I am an Insider subscriber, but I already received my swag kit a month or so ago. Maybe I won the contest for the Limited Edition swag that Gary pitches on those flyers that are stuck to the glass when you buy a NIB? I doubt it, but it's a fun thought.

Whats in the swag kit?
Edit: i see you mean the kit for insider subscription.

Did anyone receive the free gift that was promoted on the flyer? No idea how/where to sign up for this

Very cool. What company sells those blades?

Those are the LE exclusive ones that come pre-installed on the LEs.

Not sure if this is the right place. I received a UPS notification stating that an item is on its way from Stern Pinball. It says it weighs 1#, but I'm not sure what it is. Is there a replacement part coming for Godzilla? I received a Godzilla Premium recently and the only thing I can think of is maybe it's a recalled part for Godzilla? Maybe the plastic under the bridge that users are reporting broken? I've had no issues with mine.

Got the same notice, mine arrives Monday

Here is a sample Lit Kit Flipper mod for Godzilla been working on lately, capturing the flame look. Planning to be at https://ArcadeMade.com in a bit.

I went for pearl. The real ship is not really white. In my opinion.

i'd really like to see a green/blue combo, to match the on-game coloring..also, i've heard there's some structural issue w/ the lit bats..is that still a concern?

A green/blue combo might look really nice too! Could see about that as well. For structural integrity, these lighted flippers use solid shafts without wiring present in the shaft so they have pretty good strength there. Since being developed last summer, the Lit Kit Flippers have enjoyed good durability with a variety of kits having been run for months on location for hours a day reliably. Including the early release version kits from August, so far just a few replacements have been sent out where an installation instance by a user or a manufacturing instance has popped up. It's been a fun process, and the design/build has been enhanced for strength and performance along the way.

Sure, perhaps in a week or so will have them, and an update will be posted ideally with some installed photos.

great to hear! will your set be all 3 flippers, or just the bottom 2? I know you mentioned in the main flipper thread that you weren't sure how you'd wire the upper flipper last year

Has anyone other then the few demo folks get their GZ flickering flame speaker kits as of yet, if so how was the install process?

#6617 2 years ago
Quoted from DeathHimself:

Installation is actually pretty easy. Following the directions is the difficult part. I was a bit confused trying to follow the directions. But once I got one side done the other side was easy after I had the process figured out.

I had an early set, install is same as his other kits. Simple , once you do one of his kits, you'll never need instructions again .

#6619 2 years ago

Only thing really different is you have option to mimic flames or have each side run differently, with a splitter. I like the randomness better myself, but both looked good.

When I saw the sample flaming speaker kit they had at Pintastic it had the silhouette of a city skyline at the bottom of the speaker- is that what the finished product looks like? Anyone have a picture?

Tokyo skyline. If you put it in front of the foam it's more defined. Behind, like I did, is more hazy smoke like. He explains the differences in instructions

I'd like to think I ordered a set along with the skyline and plastic canvas early that morning as soon as it went on sale and I still haven't received it. I'm in no rush and will be patient, as he clearly stated this mod will take time. Looking forward to this awesome mod and will post when I receive it.

Ditto, ordered at 7:33am and have not heard anything as of yet which is fine. In the meantime I was hoping for those who did and received to hear how the install went, the do's and don't this way I'm a jump ahead when they come as what to do or not.

Does anyone know whether the flaming frames will work with the pinwoofer set? Anything I need to consider? I also have Pinstadium installed, do I need to order the power splitter for the flaming frames? Thanks much for any advice that can be given.

#6625 2 years ago

Quick question I'm hoping you guys can help me out with.

I've read guys talking about spamming the right ramp in some sort of a train mode. What is this mode and how do you get to it?

Yes works with pinwoofer, not sure on pinstadium issue

I believe this mode is only in the premiums and LEs. Hit the ramps enough times to get to train mode. But I don't think you can be in any other mode/multiball when hitting the ramps to build up to train mode.

I was on the waiting list and once Doug emailed to let me know they were now available, I ordered right away that morning. I got a shipment notification on Tuesday night - so he has started shipping some.

I've installed his other sets and install isn't too hard.

got my titans in...went with clear on the playfield, and green for the flippers for now... I still need to find new bats (maybe blue glow?)

Curious why the Godzilla title is crossed out on the list of games this product fits?

Greetings EvilChicken - you'll have no problems in terms of compatibility with the speaker panel or the lighting kit. We also have a dedicated power solution. Here's the kit you'll want:

https://pinwoofer.com/pinwoofer-spike-super-kit/

It's all turnkey but give as shout if you want to chat.

Thanks!

My balls been getting stuck in between these two wireforms. I pulled up on the top and tried to separate them a bit more, but i don’t think it will last. Anyone else experience this?

I have a set of the Tesla Towers by Diddy. For the folks that installed them all facing forward with the back right one hanging over the ramp, have you had that arm break or feel like it will eventually get hit by the ball? I set mine up per instructions, but i like the other look better. Here is a photo (not of my game or taken by me) of the recommended setup.
thx

As I’m looking at this more I’m thinking adding another washer to where the upper wireform is connected to the building might lift it just enough to prevent the ball getting caught up

I saw a couple of posts where people were having trouble with the ball getting stuck there. I think they just bent it a little to separate where they cross.

Hard to see from the pic. Did you cut off the lower arm or is it overhanging the ramp?

I had the same problem and pulled them a little more apart. Have not had the issue since. The fix seems to last fine on mine.

#6648 2 years ago

id like to share some progress Ive made on my GDZ.

The stars aligned and I lucked into scoring some Xiliens...
Fashioned a plastic base which I attached to the post at the top of the outlane (secured the Martian feet by zip ties) and placed a spotlight at the top of the outlane plastic facing them at an upward angle (via longer screw with some black spacers). Hid the wiring to the underside of the outline plastic and ran it down the pf hole (along with the rocket PCB wires) and attached to the red-yellow GI. Just loving them there.

Added a Mothra figure via music wire to a screw holing the Mothra plastic. Added 2 spotlights behind the Drake building (out of view) with one of them facing up to the Mothra figure (alligator clipped to the Mothra flasher) and the other using Comet Fire bulb facing a custom 3d-printed center building facade along the backboard (to the right of the Subway building).

Overall, Im really pleased with the end result.

Hey nice stuff.

I have a pet peeve though.... if you're gonna use cable ties, got to use flush cuts man...got the sharp hangers on the ends!!!!

#6650 2 years ago

Solution I've found for folks who have the ball trap problem on the back loop: keep jacking up the pitch and eventually it shouldn't happen anymore. Unfortunately, such an extreme pitch can mess with some of your feeds and make certain shots harder than probably intended to hit.

However, to me it's worth it to never again (I hope) have a game play out like my most recent one: Light rodan from loops midway through the first tier 2 battle which was going great only to have the ball get stuck on a slow return from loop six, followed by a tilt out when trying to nudge it out (in my experience, this ball trap is nigh impossible to safely nudge free).
