I'd like to tweak the flipper power settings on my Pro, but I can't find which menu they're under. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Anybody else get their replacement plastic from stern? How’s it working? Looks like it’s redesigned with a different cut in the end. I’m about to put mine in. May have been discussed already. It’s been a couple months since I got on. I thought they were sending some sort of kit out, but hey if this works I’m good with it. I added a black and white photo with a yellow curved line to show where the new plastic piece will end in comparison to the old plastic( pic shows new plastic just resting above old plastic to show placement and comparison) again if this fix works I’m good!

Here is how I mounted the led’s directly on the Mezel scoop sign. I just removed the original plastic and used 3M two-sided tape to secure them to the new sign. I screwed a couple small flat brackets I made onto the existing L brackets and used 3M tape on the back and the bottom of the sign to hold it securely. Since the led’s are set directly into the inserts they are a lot brighter then with the original plastic underneath. Also you can always reattach your old sign if you want. 1A02C8FD-3FE0-4475-B542-35ABC37F824F (resized).jpeg1A02C8FD-3FE0-4475-B542-35ABC37F824F (resized).jpegF4D41007-9CB0-4CC5-B085-6C714DC5A2A2.jpegF4D41007-9CB0-4CC5-B085-6C714DC5A2A2.jpeg8A3EEB4D-90BE-4B95-8B6A-8BB714631053.gif8A3EEB4D-90BE-4B95-8B6A-8BB714631053.gif

These are breaking at those tips as well. Per others in this thread.

Quoted from Nokoro:

Unfortunately, my bridge is still binding up at times. I took a long look at it, and it does seem like the two pieces are coming together and somehow locking. When that happens, I can’t even move the coil plunger by hand. I have to physically wiggle and pull at the bridge until it unbinds. Not sure how to fix this as I can’t see anything obvious to adjust or what exactly is locking up. I may have to contact Stern to see if they’ve encountered this before.

I figured out the issue here. I had put a hexagonal nut in the coil sleeve to limit movement of the bridge coil plunger. At times, the nut stood up on end preventing the plunger from moving at all. It may have gotten magnetized and was being pulled up with the plunger instead of lying on the top of the coil stop. Anyway, replaced it with two small washers and all is working well again (for now at least).

Quoted from chuckwurt:

Correct. You still need to put a washer or two in the coil sleeve to be safe.

Got the Lame kit today, not installing it. Thank goodness already had an original replacement and about to shorten the coil travel to prevent breakage.

Quoted from PinMonk:

The Hippocratic Oath applies to mod makers, too, "first do no harm."
The problem is drilling holes in a screen printed plastic is a one-way street and that plastic is only available in a full set of plastics that may or may not be available. There has to be another way. I have a GZ Prem coming in tomorrow. I'll have a look at it.

I think the stock sign looks good. For me goes better with the playfield art.

What did you do about the Mecha spotlight that is riveted to the original plastic?

I have a new build with the new plastic.

Had to adjust the bridge plastics out of the box from binding.

As for doingt he job on cracking, i could tell even before turning the game on, it would still make contact with the very edge so to be safe I dropped a washer in the coil stop and limits the travel of the bridge perfectly, not one issue since doing it and I've had the playfield up and down dialing it in since I got the machine and the washer never posed an issue

Thats the Pro which doesnt have the figure. Believe those dont have the spotlight rivets

This is why I bought the metal mod bridge replacement thingy about 3 months ago. I still haven't received anything from Stern and figured it would just be another chunk of plastic that would break again. The metal mod is holding up great.

I installed the other 3 signs like this but didn’t have the patience to deal with the rivets on the scoop sign.

Quick question: Anyone having the issue with the ball not staying in the scoop? I find it extremely difficult to hit the scoop shot to begin with. It is very frustrating to hit it only for it to pop back out. The plunger thinks it's in there and tries to shoot the ball out. Tips for keeping it in the scoop when I finally hit the shot?

Yup. Several times a game mine is rejecting. Same deal with the plunger or what have you shooting the ball out that isn't there. One game, I had it reject on three consecutive made shots (and drained the fourth attempt).

Someone else suggested this mod but it looks pretty good and is cheap. You get a 3 pack cheaply from Amazon. The scale looks to be about 1:190 so you might want something bigger if you want it more in your face. I kind of like it being small and subtle.

Zoinks! I've seen some sellers do that if they don't actually ship to a given area. Could also be a mistake... or not!

#10927 1 year ago

I tried to purchase but it says 5 available, 7 sold.
No purchase available, all I can do is "watch"
I checked the other planes from the same seller and got the same results.
No Buy Now or Bid Now button.

#10928 1 year ago

Just successfully ordered 2 from eBay.ca, $4.95 USD shipping to Canada. The ones I found were a single, not a 3-pack.

What's the preferred method of rigging these up? Also, looks to be perfectly sized in my eyes next to the saucer...Great find!!!!

Edit: Just to add the size looks perfect compared to the saucer

I used the black plane mount provided ( minus the flat base). Dremeled a small oblong hole, super glued.

I was just looking again at a playfield pic and was thinking, Monster Zero and King of the Monsters are not in the game yet correct? So there are another 2 wizard modes at least to be added to the game?

Yes that's correct. They also haven't added an alternate challenge mode shortcut either, such the ones on JP, ST & GB. I love the Escape Nublar Challenge on JP, especially for the fact that it has it's own leaderboards. It's like it's own game-within-a-game, and a nice alternate mode when playing with friends.

Looking forward to what they come up with for GZ

I bent a loop, then put a washer over it on a post. Bend before you glue it in

Got my premium all powder coated. Had a hell of a time deciding on a color. There are so many that would work on this game since the machine is so colorful. Finally decided on green. Picked prismatic illusion money. I’m happy with the results. As always, pictures don’t do it justice.

Shout to to HemiOrange09 for the powder work. His work is outstanding!

Did the shaker get nerfed in a recent update? My LE used to rattle the glass. My premium with the pinball life shaker is so subtle, I forget it’s there sometimes. But it’s been a few code updates since I had my LE. I have pinball life shakers installed in a few other machines and have no issues.

The shaker is set to max in the settings.

Not a mistake. Many people don’t pay attention that close and see the buy it now price and don’t notice the shipping cost and hit buy it now. If the seller finds one person he makes bank.

My Pinball Life shaker still hits as hard in Godzilla on latest code as the ones in my other Sterns. It moves the balls around as the building drops at the start of Godzilla Multiball.

This is what I've started doing. Buy or find a short roll of Romex (electrical wire) and cut the sheath open - instant piano wire! Except it's much easier to bend but will still hold strong. Needle nose pliers and one loop later, and you're in business.
