Can anyone confirm whether or not there’s supposed to be a post sleeve or rubber on this post? Just double checking before I email stern. Thanks!

I don’t have my Godzilla yet, so I could be wrong, but it’s probably one of these.

I saw a few posts of people putting the Avengers IQ shooter rod on Godzilla. My question is how are they lighting it up? Thinking about wiring it into my speaker lights.

Great thanks so much for the reply -- passing this info on to my local dealer!

Quoted from SimplePin:

Got my game the other day and I was also having bubble trouble. I knew the feet should be all the way screwed in as a starting point and that the bubble should be in about the middle. Mine was way off as you describe. When I inspected the bubble the tube with the liquid and the bubble wasn't fully seated in the black plastic carrier that is screwed to the right rail. I popped it back in place and voila. Then I started backing out the back feet until I got it where I wanted it.
Good luck.

I just checked mine and it was out too. Thanks. Now I feel like it's correct.

You’re going to email Stern for one rubber ring - best of luck.

Hahah it's more the principle of it being left off. Just me but I think with a $9k purchase they should really include a set of spare rubbers and hardware for just such occasions. Maybe this ticket will add a feather to that scale. Does it make me petty asking them to send me a $0.39 rubber ring? Yes it does. Am I still going to? Yup.

Think I read it plugs in somewhere “factory” (same plug that AIQ uses?) and is interactive as is?

#10212 1 year ago

Is there a simple way to immediately delete all high scores? I know #39 is there but the lowest option is to reset scores after 10 games. I'm looking more for an immediate high score reset.

It does not work at the factory plug location, that requires the code to have it in there. A few of us have it working by soldering onto the RGB control for the UFO. This syncs the color and lights to the UFO lighting. I posted some photos a while back on how I did it.

In the Service Menu there should be a Utilities option and then a handful of "Resets" options, including things like "High Score Reset", "Grand Champion Reset", "Factory Reset", "Credits Reset", etc.

I had a unique stucky last night - The ball had the perfect speed to almost make it up the ramp and under the spinner. Three ball searches of the ramp rotating around had the ball rolling along the edge of the spinner but never coming free! Plenty of nudging and shaking to no avail until I really gave it some oomf and tilted. My advice - pull the glass and put the ball in the scoop if this happens to you!

Found today why the center spinner on my premium was so lazy, slowed by the transparent plastic from the top, just sand it to give necessary space. Now can kill ebirah with one good shot!

Anyone replace the flat Mothra plastic on the backboard?

Care to share any pictures? I saw the Godzilla cake toppers on Amazon that contain a 2-3" Mothra. Seems like the right size. I was hoping the figures were pvc so they could take a random ball hit...

Yes - get a Gashopon instead of the cake topper, as they are more detailed

Looks great. Is it brittle plastic, like a model or does it have some give, like pvc?

Vinyl, almost all Godzilla toys are vinyl. Easy to add a retaining screw for the wire I added so they look like they’re flying

#10224 1 year ago

This may have already been discussed, but I can't find it in the forum...

I have a premium, when I plunge the ball, it usually hits the right side of the scoop rail. I tried adjusting the lean of the shooter lane ramp a little bit, but that doesn't seem to help. It makes it difficult to get the skill shots behind the upper flipper. Any ideas on adjustments to make this a more consistent shot without hitting the right side of the scoop rail?

#10225 1 year ago
Quoted from PinMonk:

Check the connector on the coin door interface board inside left side of the cabinet. It's CN10, highlighted in the below picture.
Inspect the area below the buttons for a broken wire.
You also might want to check CN12, which is the service switch output to the CPU board. It could have come loose, too.
[quoted image]
If none of those are the problem, on CN10 you can short the pins together to force a switch registration, but the pins are small so it might be difficult. Basically one end of the jumper wire to pin 6 (GND) and then the other end to either pin 1 (Back), 2 (Down), 3 (Up), or 4 (Select) to trigger it manually when you connect any of those 4 to pin 6.

I just got a Premium, and I'm having the same problem except only the enter button is working. Pretty weird. Nothing seems to be out of place, broken, or loose.

I'm very close to launching my mod store, and I'll be selling a Flying Mothra mod. More info can be found here. I've just been focused on getting ready to reveal my Atomic Breath Godzilla mod.

I have them installed. I do like them and they are very durable. They are more noticeable if you don’t have pinstadiums installed as I do. I can take pics later if needed. Easy install as well.

Yes, I love them as well. I've done several sets now, and using the wet method literally only takes a few minutes per side even with the playfield installed.

Those look pretty sweet! Think I prefer those to the ones on the LE, sets the same but that blue background just looks way better against all the red and yellow.

I did my first set on a Deadpool premium then another set on a TMNT didn’t even know you could do them wet, just lined them up at the back with the bolt hole and stuck them on in one piece worked like a charm, might do it wet next time though for ease.

Yep, same method I used on mine. Playfield in and lined up with the bolt hole. Dry. Easier with two people but easily doable alone. Second person could help eyeball that the hole is lined up with the bolt. I was not interested in removing the playfield.

I installed my first set dry as well using the bolt hole to help alignment. The wet method allows for a little wiggle room and adjustment. I keep the playfield down in place to slide them in, align with bolt hole, make sure gap along the top is the same front to back and then press or squeegee and lift playfield to get the rear better and wipe up any excess water.

I'll try the playfield down method when my JP Prem arrives. Good idea. Thanks.

General pinball question: How easy is it to mess up the side art when lifting the playfield?

Easy enough. I bought myself a set of these:

Quoted from Walk:

The Stern sideart is thicker material and more robust so not as easy to mess up.

The sideart on my TZ I wiped out multiple times and would use packing tape to put back together. Finally replaced them and already has a minor snag spot...

Have to be careful.

I put Mirror blades on my Independence Day and you have to be real careful with those since they are a little thicker. Some games have more space than others as well. My TZ is very, very close.

Haha am I the only idiot that lifts the playfield out.

i strongly recommend getting the side protectors for when you lift the playfield

I'm about to do my first sideart install on IMDN and DP this coming month and I'm too paranoid to work with the PF still in. Removing and putting it back looks easy enough.

If you get wife or friend to help it's easy. We tip game up, slide to one side as far as possible, wrap art around field then start lining up. Never have done wet method, no issues on 10 or 12 we have done so far.

Super easy, 3 plugs to disconnect, put the playfield up in the service position and lift it up and out.

Handy to have a second pair of hands to guide the playfield rails into the cabinet when you lift it back in.

I'm not sure how many of you have been following my PoakyMods thread, but I'm finally able to offer a little sneak peak at my Atomic Breath Godzilla mod

More details & information will be coming this week. These are all hand made by myself, cast in urethane resins from custom master silicone molds, and then hand painted in great detail before final assembly. I'm still in the process of finishing up the first production run, putting together photos/videos/install instructions, getting the website built & everything else ready for sale.

I just took this image last night. Its exciting to finally be able to share! I've been holding back on the reveal for many months until the production process was finished.

Most of my updates will be posted in my PoakyMods thread. You can also sign up for updates on my website.

I'm sure many of your will be asking, so I'll will just state again: I do NOT take preorders or deposits for my items. When my runs are finished they will be posted for sale on my website, so be sure to follow along for production updates.
