the dmd on my Austin powers is having problems with low intensity images. bright text and graphics are fine. dim text is mostly missing. out gassing or board issue?

Same problem here on my TSPP. Solution?

I breifly thought of that but I assumed that they would be different. I'm learning that a lot of parts are the same ones used by many different manufacturers--Williams, Stern, etc. Thanks for the advice, but I already ordered a new one for my TSPP. Figure if that's not the problem, then I'll use it soon anyway.
