In the meanwhile I found a solution for the spinning UFO mod. This can be achieved by taking a 80 to 125 millimeter inline skate wheel, together with two high quality smooth ball bearings and a spacer set. There are LED lighted versions of these wheels, in various colors. Spacers have one side with an “allen wrench” tightening spot, and one side with regular screw-thread. You could either use a small “allen wrench” and use that as a small metal mount for the wheel to float on. Or use the screw-thread side for the same purpose. Either way, an extra metal object will be attached so everything can be mounted on the screw location that is used by the rail. For the object to appear as a UFO, it needs plastic/aluminum caps for mounting on the top and bottom sides of the wheel.
The tricky part is to make the UFO spin, without some form of electronic trigger system. Magnets will maybe cause issues with the balls/machine down the line? Not sure actually. There should definitely be people on Pinside, who tried to move objects inside a pinball machine by use of magnetic fields. Maybe have the ball trigger a magnet to move closer to the UFO, while the UFO also containing several small magnets. Otherwise the ball will need to hit some small object that sticks out, from the side or the underside of the UFO. Like Stern did with the fishing reel on the Jaws machine. If the bearings are smooth enough, it will not take much force to make the wheel spin. But the ball should not be hit again by the mechanism, because the UFO will loose its spinning power. Hmmm, something to think about…
stumblor Is it possible for you to create bigger plastic caps that are almost identical in shape/looks to your Lolly UFO?
As for the small video display, check this out:
It’s a Raspberry Pi 4B with 3.5" TFT touchscreen at 480x320 resolution. This is small enough to mount at several places inside the machine. Plus it’s big enough to actually enjoy the video material. MezelModsDesign could create a smaller version of the “alien console”, that is already produced in large format for the main Stern LCD. I watched some tutorials online, and discovered a way to create a video looper. When the Raspberry Pi is powered on, it will automatically boot into the video mode and will start looping videos endlessly.
Trying to decide on flaming speaker lights. Any advantrages to Myth over Doug's version? I already have non addressable LEDs for under and behind cabinet lighting.

I have Myth.. very nice set, simple set up and give me the exact effects i want.
Today I installed the “Skillshot Optimiser” mod and the official Stern art blades. Both have been discussed before in this topic. Although I do like to state that the first mentioned mod, completely solved the issues with balls regularly rattling side-to-side upon exiting the ball launcher section. In a stock machine, the ball often touches the wood on the right side. This causes the ball to slow down and wiggle a bit. Plus the launch section is normally a little bit too wide. With the new long metal strip mounted, these issues have been completely solved. The ball launcher section is now one or two millimeters more narrow, which straightens a launched ball. And due to this section now completely being metal, the ball glides smoother as well. Especially with a little wax on it, everything became super smooth. It’s a highly recommended mod for all Godzilla pinball owners.

Mine has been the same way, I went from the plastic version of the shooter lane mod to the full metal one, and it’s still regularly rattles on the shot.

We will keep this in mind, as we are currently working on a set of mods for the 70th Godzilla. Below are some *very* early prototypes of a few things, including an upgrade to our Kaiju sign. Thanks for reading!

Looks great. Would be sweet if you could light up behind the letters on the sign!
Now available the Toho Scope (QR code) and Japanese Go Go Godzilla (Seizure warning) magnet covers for 70th anniversary in Black and White. Also, the original Go Go Godzilla color apron cover is now available in a magnet for the first time (Premium and LE metal aprons only).

Great
I received several requests for a red LED version of my Mechagodzilla Shield Mod. The original version has blue LEDs and matches the original prem/LE pinball machines. The red LED version is designed for 70th Anniversary machines to more closely match the playfield lighting. If you are interested in purchasing this mod in the red LED version, there is now an option to select either a red or blue LED variation in my Pinside shop. I have included one picture of the red version below along with photos of the standard interactive shield mod for reference. This interactive mod is available for $130 plus $4.95 shipping to the US.

I designed and sculpted it too look like Zombie Yetis art, so very much in the same style as Atomic Godzilla. In fact I actually had quite a bit of advice from Jazzbouche who made the Atomic Godzilla on this. Once the lighting effects are finalised hopefully this week, I will show a lot more.
Currently the production batch for beta testers are running the light patterns used in the Atomic Godzilla, which looks great but I want something that is more fitting to Ghidorah. So instead of a flame pattern light show, a lightning/electrical LED effect is the aim, this will also give them each their own unique looks, which will great a stunning lightshow across the back of the game.
More than a few of use have Tesla towers and/or spinning jet jaguar in that spot. Is there a secondary location where this would fit? I'm guessing probably not due to space constraints. I would even put it up on the topper if necessary, if the cable was long enough.

I was actually curious myself if you could still keep two of the towers and just remove the one at the back right corner

In all honesty during the design process I did not give the pylons/towers much consideration.
I just set out to make the coolest version of Ghidorah to go with Godzilla and Mecha, as that back corner felt a little empty being the only area without a Kaiju/monster.
Like every mod I produce, I create what I think would be cool for my own game. If they prove popular and a tonne of people want one that’s an awesome bonus that I am super grateful for.
Looking specifically at Diddys tesla tower set up, it appears only the back right tower (the one that’s mounted sideways) would need to be removed.
I will try to do a quick photos from directly above and maybe you guys could take a look and post your thoughts on the fitment around the towers.

