This game was never on my radar - I'm not a Godzilla fan - but when I first played the Premium, I was hooked! So much so that I placed an order and am supposed to get it in summer, my first NiB. So am I in the club now or do I have to wait to receive it?

welcome to the club! lots of very good discussions and posts in this channel, they will help enhance your experience with this amazing game

I say once its on order you are in the club! Welcome

I say, there's enough of us waiting that we could have our own club.

Yeah, I definitely have to start reading! I only scratched the surface playing a half dozen games, but it immediately hooked me like Metallica did the first time I played that so I'm excited!

Quoted from Apinjunkie:

Sad but true... (see how I tied this into Metallica? ).

I already have $400 in mods for the thing and MAYBE getting it this month, outlook not so good....

I totally get it, stockpiling a pile of mods myself for this machine. Ordered December, was told August delivery. I spoke to my distributor and he assured me... It will be here when it gets here.

#8306 2 years ago

All - since it seems once you have a Godzilla on order you're "in the club" I thought I would stop stalking this thread and actually post. I ordered a Premium in early December ostensibly for the August run but I "may" see it in March... Still waiting on further updates from my distributor. From all of the glowing reviews I can't wait. It sounds like an awesome game and should be a keeper. I have appreciated reading through much of the posts here. Very informative! Glad to be joining whether in March or August!

I have 750 in mods, and should be getting mine in the next few weeks hopefully.

Also in the club for ordering the Premium and expecting to get it in maybe May, but most likely July. I'm nervous about the mods I'm buying for something I can only hope will be in my house one day!

I'm completely agree with you. But the upgraded buildings are something that has to be done, the art blades are needed, cliffys are going on no matter what.

I still need to pay for my side armor, the shaker motor, and which godzilla and mecha to replace the plastic ones on my Pro. If I am feeling really saucy, I might put in a bridge mod, a tesla strike, and maybe a different ufo.

If you're not already following, there is the Godzilla mod thread too. Lot of helpful information there.

Just had another awesome game! Tier 2 battles are so cool. Love the playfield design, so many great shots, ripping the spinners is so much fun. Also Just received and installed my Art of pinball saucer. Looks great and better than flat plastic.

So refreshing to have a game without standard orbits. And I love orbits! Wouldn’t believe you could have such Great flow without them.

Despite changing out my coils and sleeves, I'm still getting weak flippers on my LE, especially the two left ones. Even at the beginning of games sometimes, I find myself wrestling with the machine, trying to muscle the ball to the top of the playfield. The loop and right ramp are almost impossible after about 15 minutes. During multiballs, most flipper hits dribble up weakly about halfway up the playfield. It kills my arms and I can only play a few minutes everyday. I can go to an arcade and play for 3 hours and it doesn't bother me. If I play my TSPP right after GZ, the flippers feel like their on steroids, with the ball rocketing effortlessly all over the game. So I'm thinking it HAS to be the game and not my average playing skills.

So I'm getting some serious frustration here. Do I need the cooling fans? EOS switch adjustment? Other?

Any suggestions on how to make my LE playable appreciated. Feel free to message me. Thanks.

This was my exact experience, put down a deposit the very next day.

Adjust the EOS switches en even give them a super light sanding to help them make a better connection. Fans will only be needed for long periods of play. Should have zero issues making shots on a fresh game.

#8316 2 years ago

I'm in the pre order club too. I've never been a huge Godzilla fan as well but after playing one I was hooked. Hopefully mine will be in before 2023 but I can't wait. Also stock piling the mods so when it gets here I'll have at least a day of installing them lol.

Did you check your EOS switches to make sure they're timed right?

What are your flipper coil settings in the system menu?

How far do you have to depress your flipper button before the switch blades touch to activate the flipper? If it's a bit, you might want to bend the blades closer to the button so they activate sooner in the button press.

Check to make sure your flipper bats are gapped correctly. Too tight and the mechs will heat up faster

I just recently got my LE and have the same issue, soft flippers.

Pros are plastic. Premium and LE are metal.

Quoted from bemmett:

Am I missing something on Hedorah, I feel like I hit a ton of shots on 1 ball and I think my highest is like 60mil? Is there something beyond just hitting his lit shots?

at the beginning Hedorah shots are worth around 1M , but if you hit center spinner then value goes up.
Rodan helps as well with x2
i try to play Godzilla Multiball and focus on center spinner to advance on bridge.
i guess i had a good run playing mutiballs in a row

#8326 2 years ago

All switches increase the Hedorah value. Just have to play a super long ball once Hedorah starts.

