all replacing your factory balls with? Obviously, magnetics play a big part in this table.
For the SDTM issue that many of us have, I've been testing this mod for Pinsider, CFES, https://pinside.com/pinball/community/pinsiders/cfes
Look for the blue plastic piece on top of the clear plastic landing. I will be suggesting a very minor tweak to it but its working great in my game as you will see. He did an excellent job for a first attempt. I'm glad to answer questions but I'm just a tester so contact him if you have interest.

It’s larger, but fits fine but the tail must be bent to the right to fit. Easy with pliers as it has a wire core
First few pics show scale compared to original.
At first was going to paint the large (red) scales on his back blue but now plan to leave as is. In fact the color is a nice fit in the game
Other than bending the tail, just keep each toenail far enough away from the plastic mounting nuts that you can still tighten them down
Also note where I drilled holes in his feet. The right foot just hangs over the mounting plastic a bit. Important in order to keep his body away from the cab on the other side

Anyone get a leg with holes too small for the bolts? A friend just got their game and one leg had this issue. Weird one off.
Just wanted to share. My problem trying to update code on my machine. I found my problem. I could not update the code because. Right under register your machine on the stern website it kinda prompts you to unregistered your machine. That’s where my problem was. Just trying to help. Wow that is a big file.

I’ll say that setting up the machine for WiFi updates (and installs) isn’t super intuitive. I was able to plod my way through it, but it took some trial and error.

Pro. It somehow magically teleported across 3 states in an instant and arrived at my door today. I was too late to get a first run Premium, but will probably upgrade later. This game rocks!! Just happy to be in the club. Hope you get your game.

I have a friend who had one. One leg
So I got a pinwoofer kit for my Wonka today and installed it and OMG. I totally wouldn’t have been happy with just adding a sub. The callouts weren’t clear and it wasn’t just missing the low end. Now it’s amazing. To say it’s 10x better is an understatement.
That being said, I thusly told the owner he sucks because I had to order one for my Godzilla. It should get here Wednesday.

The decals on the cab are super cool. The playfield layout is incredible and the collapsing building, holy crap stern has knocked this out of the park.
