Curious what kind of timeframes people are seeing from retailers on Pros and Premiums. Anyone ordered a game recently and been given an idea?

Hearing pending when you ordered mid this year to 1Q of 2023 on the GZ prems.

Quoted from northerndude:

Hey nice stuff.
I have a pet peeve though.... if you're gonna use cable ties, got to use flush cuts man...got the sharp hangers on the ends!!!!

Haha, fair enough.
Reason I didn't hide the bulk ends of the cable ties underneath was to ensure plenty of room for ball travel under the plastic, which there is plenty enough room...maybe I just go ahead and put them underneath. But good eye, I could have cut that one on the left much more flush! ...suppose I was just excited to get them mounted and installed.

EDIT:
Went ahead and re-cable tied the characters with the bulk end of the zip tie fashioned tightly *underneath* the plastic this time.
Actually, got a better grab all together and the ties themselves actually sit more flush than before (and all ends/edges cut flush )
Good eye northerndude , I appreciate you noticing that, it does look much cleaner.

Question - does it seem like something should go here? Maybe a post sleeve instead?

I haven't yet. I know it'll be a hell of a long wait, but it's better than paying a few grand in scalpers' fees. I'm just kind of mulling if I want Godzilla bad enough to permanently shelve turning a World Poker Tour into a Voltron pin, since it's looking like I'll have the money to choose one or the other, finally.

Quoted from izzy:

I have a set of the Tesla Towers by Diddy. For the folks that installed them all facing forward with the back right one hanging over the ramp, have you had that arm break or feel like it will eventually get hit by the ball? I set mine up per instructions, but i like the other look better. Here is a photo (not of my game or taken by me) of the recommended setup.
thx
[quoted image]

I oriented the tower like you prefer. After a few weeks it took a ball shot and broke off the coil. I’m going to leave it as is with missing coil as I barely notice it and prefer the orientation. I had to drill a new hole in base to orient this way.

Quoted from blueberryjohnson:

Solution I've found for folks who have the ball trap problem on the back loop: keep jacking up the pitch and eventually it shouldn't happen anymore. Unfortunately, such an extreme pitch can mess with someone of your feeds and make certain shots harder than desirable to hit.
However, to me it's worth it to never again (I hope) have a game play out like my most recent one: Light rodan from loops midway through the first tier 2 battle which was going great only to have the ball get stuck on a slow return from loop six, followed by a tilt out when trying to nudge it out (in my experience, this is a ball trap that cannot be safely nudged free).

I made a post out of pull ties and haven't had any more problems. You make an L out of 2 tabs and feed it through the bottom. Then super gel glue to playfield bottom, holding in place with a toothpick until glue dries. Then cut off top leaving an inch or so.

Yeah seems like they sold out quickly.

#6667 2 years ago
Quoted from Gunloc:

I'd like to think I ordered a set along with the skyline and plastic canvas early that morning as soon as it went on sale and I still haven't received it. I'm in no rush and will be patient, as he clearly stated this mod will take time. Looking forward to this awesome mod and will post when I receive it.

I ordered the flame speaker lights. I didn’t see the skyline and plastic canvas.

Innovative! Thanks for sharing. Would you link me the glue you mention? I assume it is a kind that can be safely removed without damaging the playfield art or clear. Would want to make sure I'm doing things the right way when attempting this.

I use this. Only put it on the underside where it won't matter.

I kept my foam. Can’t find the second page with the city scape.

#6679 2 years ago

They are actually back ordered at CT. I know their cart system is a bit screwy but it tells you this just as you pay and not in the cart or when you add it to the cart. However they should be getting them within a weeks time, or so I was told that from them today.

The plastic canvas is listed right below where you buy the light kits (on the same page) as well as on the Accessories page.

The City Skyline design is on the Acrylic Designs page.

All of this info is right there on the Type 14 webpage.

Just stopping by to say hi! After a 6 plus hour trip last night, I am officially part of the GZ club. Got our pro home and setup late last night.

Congrats! Have fun!!

Can you not use the foam that comes factory with your speakers? Or you need to grab more foam? I honestly have never ordered a speaker light kit yet, and this will be my first! I didn’t know if my factory speakers already had foam but assumed they did.
I only got the kit, canvas, and acrylic city inserts. I’ve been eyeballing this kit for a while, and ordered as soon as they were available too! Can’t wait!

I have never needed new foam. I always reuse the foam and get the canvas. Love 'em!

Just received my Flamin' Frames today! Now I just need my Godzilla Premium to arrive!

awesome1 Any update from your distributor on timing for the next batch of premiums? I believe we are both in the March batch.

I last talked to them a couple weeks ago and they were still thinking it was going to be March. I really hope so!

Quoted from kguenther6:

Hard to see from the pic. Did you cut off the lower arm or is it overhanging the ramp?

It’s hanging. I didn’t change anything except for using strong 2-sided tape to attach the back-right tower in it’s rotated position.

Tokyo skyline. If you put it in front of the foam it's more defined. Behind, like I did, is more hazy smoke like. He explains the differences in instructions

I can't recall the skyline as an add on purchase. Is it included?
