Hi everyone,

I have a Stern Elvis machine and it has recently developed a fault where it blows the fuse under the play field when you press the right flipper button (lower flipper). Everything else on the machine still works, including the upper right flipper.
I thought this would be the old transistor / diode combo. I have now changed the pair of them 3 times with no success. On occasion the flipper will work for 3 or 4 flips before it locks on and blows again.
Initially the machine blew fuse F6. Now it just blows the under play field fuse. Is there anything else i should be looking for? There are no shorts as far as I can see and it only blows when I press the flipper button.

I have checked the continuity on the transistor and it is fine from all legs and no cross connections.
Should I replace the coil?

I have replaced the coil with a brand new one and I am still getting the same problem. Is there something else I should be looking at? This is starting to drive me nuts.
