Just played a game of GBLE. New code is awesome.

Think it might've made it to Top 10 if code had been released in beginning.

WDLE and BM66 also.

Not sure any of these would stayed in Top 10 permanently.

GB is a top 10 pinball theme IMHO. The execution was good, but I am hoping there will be a somewhat tweaked vault in the future. I think Dwight Sullivan made subtled allusion about something about that?

I was definitely not a fan of GB in the past having played it plenty (both pro and premium) at league and in a few private homes. I always thought the theme was awesome and walked away thinking it was a shame. The newer code has totally transformed the game and I actually just sought one out via a trade and now happily own a GB Premium. It's really fun with lots to shoot, excellent theme integration, great audio package, and great artwork. There are small add-ons and tweaks to make it play much better (less cheap drains) which cover a lot of the other stuff people used to gripe about. Definitely a big fan now and happy I added one to the collection for sure. The me from a year or two ago would have NEVER believed that I'd ever snag one but code changes such as this can make a MASSIVE difference so it seems.

Well start with Lyman's machines of course, they take a long time to get going.
Havent played GB in a loooong time, and don't plan on it. For me it wasnt an X-men situation with horrible horrible launchcode, but a layout issue.

I'm happy to own several of the most loathed games on Pinside (GBLE, AVLE, SP, etc).

Agree that GB is more fun with the new code. It was a fun game before and the latest code makes it even more fun.

Same with Avengers. "New" code came out for it quite a while ago but if you haven't played it since, you should give it a try.

Some owners are resistant to change the factory default difficulty (for some reason) which can prevent them from enjoying a game. Original AVLE and GBLE code was more challenging to progress than the later releases. So all you needed to do is make extra balls easier to achieve and/or lower the difficulty of the game objectives so you can progress and experience more of the game. It's your game, adjust it so it is fun for YOU to play, not to maximize earnings.

Personally the more balls I played on GB, the more I hated it.
more extra balls = less fun

Maybe Star Trek? I still think it’s a bit meh but the code on it now is much better than when it was released.

Iron Man. The new code is great.

You're wrong!
Iron Man has ALWAYS been great!

I never said it (Iron Man) was bad. The new code just makes it better than what it was.
