Well, it's almost Expo time again...where Stern pumped this book last year...so I'm sure they will get questions about it during their Stern event this year. I would expect a complete passing of the buck and less than honest answers, but at least you could get someone to lie to you face to face.

    Quoted from frolic:

    Hi Kickstarter Backers,
After that we be down to 6 undocumented games:
    1. Baywatch
    2. Lost in Space
    3. Striker Xtreme
    4. Sharkey’s Shootout
    5. NBA
    6. NFL
If you have these games and want to document them (and have your personal game in the book), please get in touch! If not, we do have some material for these games, but not as much as we would like.

I know a certain Baywatch example that could be photographed on cardboard without legs. Seriously though, if these are being photographed from home collections, I can only imagine some of the modded / purped out monstrosities that will show up in this book...if it ever gets done.

    Quoted from j_m_:

so, are you saying that some unknowing pinsider may end up with these atrocities as a "secret santa" gift in 2020 (since they obviously won't make the end of the year deadline)

    That is always a possibility

...but 2020 might be a bit optimistic even so I wouldn't worry quite yet.

    Quoted from hool10:

Ok I have more questions than answers now but they are saying it will be a physical THING in my hands....by the end of this year.

"Either way, our pledge to you is that we will have this book done before the end of this year! No matter what!" - Paperflock

They only said they pledge to have the book DONE by the end of this year...not that anyone would have a physical copy in their hands by then. If/when the book is finally "done" (as in editing, photos, layout, commentary, etc. are complete and finalized) they could still take forever to finally get it printed and shipped out to all the backers. No one is getting anything before the end of this year.

    Quoted from Luckydogg420:

I’ve backed 47 different kickstarters all of them have came through. I’m waiting for 3 right now, but one of them should shit this week.

    Good luck!

    Quoted from Billy16:

Speaking of scams--anyone actually get their hands on a book yet?

We need a pool without water board to place bets on who finally gets their hands on one of these first.

    Quoted from jellikit:

If I am not mistaken I believe proofreading is one word.

You are not mistaken. Three "proof reading" errors in a thank you for "proof reading" acknowledgement is something you couldn't make up and have it believable, but is absolutely par for the course in this case the way this whole Kickstarter has been handled.

    Quoted from hool10:

I briefly went through the book and I couldn't find more grammatical errors. They even spelt Arnold Schwarzenegger correctly for Terminator 3. Also who did this in the Kickstarter backer section?
    [quoted image]

It's been so long since this was funded that Jeffrey Epstein could have been an original backer.

    Quoted from pinmaniac:

I just got an email from Emma saying that the Dickies-Jackets are now being substituted with sweatshirts due to them being on perpetual back order.

Translation: Jackets are too much money and we don't have it, so we are substituting a cheaper sweatshirt. Be thankful it's not a t-shirt.

Look what I got today. It was a Secret Santa gift...from 2016. I kid, but it was a Secret Santa (2020) gift that showed up today with some other fun swag as a thoughtful bonus box after my SS had already given me several very generous gifts before. Following this thread and knowing what everyone went through to finally get this book makes it even more special to get this as a gift.
