Hi,

I have gone through all posts here and found people who have problems with the HB Hotel door not opening. My problem is different, I cannot get the door to close.

If I push the door closed manually, and do the HB Hotel coil test, it fires and opens the door. But never is the door closing on its own, even during gameplay, the door remains open.

Does someone have an idea what is going on with my machine please? Have looked all over the place but cannot understand what is happening.

thanks for your reply.

I found out it was an even sillier reason. Whoever had the machine before removed the spring from the coil controlling the door, probably because the coil was fried and he wanted to keep the hotel door open so he could still play with the game.

Adding a compression spring to the coil resolved the problem.
