TOHO theater in progress. Modeled for the premium and will be making a version for the Pro. The sign will indicate balls locked.

I made a metal version of the bridge. It is technically difficult to install, and not sure if I would want to sell them unless I can come up with some instructions I think most people could follow.

Awesome I'd be in for a set of these and then maybe have them powder coated if possible

Quoted from DeathHimself:

I kind of envisioned it as a raw stainless steel look, but curious what color you would want to see this powder coated? I was thinking of doing another version that was a suspension bridge inspired by the Golden Gate Bridge that I could powder coat red.

#657 2 years ago

I have an LE. Any bridge facelift would be welcome! Please put me on your list. For when it is finished and up for sale.

I'd be interested in being on your list as well...and would certainly consider a powdercoated version. Given the metal, would it make the slamming into the plastic above the magnet worse?

Hmm not sure yet however you might not want to go by me lol. I'm a model railroad guy so I like realism to an extent so for that reason I might do something like one of the colors below but in flat as there really aren't any shiny bridges and then to put the cherry on top I'd probably weather it as well. Here are some sample below with the last also being silver but in flat or even maybe in the LE armor sparkle.

Most likely I'd go with the flat black, then do some airbrush weathering to it.

I thought about that. The piece that the plastic bridges and my metal bridge screw into is metal and that seems to be what hits.

That would be cool. I'll most likely just have a bare stainless version and leave it to whoever buys it to repaint it.

#661 2 years ago

I like it bare stainless especially matched with the mechagodzilla mod you did. Also, sent you a message.

Absolutely, that's where the fun kicks in when you do it yourself and personalize it to your liking

For those contemplating the Mezel buildings. Here’s me LE with everything thus far. Also, just for fun a new sticker to cover the warning and my own shooter rod - I’m new to this and have zero design skills but thought I’d share.

I'm loving that sticker man! You did a great job on that shooter rod as well! Any chance at getting at getting a sticker? And those mezel buildings look great installed on your game but I fell in love with them lit up in a dark gameroom, but Id probably be more interested in a classic cement color building instead of yellow on the subway but I can paint it I suppose!

I only like the first one. Like the reddish rust. Also maybe base color not so brown. Maybe brownish, grayish.

Any news on Stern Side Armour for Godzilla?

I found a local distributor and was able to get his last GZ pro that is coming in March for me. So excited to get it and put some of these cool looking mods on it.

Does the subway building look better in person? That bright yellow seems to stand out alot in photos, doesn’t fit in as well as the others.

#672 2 years ago

I've been experimenting with metal covers for the standup targets. I want to test these a bit more before I consider selling them but so far they work without issue.

Curious, wouldn't having those metal edges cause the balls to wear a lot quicker/sooner?

#675 2 years ago

Can any of you 3d guys print this up? No matter my level, pitch or mecha height, I occasionally hit a ball stuck, only way to loosen is ball search or tilt. If it was 1"4 tall, it would be perfect. Don't laugh , this is the bottom of a hand soap container that was 4" across, but fits the arc properly. Please consider,,,,

I think the subway facade looks really good in person. It's rather dark in the back corner, so there's a fair amount of shadow. So, the yellow doesn't come across as bright as it looks in your hand under the light once installed. I think it's a nice addition. It's a little bit of a PIA to install, but very doable. I like it very much in my game and would recommend it to others.

Quoted from Sleal16:

That is possible. There are many another pieces on the playfield the ball hits that are metal (e.g. the scoop and the bridge target) that unlike these don't have any give. But this is one of the reasons I want to test it.

Yeah, it was more edge of the cross sections and overall target vs general flat surfaces. Hitting a smooth surface even if hard shouldnt be much of an issue, but something with a sharp edge might have different results. Yeah, let us know how testing goes, looks pretty cool.

This project for the slings and ball guide going a little slower than expected, but got a decent test run with the base coat and allowing enough open to let the LEDs under it to shine through. Now to see about adding contrast with some of areas to give it some more definition.

Looks incredible! Will you produce these to sell?

Quoted from ChipScott:

If I can feel confident on the final looks, for sure. Its a slow moving project as I'm making subtle changes every few days as I'm fitting it in tweaks with the other projects we're working on.

Any chance you could make that Japanese sign that lights up to match and go with the premium building? The whole thing looks great but I’d be in for just the cool sign for my premium if you could do it.

Awesome mod!! And I totally agree with Utesichiban if you could make a Premium/LE mod, that would be great!

I have an LE right now, but I've put so much into it to get it to a reasonable level that I've been thinking the same. Going with a Pro, putting in things like this building mod, Tesla Strike, new Godzilla/Mechzilla/Mothra, new saucer, new buildings, shaker motor, upgraded speakers/amps and you have something that is WAY ahead of a stock LE, at a lot cheaper price.

I'm not sure we're giving up too much to lose the bridge, building, and mech shield, if you have all this other stuff under glass. (I would miss the collapsing building though...fantastic experience the first 50 times you see it)

I really like the look of tdiddy's, but i've had 2 legs break on my left tower, and the top pop off my front one (thankfully quickly resolved with superglue). I wish the legs were a bit more robust

Hey all, for the pro owners I need some help. Does anybody know how to easily and safely remove the flat plastic mecha Godzilla plastic on the right side? Any details or instruction would be greatly appreciated.
