ive got a tspp display that rarely boots up, no opening rom screen. one in a while it works for a few seconds, once in a while display garbage. all voltages spot on, 5v logic power fitting with new crimped connector. i think the dmd control board is bad. my question is, what should the red led on the controller board be doing on a properly operating game? its usually on solid, sometimes, not lit, never flashes. the game boots, plays, good sound. tried new DMD, no help.

The red LED on the DMD controller board should always be solid on as it indicates 5volts is getting to the board.
So if it is not lit, either the male pins have broken solder joints on the board (wiggle the connector) or the pins need to be repined in the wiring.