#8327 2 years ago
Quoted from Jamesays:

I thought the issue has been with the coil stops, not the coils and sleeves, but I could be wrong. I'd change those as well if you haven't.

Can someone explain the Hedorah mode or shots? I see the animation pop up and them saying he's been dispatched to Tokyo but must not realize when I'm in the mode or what shots to hit.

Starts as a mystery award. It’s the only way to start it. One shot will be a weird green color. Shoot that shot, collect the current value, then it moves to another shot. Runs until your ball is over.

The way it gets crazy high is that all switches increase it’s value. And that value never resets. It just keeps growing.

Well that explains it, never really shoot for the mystery award on purpose much.

So replacement coil stops are a separate thing to replace besides the sleeves and coils? If so, anyone know where one can buy those? Thanks.

Major Vendors like Pinballlife and Marco or Actionpinball all carry quality stops.

Yeah those I already replaced...thanks for the link.

Definitely double check the flipper power settings and increase if you haven't already and check the End of Stroke (EOS) switches on each flipper to make sure they aren't opening too soon.

Quoted from Sako-TRG:

I wasn’t interested at all in this theme.
Think it was the stupid films recently released that put me off.
Anyway, found an LE on location in UK - hard to believe that would happen but anyway.
What a machine…. buttery smooth, campy fun, toys, lights, great use of shaker, art, call outs, music, sounds…those wire forms … it has it all.
I actually went in to play Deadpool which was great but nothing compared to this.
Never knew they based this on the original themes.
Well done Elwin and Stern Team it’s a masterpiece.

Probably sums up why my DP LE was let go For GZ LE without much thought given to it

#8342 2 years ago

Seeing a lot of posts from members saying they weren't into the theme before playing. Any Godzilla fans around here? This was a dream theme for me, I couldn't believe Stern were going through with it. They could have taken the license in so many directions, but the one they went with is perfect for pinball!

Quoted from pluto:

Was playing some today and had my first real issue I've noticed. My building will come down for Godzilla Multiball but the bar on the roof holding the balls in place won't lift high enough to release them. Then it'll return to original position and ball search, lower the building again and without fail the second attempt releases them correctly. Went into service menu and tested (there is a ball stuck there currently) but when I go to the 4th floor in the tests the bar just doesn't raise high enough to let the ball out.
Anyone seen this and have a fix?

Decided to add a video to show the problem. It just seems the mech doesn't go all the way down to lift the bar even when I push it down and have adjusted the bias to be as low as possible.

Anyone seen this and can offer help to fix?

You need to adjust the building so bottom position is lower. Change to adjust mode to do that.

You can see the instructions in the TOPIC INDEX at the top of any page in this thread. Click TOPIC INDEX. Then click on KEYPOST SUMMARY to sort by post names, then look for TECH:PLAYFIELD and there's a link about adjusting the building itself.

Looking at your issue, it seems like the building just isn't going down quite far enough.

Amazing collection!

This has honestly been one of the most surprising things to me regarding this pin. Soooo many mentions of how no-one cares for the theme, I just don't get it? Sure the movies are ridiculous and very much outdated, but how freaking cool are they?!?

I know I'm likely in the minority here, but on theme alone this sells me over Star Wars, Avengers, and (insert rock band name here)

Hey! That's what I had done before I took this video, but even with the bias at it's max (lowest position) value it's still not far down enough until I give it that extra push with my finger as seen in the video. It's a brand new machine (90ish total plays) and this problem only cropped up maybe 5 plays ago. Before that it was perfect.

I don't know for sure how it knows where the bottom is since I don't have a GZ Prem. Usually there is a switch on the assembly, then the bias adjusts from there. Is there a switch that maybe became bent or loose?

EDIT: Yes, there's a switch. Bring your bias back so the building is up a bit (so you have room to micro-adjust) first, then check and adjust that switch and fine-tune with BIAS adjustment.

to be fair, if you go back earlier in the thread, there were a lot of us saying this was a dream of pin+theme. I think the more recent comments have been from folks that weren't drawn in to buy right away by the theme, and therefor wouldn't have gotten in on the first waves, and just now would be ordering/getting the machines. So it seems like there's more folks that aren't into the theme than is actually the case.