Managed to get a couple of photos from above, to show the sizing and position of the necks/heads. Just done the view from above for now as the models are missing the finishing paint layer and clear coat.
Hopefully this gives you and others a good idea of the space, I know quite a few tower owners that have spoke to me privately about Ghidorah are either simply removing towers.
One Pinsider did come up with a cool idea, that he plans on trying out, modifying the towers so it appears Ghidorah has damaged and destroyed them, which will lean nicely into the damaged/destroyed aesthetic that Stumblor has executed brilliantly with his Tokyo Neon buildings and my bridge will also have.
IMG_0720 (resized).jpega4dc8d97-1c98-4f5c-937f-e75b44e692bd (resized).jpegAs a stand alone, it looks great so far. One man's opinion....I'd love to see a smaller version that sits on a post, maybe 1/3 of current scale. For my machine, I want to keep the 2 towers (only installed the front facing duo) Plus, I'm invested heavily in Stumblor's terrific Noodle Bar and the continuing back wall, and wouldn't want to hide it. One that could be installed over one of the sling plastics would also be cool.
Easy to say, I know!
Quoted from CapeCodPin:I'm invested heavily in Stumblor's terrific Noodle Bar and the continuing back wall, and wouldn't want to hide it.
The stock building and especially Stumblors awesome noodle bar where both heavily taken into consideration when designing Ghidorah.
I’ve purposely shown a top down view here to try and answer the tower questions, as that’s not a mod I have installed on my game or any of the beta tester games.
Face on from a players point of view the Noodle Bar is as clear to view as the Subway with Godzilla stood in front of it, a lot of consideration was made in keeping the view as clear and clean as possible.

Any chance we could see a view from a players perspective? Looking at the left side, it seems like Stumblor deliberately left space to the left of his mod so as to prevent the Godzilla figure from blocking his excellent work. On the right side, the mod goes straight to the corner, so it would appear such a large figure in front would obscure much of his work. Again, just one man's opinion. I would think your design could be perfect as long as someone hasn't installed the Diddy towers and the Noodle Building from Davey (probably the two most popular mods for GZ). I'd love to be proven wrong as I've been looking for mini Ghidora for my pin.

I most likely won’t be showing anymore photos until reveal but I am confident I will be able to prove you wrong, unfortunately I won’t be able to do as well when it comes to being a mini Ghidorah.
I wanted to create something that would have equal scale and presence on the playfield as the Atomic Godzilla and Mecha featured on the Prem\LE. Just like the Atomic Godzilla mod, Ghidorah will be fully interactive running on a Stumblor board, allowing it to be fully interactive and add even more kick ass lightshows to the game.
Regarding the buildings, from the factory the left side/subway building is simply further away from the cabinet side than the right/noodle building. The Stumblor buildings sit very closely within the same footprint as the factory buildings, they are just 100x more awesome!

Godzilla is all about the Kaijus/Monsters, so for anyone looking for more of what Godzilla is all about, Ghidorah will hopefully be perfect.
As said above it was designed around the Stumblor and Stern factory noodle bar so they will fit perfectly together. Regarding the pylons/towers it will require the far back one (the one mounted sideways to the others) to be removed but the front two should be fine.
A minor position tweak or modification to make them look damaged by Ghidorah seem to be the popular choices/suggestions from those that have seen the final build with towers in their game.
Hope that answers all the points/concerns, ultimately I have tried to design something cool for the game, that I wanted for my own game first and foremost that hopefully others will think is kickass.

I look forward to your progress and unveiling once completed. If you ever decide to introduce a small version, maybe 3" spherical diameter sitting on a smoldering pile of rubble that shakes when the shaker motor activates or when a shot goes up the right ramp, I'm in! Good luck. It's cool.
Here are a few mods for the B/W version. We turned our slingshot mod into Black and White . We also have a red plastic protector set, this is PETG not fluorescent. Also the clear air ball plastic to smoke grey in front of the building.

It’s looks from the pic that you have Plastic protectors under your Molded Slinghshot models. I recently purchased your colored versions and my former plastic protectors wouldn’t fit due to thickness.
Is your set thin enough to allow a protector under the molded slings?
I had the same issue with the plastic protectors...pinball life sells longer bolt posts and that was my fix

Hello
Yes my protectors that I use and sell are .060 , are you using florescents?

Finally got a chance to look at this photo looking down into my machine at the same time. The only Tesla Tower that would have to go would be the back one where Ghidorah stands. It has full clearances from my angle for Towers 1 & 2
Pretty sweet

Yes Green fluorescents. I could not find a longer threaded rod post on Pinball life.
I finally got around to wiring up my Maser Canon from High End Mods and man it’s pretty!
I am new to the Stumblor boards adjustments though. Played with the dials a bit and found I like the shorter timings of the lights on the Canon itself
Anyone know exactly how each dial works? I was just trial and error with a ball in hand throwing it at the target & spinner to guesstimate it
