Never had that issue. My game is steep but not super steep. And the couple times it has stopped there, a tiny nudge frees it.
Definitely get with Doug and see on the lights if you haven’t heard anything in months.

Quoted from chuckwurt:Because it works?
From what I remember, those posts are threaded?
I'm sure it'll work, but don't you risk damaging or chipping the playfield if you pound it up from the bottom?
Quoted from ChipScott:I know exactly the spot yet you're talking about, totally frustrating and I think it's a super common phenomena across all games and models... if the ball is not fast enough, the ball stops on that guide rail in the back and because it sits/rests so solidly back there on that metal guide, you really have to shake the machine to dislodge it and it's going to end up in a tilt.
I was thinking about some durable fixes for this a few weeks ago, but got distracted before I could try anything...I should probably revisit that issue. I too would love to hear if anyone has identified a durable fix for that problem.
On another note, it's now been a fairly long time waiting on my flaming speaker panels and the city cut out. I know that the maker of this item requested that we not reach out to check where we are in the queue, but it's now been several months (maybe more). Have others had to wait this long? Do you think I should try and reach out to him or should I continue to keep the faith that they will eventually arrive? Thanks
The last page or two of this thread has had multiple people mentioning they are still waiting. It does take a while to assemble. Several people mentioned ordering in January - I don't know exactly what board he used for the light control, but he may be having supply issues, I dunno.
doug's latest update, from the mod thread:

Quoted from ZAuxier:From what I remember, those posts are threaded?

The posts are threaded because of the nut on the bottom. They are not threaded into the wood. Either way works.
Sorry if this has been mentioned already but I haven't been on pinside much lately. Any word on when we can expect to see a topper from stern? Ty
Quoted from 0geist0:What's everyones opinion on a shaker on the Pro, yes or no?
Hell yes.
Has anyone figured out a way to get a better wi-fi connection on these things, and no, running Ethernet to my games isn't a solution. I finally resorted to using a USB stick for update yesterday after finding that my machine had failed to completely download and install the damn thing over the last several weeks. I've mostly given up on connecting my account because frankly the fucking thing will connect to my wifi, and then refuse to transmit or receive anything. I literally resorted yesterday to setting up my phone as a mobile hotspot and having the game connect to that, and even then, it still barely worked with my phone sitting on the glass.
These dongles are bloody terrible....
*edit* Nothing else in the house has this problem, so it's not a coverage issue.

I haven’t had any problems with them on on 5 machines so far (both installed at factory and add-on kits). You can only use 2.4Ghz I think. Also, I’ve always sat on the download screen and waited ( usually about 30min), I’ve never seen them download automatically or in the background while playing etc.

Yeah, mine downloaded the latest code update in around 20 minutes. I have a WIFI booster in the next bedroom over and haven't had any connectivity issues with my 3 Sterns, only GZ factory installed Insider Connected the other 2, I added.

Yeah, the whole limiting to 2.4 GHZ thing is really stupid for anything on modern wireless. You can literally get a 5ghz capable USB dongle for all of 10 bucks. That said, I run dual network on my router, and my phone will also do either as mobile hotspot. It's been ass on both, which is why I'm not convinced buying a wifi booster will actually do anything when it wouldn't connect to my phone 5 feet away. Seems like it's an issue with my specific dongle. It would be great if Stern would provide a list of compatible replacements, because it's far less of a hassle for me to spend 10 bucks on a dongle than to call them and ask them to replace it on a hunch.

*edit* Just found someone mentioned the Star Tech USB300WN2X2C dongle will work in Rush, at least. It's got dual antennas as opposed to a single, so that might possibly work. I'll have to look and see if the one in my GZ is that same brand, as they said the one in their Rush was. Who the hell knows what drivers Stern included to support whatever variety of manufacturers they're using....
Havent tested it yet, but I'd guess anything with the equivalent chipset should work.
Chipset: Ralink 5370
Just tried two models of tp link dongles (the one jjp recommends and a 2.4/5Ghz model. Neither was recognized by Godzilla. One of my kits came with a startech usb150wn1x1w if that helps.

Sorry. Didn’t realize it would matter what kind you got only the performance of it.

Actually, on mine at least, the hole is a bit tight so I had to literally unscrew the post from the wood. I’m assuming the poster had the same issue.
Don’t hammer it out!

no eta, no tease, nothing. there's not even a really good pattern to topper releases, either. Elvira's came pretty late, in example

Yeah don’t force anything. If it doesn’t pop out with a couple taps then just unscrew it.

I also have the tight glass, glad it's not just me. I cannot remove it without suction cups, which is a big difference from my System 11 which will slide out by itself if you don't hold on to it.

So this would just be as simple as unplugging the old one and plugging this in to get faster speeds? My downloads take forever even with my gig internet and the machine sitting only 25 feet from the router.

What’s forever? I haven’t done one since I got fiber, but my 300 download internet before did it in like 30 mins. I assume it will be 15 mins or so afterwards. But if the dongle can only handle up to so many megs, I don’t think it’s gonna get any faster no matter how good your wifi is.
And yes, I believe you just swap them out.

Yeah that’s crazy slow. Definitely try a different dongle.

