Quoted from TinyBlackDog:

If you are talking about Stern Insider Connected-enabled DLC, then no thanks. My $9k premium better be fully functional.

I certainly am!

#2652 2 years ago

I have seen several gameplays of limited godzila and I am seeing many boladoras in the figure with the magnet on the right side, when the ball is not caught by the magnet in the first 2 shots the ball goes through the air onto the playing field or ends up on top of a ramp, this is the only thing I don't like about this machine.

Quoted from Rarehero:
“I tried these settings - Godzilla LE main speakers are default 4ohm…changing the setting to 8ohm makes a huge difference in clarity & quality.”
Wow - big difference. This should be pinned for all owners to change. Assuming it’s just the LE speakers right?

FYI: My game shows 8 ohm as the default. Late build game and arrived with V.8.0

Quoted from ExSquid:

I wish I could but my Maiden Premium wiped me out for a while haha. oh well. Yeah Godzilla is a dream theme for me. I'm just wrestling and nervous about " selling" a machine on here. Not sure how well that would go. I have zero experience doing that.

I sold two machines on here and both were local sales and went very smooth. I’m actually good friends now with the guy I sold my first machine too. He has a ton of pins and so does his brother and his brother even lent me a TMNT premium which is in my home now. Don’t be scared, lots of good people out there.

Quoted from VolitionFlipper:

I'm waiting to hear back from my distributor, while I wait figured I would check here. Anyone getting their Premiums yet?

Mine shipped Friday. My buddy who lives a state north is getting his tomorrow so I’m assuming I hear from fedex tomorrow and get mine Wednesday.

Best of luck! My Distributor just got back to me, it appears all of the Godzilla (Premium) were bumped to Q1 2022. That's unfortunate since I ordered it the day it was announced. I'm not that bothered by it, except my The Mandalorian (Premium) was bumped from Q1 2022 to June 22. Must be supply chain issues? ‍♂️

If you don't mind, would you tell us who your dealer is? Curious, because my dealer is on the east coast. I'm still waiting for mine. Thanks!

EDIT: N/M I just saw your previous post letting us know it's from FlipNOut. Thanks!

Why that is awesome, especially when the ball goes on the wire form

Is stern still shipping with the loud fans especially in Godzilla?

BTW how is the shaker implementation in the game? Worth adding one?

Must have

#2665 2 years ago

Do you feel that way for every game or is the shaker really well implemented in Godzilla? I ordered one last night for my premium whenever it arrives.

I got the Flipper Fidelity big 10 also. Anyone have feelings on that one?

#2666 2 years ago

My “topper” arrived today, LE arriving Wednesday!

I feel that way for all modern sterns but this is a game about being a gigantic dinosaur destroying a city…

#2669 2 years ago
Quoted from Flipstream:

LEs are the only ones that ship with upgraded speakers, although I really wouldn't recommend doing this. In the car/home stereo world, it's a very bad idea to run 4 Ohm speakers on an 8 Ohm amplifier system. Doubling resistance in a circuit is like turning on a garden hose full blast and covering up half the hose opening with your thumb.
Translated to the speakers, low impedance speakers on high impedance amps will definitely sound louder at lower volumes, although it creates audio distortion that gets worse as the volume goes up. The distortion "muddyness" is the amp moving the speaker cone way harder than it was designed to do at a given volume, and the byproduct of a larger crossover frequency pushed to the speaker. The additional current draw also generates way more heat that can damage the speaker or the amp transistors. However, amp damage might not be as large of a factor if SPIKE2 boards can still handle 4 Ohm current requirements on the 8 Ohm setting, although it's best for the equipment to keep impedance values aligned.
The advantage of 4 Ohm systems is that they don't need as much power to move speaker cones, meaning that they are more sensitive to subtle sounds than 8 Ohm speakers. I would recommend leaving the speaker settings at 4 Ohms, increasing the low to mid EQ dBs, and lowering the headboard speaker crossover frequency instead. Those changes should get the same tonal results without the potential damage risk of the impedance setting mismatch. Just remember the headboard speakers are likely tweeters, not woofers/subs, so there is a limit to what frequencies are within spec.

This is really good advice. The first thing I did after I adjusted was check the speakers and boom.....indeed 4 ohm. So I'm going to turn it back to 4 ohm. Now if someone can adjust the settings based on the above and send that would be great. I get lost when making adjustments and usually when I'm done it sounds worse then stock. I have a terrible ear for this stuff.

