Hey there! Has anyone successful added the premium Mechagodzilla figure to their pro? Looking like it may be drop in with the riveted tilt assembly as well attaching to the plastic, but cannot tell for sure.

What's the deal with that callout? Cracks me up every time. Is it just a random callout or something to do with Godzilla?
Hi guys. New member to the club. Got my premium nib yesterday. Set it up- played one game then did updates. After updates found out I got a bad opto. Ironically it worked on 1st game as multiball worked but not after update.
Cant say anything else until issue is fixed. Just happy to join the club. Sold off a few games to join. So since I cant play my game I'll just read about it lol.
I want to adjust my slingshots to be a bit more sensitive. Too many times I have the ball hit the rubber at an angle and they don't fire, and it makes it unpredictable and I just don't like it.
The ones on my JP are super sensitive and I like how they fire basically every time it hits the rubbers.
I compared the two slingshots and the gap is noticeably larger on GZ than JP.
I have one of those leaf switch adjustment tools however I have never used it.
Do I have to take the plastic off of the slingshot and adjust from the top? Or is it recommended to do it from below? Or is there no "better" way to do it?
Since I've never done it before I just want to be sure I do it right to close the gaps a bit.
So happy to have joined the club with a modded up Pro. Guessing the shaker is a must for this game? Can I pull the one in my B66 for it? Shaker doesn’t do much on that one…

Easy adjustment. Check this video:

The update almost certainly has nothing to do with your building opto issue.
I’ve had trouble with that opto and others have, too. If that opto worked once, it will probably work again.

If you have the tool that is double ended, you shouldn't have to remove anything at all. Adjust from the top of playfield. Easy 5 minute job. Make them as sensitive as you like, or not.

Yep, I went the Myth Pinball route and have no complaints. There was a bit of a wait, but it was reasonable and communicated via email. The set up instructions were straightforward to a relative novice (me). They came preprogrammed in the orange flame setting, which is all I was aiming for anyway. And they've been well received by visitors.
Here's a shot I found with them installed, which doesn't do them justice.

I've got them and they are awesome. Here with acrylic city scape from Doug as they didn't have them when I ordered. Delivery was under two weeks when I ordered back in July.

I just picked up a premium secondhand over the weekend and it has those exact lights on it. I normally hate speaker lights. Can't stand them. But the flame effect with the city scape looks amazing!! Well done!

Has anyone seen both the Myth and Cointaker versions to compare? I'm considering getting a set at some point but didn't know if either one was superior to the other. I'd be getting the cityscape option either way.
Thanks!

Oh man I’ve been waiting for these!! Looks awesome.
I can't agree more on the shaker. it is really well implemented on GZ. I have to cut it back to minimal use at times due to being on a second floor and it still makes the game feel great!

Quoted from kool1:The #1 pin keeps getting better
Elwin is the king no doubt. He completed and delivered a perfect game in every machine he and his team made. Can't say the same about any of the other designers and coders. It is the full package, music, callouts, animations. Everything is on point. Definitely the best of the best in modern pinball and nobody comes close.
I'm glad they're adding some extra gameplay modes, that's really the one area that Godzilla currently falls short.
Quoted from Cire113:I’ve had my Godzilla a month I love it ; but how can a game released so soon be the top game of all time that is super inflated it seems? ;
Think of any “other” field where the top of anything of “all time” is brand new lol (could be bad analogy);
I mean come on people pinball has been around a while;
also there aren’t really that many ranks on the database to my surprise only 151k ratings total for all games on all of pinside that’s not a lot worldwide at all ;
I enjoy Mando and AIQ just as much or more then Godzilla; I actually like Mando better than GZ currently and AIQ way way better haven’t touched my GZ since I got AIQ
I think Elwin is a great addition to stern but it appears his Ego needs a bit of a check(from how he holds himself) cause I’m not a fan of his attitude from the interviews I’ve heard seems like he got really lucky with Godzilla in my opinion;
but I feels over time the game will settle to its rightful place. But he seems a wee bit pompous from what I’ve heard of him.
But to say a game this this new is #1 cause of 850 or 900 ratings seems ??? to me.
I’m not trying to start an argument with anyone so don’t bother I’ll ignore you;
I’m just stating my personal opinion and just looking anyone agrees or has any feedback on this ..
just looking for a nice discussion about this.

It doesn’t help that all the people that interview are fan boys that don’t help his ego in the right way…. Just treat the guy like a normal guy .

I don't share your opinion. GZ is indeed a very unique game, especially when it comes to the geometry of the shots, the implementation of mechs and magnets and the code package including call outs and music. Best game ever? I'm not sure but I have a hard time thinking of anything better at the moment. Haven't experienced KE as having a bad attitude at all. If you know a bit about designing pinball machines you will know that GZ is the result of a tremendous amount of hard work, not luck. The hype is very well deserved.

