I dunno, for $1000 I'd need some more details about this exclusive KotM mode. The completist in me wants to pull the trigger, but the pragmatist in me opines that I haven't even been able to get to Planet X, and it's usually even odds as to whether I'm able to qualify Terror of Mechagodzilla or Monster Zero on any given game.
This is what they came up with for what will go down as one of the greatest Stern pins ever made? That's crazy. My wallet is happy though, no need to get this eyesore.
Did they just use the surplus of dumb Godzilla figurines from the pin and slop together a topper? Wow, what a pathetic attempt to take our money!! Oh......let's add in one mode to justify the stupid cost.

Makes the Stranger Things topper look impressive compared to this POS topper. An 8 year old could design a better topper with paper and crayons. Tilt Studios sales just went through the roof now.

If there’s a game that doesn’t need more code it’s GZ, I don’t think added code is a big draw for this topper
I was impressed with the quality of this Vinyl bank https://www.amazon.com/DIAMOND-SELECT-TOYS-Godzilla-Classic/dp/B00HSZMC7E/ref=sr_1_13 and used it to make some mods when I had my Godzilla. This accompanied by some paint to match the one you have in the machine and some Comet LED lights would make a really nice topper for under $100... You could go nuts with some buildings behind it.

Nope. You can still buy Stranger Things topper and LED Zeppelin topper for retail. My local dealer has like 17 Stranger Things toppers in stock still.
For clarification- If this topper was $379, most people would be on board. $1000 is a unapologetic milking of the customer base, hence the negative reaction.
How long has it been since Zilla made it's debut. I can't believe this thing made it thru the approval process. Guessing some cost had to becut to keep pinball moving down the line. 1000 bucks you got be kidding me. I could hire some dude at local hobby shop to build me a helluva topper for 1k that would have the pinball community green with envy. Stern really thinks highly of its customer base as of late wonder whats coming next?

I usually don't say negative things... but really guys.. WTF. I used to do internet services and me and the head of art would joke on April fools day that I'd do art and the art guy would do server stuff. And for that day our website would be stick figure drawings, but it would be OK because the server was down all day... I feel like Stern actually went ahead with this April fools joke and someone forgot to tell sales it was a joke.
Doubling down on the bad figure really a disappointment. Atomic Godzilla mod at 1/2 the price adds much more to the game. Guess you could replace the figure on the topper with Atomic if you had the $ and end up with something better.
Terrible topper. I'll save the money for the next game since I'm not that into toppers anyways. Would have considered it for Godzilla, but seriously Stern? That Godzilla figure is absolutely atrocious and pure garbage. Wtf.

This is less than 100 dollars in materials and perhaps a bunch of back and forth internal meetings gone wrong.
What a major disappointment! That topper needs plenty of mods to make it better, interactive Godzilla, 3D tanks and some moving parts. I guarantee some mod companies will be all over this, but it is already $1,000!