Quoted from DeathHimself:

If there is no shaker, I won't play the game. Balls may be less important.

Edit: I'm obviously joking here....

I mostly do feel that way about every game but when you feel and hear the Godzilla stomp.....stomp......stomp...... Its a done deal and worth the $.

Awesome Guys thanks, I did order one just waiting on it's arrival and figured I'd ask in the meantime.

6" Classic Godzilla fits nicely into the game even with his full tail, just tuck it up behind the left LED PCB board. It really ties in nicely with the classic videos and you can put the green gecko in coinbox for safekeeping

I got my Godzilla Premium tonight and HOLY MOLY THIS GAME IS AMAZING!!!! Zero question in the best machine in my collection.

#2679 2 years ago

Wow wow wow! Is all I can say after unboxing today. Connecting the actual Game to my stern insider account was probably the only confusing part of the entire set up. I’ve had zero issues out of the box and the balls come down to the left and right flipper. I’m almost dead on level. Maybe a hair bias to the left. This game really is that good believe the hype. The shots are so varied and butter smooth. Early code is impressive as well. My only complaint is my ball gets stuck on soft plunges in between the mechagodzilla turn table and the back of the scoop. Anyone having this happen? Thank you Stern and team for an amazing title delivered in record time without issue!!!!

Same here. Had to adjust tilt Bob to be able to shake loose. Still tilt on occasion. I'm at 6.7°, wonder if 7° will stop problem?

I’m really enjoying it - but at this point I think I like my JP Prem more, as far as Elwin games go at least. There’s just a magic to the rhythm and flow of that game, and the shots feel more buttery & satisfying to me.

#2683 2 years ago
Quoted from Hayfarmer:

Legs on is absolutely the worst way to ship.

I've shipped a TON of pins (both buying and selling) using legs-on white glove service and had zero issues. However, in olden times when I was crating and palleting pins to ship some DID get damaged (and it was a LOT more work). As long as you're watching to make sure they use enough packing blankets and install all 4 leg boards down to the levelers, you'll probably be fine. I also have cheap $5 harbor freight moving blankets on hand in case they don't come with enough of them for a pin I'm shipping. Even if I have to kick in 4 to get it padded to my satisfaction, it's $20 well spent. I've only had to kick in one or two twice, ever. They're usually very well prepared.

If someone hadn't sold me a Hobbit around release with the "legs on" service, I'd probably still be crating and palleting. But now for long distance stuff it's legs on white glove for everything, and for stuff within CA, I use Chris at Sly Fox shipping - he's fantastic.

My Godzilla LE had the same issue where the ball would get stuck behind the Mecagodzilla turntable. I just raised the turntable so it was flush with the playfield (protector that I installed which was a little higher). Fixed it.

It’s 1:144 the one you see, the two I’m putting in the back near Godzilla will be 1:200 so there will be depth perception

Updated:

Ok here it is with the 1:200 installed in the back, still working some stuff out but you’ll have a visual now. Also might need to paint that dam silver wire lol.

I agree about JP premium it’s the best Elwin pin in my estimation. I think it’s because JP doesn’t have a bad shot or area of the PF. To me Godzilla mini jump ramp and scoop while ok aren’t my favorite. I wish the scoop was more difficult to hit such as the far right scoop on SW or the mission start on ST (under the flipper). It’s fine but the ball can fall into the scoop on accident, heck even Tron or Metallica scoop are more fun imo.

Any tips for hitting the Godzilla left ramp to start Kaiju Battle? It's such an important shot, but I can only hit it with a lot of momentum.

They are night and day games. JP is more precision and tactical, Godzilla is more destruction.

I would argue that the mechagodzilla shot is a more interesting and satisfying version of the raptor pit. As for the scoop, I appreciate that it is somewhat easy to hit and protected, the battle modes are pretty hard/long so having to struggle through a rejecty scoop would be frustrating.

It’s a USB port Wi-Fi connector below your game SD card, really tiny. Or at least that’s what it is on my machine.

#2700 2 years ago

Looks like it’s a Canakit Raspberry PI Wi-Fi adapter. $20 each. I’m sure that it costs quite a bit less per machine. The one in the picture listed in the previous post must be a very early build.
