Quoted from blueberryjohnson:First-time pin owner who is trying to get his game set up securely without going crazy. It was recommended to me to replace the factory stern rubbers.
If this is your first pin and you just got it…I would not recommend changing all the rubbers. You don’t need to be taking apart plastics if you’ve never owned a pin before. Let it settle in and then change as necessary.
As was mentioned, slingshots and flipper rubbers are a good, easy tweak.
Quoted from VALIS666:What was the reason someone recommended you swap every rubber out?
Could be better performance from titans, less black dust, and/or for a better look.
Quoted from EricHadley:Tracking shows my Premium in Denver Monday!
Nice...
Sadly, no sign of my LE. *Siiiigh*

Quoted from PinMonk:Yes, it lights up. You have to press and hold the button to charge the ray (while not losing the ball(s) in play - sometimes it's a feat) when you release it launches.
Sorry I'm a little slow on this death ray.....what exactly launches? I feel like I'm missing something on this.
Mine GZ should arrive in a couple weeks. I heard something about settings options for the soundtrack in the game? Can someone confirm and explain what these settings change?
Quoted from Damonator:Is this the first game where they put the LE game number on the service menu? I haven’t noticed this on other games.
How do I change this message so I can add the game # to my other LEs? I don’t see it in the menu anywhere.

AIQ and the next ones were already like that.
Quoted from Pdxmonkey:For next time you should have refused delivery then the game goes back to Stern they fix it and send you a like brand new game.
Signing for it changes what can happen now. Your best bet is to have your distributor talk with the shipper.
Edit the one time I had shipping damage, I learned this the hard way. Never sign for a damaged game.
I am still waiting for mine to arrive but would you recommend refusing delivery if it came from the distributor vs directly from stern?
Quoted from marioparty34:I am still waiting for mine to arrive but would you recommend refusing delivery if it came from the distributor vs directly from stern?
Yes if showing damage. Immediately call your distributor, they might have you open the game to inspect before signing. Once you sign that paper it lets the shipping company of the hook. Sometimes there’s recourse sometimes not.

My shipping company FedEx didn't have me sign anything. I was there and the box was unmarked so I said it looks good, but it was odd that he didn't have me sign anything.

That means it was never delivered and you should be getting another one.

Lol, Failure on FedEx. Should have signed paper copy and received 2 copies. Otherwise, stolen or lost. Unless they are doing digital, but I doubt it. I have always signed paper for FedEx Freight.

My past couple machines that FedEx delivered required no signature, most likely due to COVID. He just handed me a copy of the paperwork.
When IQ was delivered the box had a hole in it (luckily I have a great FedEx driver) so we opened it up in the driveway before I accepted it. He noted on the bill of lading the box had a puncture hole just in case there was an issue once the game was up and running.
Quoted from RikeIsland:This game looks amazing and I can’t wait to get one. I am hoping for a phat Christmas bonus. Lol.
What if you get the “ Jelly of the Month Club” as a bonus instead?
Quoted from rai:My shipping company FedEx didn't have me sign anything. I was there and the box was unmarked so I said it looks good, but it was odd that he didn't have me sign anything.
The one time I had a game delivered by fedex they left it on my driveway without me even being there…
Quoted from rai:Did you send it back? No. It is not much damage. If I sent back I would never see it again.
I would have refused shipment tho.

Nothing physically launches. If you hold the action button down long enough when it's lit, it will clear all the lit shots on the playfield.

Go to settings, then adjustments, then game. These are the options, I prefer rock .

Post Sleeves - Stern Slim Tapered" or "Post Sleeves - 1/2 Inch (Stern / DE)" which are ones in other kits (and have 'Stern' in their names)?
Post sleeves - 1/2 inch: are for the older DE games as noted in the parentheses.
Posts sleeves - Stern slim tapered: never used these but post sleeves get chewed up like crazy from bricked shots, I would not recommend these unless you want to change sleeves every 50 games.
Post sleeves standard: these are what I use on all of my machines. They are great and last quite a long time and won’t leave black poop all over your machine.
Not sure why people are saying not to change out the rubbers on your machine. It’s one of the first things I do and really isn’t that hard to do. Just take lots of pictures and do one section at a time. It’s also a good time to clean your machine with Novus too. Might as well install cliffys which I highly recommend to protect your Playfield while you have the game torn down.
Quoted from insight75:Sorry I'm a little slow on this death ray.....what exactly launches? I feel like I'm missing something on this.
I had to look it up too....
Heat Ray:
• Qualify by spinning the center spinner enough times. (60 for the first, 120 for the second, etc.)
• Hold the action button to “charge” the Heat Ray, to collect all lit shots (ie. Smart Missile). As soon as the meter on the display reaches 100%, it’s safe to release the button.
o The more times you use the Heat Ray, the longer you will need to hold the action button to use it.
o After using the Heat Ray, the next spinner shot will score Super Spinner points for 1 shot only. (Spinner hits worth 1 million + 100,000 points per spin)
Quoted from Hayfarmer:Go to settings, then adjustments, then game. These are the options, I prefer rock .
Awesome, thanks! Does this affect all of the music in the game, or just certain tracks?

Anyone get this ball trap yet? Ball popped up and got stuck behind the back right side of the building - the building went down, and the ball went under the plastics by the switch. I fished it out with a magnet tool, we’ll see if this is something that happens often not

I had a few stuck balls on the back of the Mechagodzilla ramp as well. I put a time piece of thick stick on felt there and no issue since.

I saw those at Expo last week - their site says "coming soon" -
Did they come w the cityscape too?

The city is in the acrylics section, as an add on.
Did a little bulletproofing today. I’m really happy with the steps Stern has taken over the last several games to change the design of the ball guides to minimize the chance of the ends scraping the playfield. In addition to putting Mylar in the shooter lane where the ball kicks out, I only found two spots on GZ that I thought might be a good places to protect. One is where the ends of two guides meet at the post by Ebirah. The other is the ends of the guides on either side of the magnet.
All the other spots where ends of the guides looked like they could take frequent hard hits seemed like they were nicely off the playfield. Nice that they put a protector at the scoop hole too.

Borrowed an idea someone had come up with for Jurassic Park to make the lights on the signs pop to be more noticeable. Put cabinet dots over the lights.
Looks a lot better with the dots on both ramp signs & scoop sign compared to the lock lights where I don’t have them on.

THank you!
Quoted from rai:I don’t understand the city selection, or what to do with the city’s. Is that not in the code yet?
It seems to be the same as the Kaiju fight at the moment.
Quoted from rai:I don’t understand the city selection, or what to do with the city’s. Is that not in the code yet?
Keith posted in the tiltforums rulesheet comments that the intended cities and kaiju functionality is incomplete right now, though also talks about what his intention is.