It's absolutely fine to like any game more than another but to insert a judgement about the designer into that seems at best a bit misguided and at worst, well, pretty jerky. I've listened to many interviews of him, and I've never had any thought that he comes across as having a big ego. My impression has been quite the opposite. I've always thought he comes across as a down to earth guy who really likes pinball...
Quoted from Cire113:I believe he just got real lucky with the initial success of Godzilla ;
...And, um, luck has nothing to do with it. He's at minimum one of the best pinball players ever (most think he's THE best) and he's been playing for a very long time. So maybe it's worth it for you to consider the possibility that he does know more than most people about the game of pinball and how to design a machine that players really like. It's a thing called talent. He's also designed not just Godzilla, but three other really, really good games (and maybe 4 with the 60th Bond TBD) and his first one was started as a home brew so, again, it's not luck.
Why do people (including me), think Godzilla is such a great game?
1) Approachable yet challenging layout with interesting shots and mechs.
2) A deep and wide rule set that makes you use all the shots in the layout, and which is very well balanced in scoring so the game can be attacked from many different ways without having much of an "everyone just does this when they play it" strategy.
3) Fun and creative wizard modes.
4) A video, audio, and callout package that puts it all together in a very entertaining way.
In other words, the game is really good in all the key elements of what makes a modern pinball machine fun.

I totally agree with you about the misguided judgement that was uncalled for ; that’s why I edited my post and just want to leave it alone I was kinda in an angry mood so it might have something to do with that ; I’m not not perfect; but I agree I need more education it seems on Elwin and listen to more of his interviews
I just bought AIQ and like it way more then GZ; haven’t played my GZ in a week since getting AIQ heh

As far as a natural looking flame pattern goes, I think mine look the best ($120), but in any case, you shouldn't get the Cointaker kit. Just look at the video of their kit and then videos of my flaming kit or Myth's kit. It's obvious that the Cointaker "Destruction" kit isn't even comparable. The always growing price of the Cointaker kit is also pretty amazing. Originally $114.95, then $149.95 and now I am just seeing, a whopping $169.95! (and that is just for their light kit).
I will be posting a comparison video of my Flamin' Frames light kit vs the Cointaker Destruction light kit when I can, but that's probably a month or more away. As I mentioned, there are already videos out there to see, and the difference is obvious.

I installed comet spotlights to make Godzilla brighter one of the lights came defective ;
The other light works but I’m honestly just thinking of going for pin stadiums ; these comet spot lights were very finicky to me and not solid;
Example the defective light had a loose defective housing there is no way it would work; second light kept falling out of socket had to keep it in with double sided tape
Does anyone recommend any model is the $650 pin stadium worth it that’s super pricey I wonder which game needs light more GZ or AIQ seems GZ

The basic pinstadiums at $299 will add all the lighting you need and have the UV flash. People either love or hate Pinstadiums. That's another pandoras box you've just inadvertently opened. Lol. I personally need more lighting for my 51 year old eyes. So, I'm in the yes column for pinstadiums. They do make raising your playfield more of a hassle though.

I disagree, but Keith's games are fun to play no doubt; Maiden is prob his best layout, GZ is solid, definitely more refined design that JP, I am finding myself enjoying it more.

I just wanted to clarify something. Turns out the Flame effects kit that came on my Godzilla premium is made by Doug at speakerlightkits.com. I had no idea that more than 1 version existed. I'm quite pleased with the flame effect on them, it looks awesome and I think anyone would agree. As to how it compares with the others? I haven't seen others to know. Sorry for the confusion.

Got my high score on Mechagodzilla and Terror of Mechagodzilla in the same game today! Beat my previous mode high's by just a little, but unfortunately the game went south after that and I ended up right at 4B and didn't even make it to second city Tier 2 Kaiju!

Hey all, hoping someone has experienced this and can advise...
Have had my Godzilla premium for about 3 weeks, right around 100 plays. It's been great, but tonight an issue popped up - its a bit intermittent, and odd - occasionally when locking balls in the building for Godzilla Multiball, it will not register the 3rd ball?? then it starts looking for balls and I have to open it up & take a ball off the roof and off we go, the next ball in typically will trigger MB. Thought it was just a fluke, but its done this about 5 or 6 times. Its always the 3rd ball?? has 100% recognized the 1st and 2nd ball. Help please, this seems odd as a switch or sensor failure would not just fail on the 3rd ball? And then it will work fine for a few multi balls. Strange
thanks!
Mike