I thought I had made a mistake the first couple of months I owned JP Prem, but the more I played it, the more I liked it. Think it is a keeper now.
Quoted from mstang01:I didn’t like JP at all when I played one (pro) a few times on site. Then I found one at a decent price (LE) thinking I’d play it for a bit and flip it but now I think it’s a keeper. So much more fun and I don’t know if it was the way it was set up on site or the pro vs prem/LE or just playing at home but the difference was night and day.
Quoted from 0geist0:What's everyones opinion on a shaker on the Pro, yes or no?
Lol. I’d put two in if I could..I have shakers in four games and it so well integrated in to GZ it makes me mad about the other 3.
For anyone that is interested in purchasing the Godzilla Multiball SDTM Roof Mod fix, I just ran another batch of 50 roof mods so they are boxed up and ready to ship. These are available in my Pinside shop for $45. A link to my shop is below along with an installation and demo video.

Hey Chip, I'm still waiting on mine also, ordered February 4th checked on them through email a month later and got the chastised response for even checking. I haven't emailed again because he has a 3 emails your order is cancelled policy. Quickly coming up on 4 months of waiting. If I didn't think the mod was worth it I would have cancelled a while ago since I've never had a issue getting updates for mods from anyone else on pinside. Maybe if they are a pain to make and take time maybe he should offer a assemble yourself kit with all parts needed to reduce the wait time.

Yeah not a good idea. I've been waiting coming on 4 months and have already been chastised for not following the rules on his site.

Don’t hammer it out!
My memory just clicked in, and I now remember why I pounded my posts out with a hammer. I actually first tried to unscrew the posts, but the pf wood isn't threaded - the bottom of the posts are threaded so the nut can be attached beneath the pf. I did turn the posts with a wrench for several turns, but the posts did not come out of the hole in the pf even a tiny bit. I then hammered them out.
Quoted from awassig:Yeah not a good idea. I've been waiting coming on 4 months and have already been chastised for not following the rules on his site.
I paid on 1/22 and they shipped on 5/19. Not like I have a game to put them on anyway.

YOU DO NOT TALK ABOUT FIGHT CLUB.
Quoted from tedwasright:YOU DO NOT TALK ABOUT FIGHT CLUB.
Dude, I think it's,"you do not talk about light club" for what it's worth I was in the club too. And like so many I jumped on the bandwagon the minute I heard about them. It took about two and a half months from the time I paid until delivery. Doug got slammed for orders when these were announced, and I can only imagine the list is longer as more gz are being released, so yeah, it will take some time to get caught up. He's up front and a straight shooter, your day will come. And for what it's worth, still waiting on my gz premium.
Quoted from medic7000:Don’t hammer the right outlane post out. It chipped the wood and luckily the washer hides it. If the attached nut posts is hard to twist due to space I was able to use this mini 6.5” channel lock to untwist it. [quoted image]
That looks like it's probably the correct tool to use - you can twist the post and pull up on it at the same time. After removing the nut on the underside of the pf, I 1st tried a wrench hoping to unscrew the post from the wood, which didn't work, so then I hammered the post out. Had I been thinking, I would have tried the channellock (I do have one) before resorting to the hammer (and luckily no damage). Sometimes we learn the hard way.
Quoted from Jimmyhonda:Lots of pages on this thread. Not sure if this has been covered, but my magna grab doesn’t seem to drop the ball far enough to the left so the upper flipper can get a clean shot for the loop. I can barely hit the ball with the upper flipper when the magnet drops it? The game is level too. Any suggestions?
Quoted from awesome1:Be careful if you have GZ multiball ready and you choose Ebirah because on the Pre/LE the Mecha barrier will rotate blocking the right spinner...
Quoted from PoopsMagee:Huh... On mine with the newest code it rotates back into regular position after starting Ebirah and stays that way until I clear the right spinner.
Quoted from awesome1:I'll confirm on 0.94 code this weekend, but pretty sure I've done it several times since update or I've intentionally avoided that scenario since 0.93 had it? Doubtful though since the code has been out almost a month now. If I'm in Ebirah battle and start Godzilla multiball, the shield will rotate to the target side until I get those to light add-a-ball and then it rotates to the spinner.
Confirmed!
Ebirah battle in Godzilla Premium with 0.94 code... Mechagodzilla barrier rotates when Godzilla Multiball starts, making it harder to complete Ebirah battle. I started slowly, but was able to earn the add-a-ball and defeat Ebirah!
What is the factory setting for the BIAS on the building stepper motor. I think it was 190 but I just want to be sure.

You're right! Well that.... sucks haha. Good thing to be aware of!
Quoted from koops:Even with the little furniture stops I was still
getting the occasional ball hang up on zilla.
I’d been waiting on some longer screws so I could install my plastic protectors but had an idea about fixing this area a little better. Apparently the aus le’s had different length screws compared to other countries machines.
I underhung a hex post in the area and it seems to really block it well. Can’t even get a ball to sit in there by hand. I didn’t have a long enough hex post on hand so I just used two smaller ones.

koops Thank you for this! I just did this fix and so far, so good. Awesome idea and recommendation.
Lord_Vader and I got our machine at the end of April and have been battling the same issue. Stern said to tighten the Allen screw in the Magna grab. First I just tightened it with seemingly no effect. Then I loosened and re-tightened it.
Note: These forums mentioned the bridge often breaks that end of that plastic cover away and I've seen in it multiple places (see below). I used a mini dremel to cut the plastic away and expose the screw instead of removing the bridge assembly, worked great. (see below)
We also did as chuckwurt suggested - dropped both left legs slightly until the bubble was leaning against the right line but still "leveled". (see below) We played it multiple times and it's much better. The ball is totally hittable now and Manga Grab even dropped it directly on the flipper multiple times.

When leveling put level on play field not on glass!
I’m not sure if it started with the latest code but my LE no longer notices stuck balls and hunts for them… has this been mentioned before and I just missed it? I’ve got one stuck next to mechagodzilla now for 15 min and it’s just happily playing music.
