Finally received mine after all the wait...
The T-shirt was Nice but man that book...
So many inaccuracies, wrong information, photoshop errors, non original parts (aftermarket mods/powdercoated legs/...) games like Avatar in the book with lots of playfield wear?
It feels more like a first draft than a finished book.
Where are the promised stories and interviews?

Pretty sad that after waiting this long it’s not good at all.
I’m sure I could have written a way better book in a lot less time

    #2852 3 years ago
    Quoted from pinmaniac:

The Zombie LE x2. Yes, I now have two hoodies.

So apparently the extra $175 for the Slash version (11 backers) guaranteed a jacket wasn't downgraded to a hoodie like the Yeti-LE (19 backers) ones. So 19 people apparently really got screwed. Wow. Lame.

    #2853 3 years ago

I think anyone who received a hoodie should get $50 refunded. That is not cool. However, I don’t think anyone has received a refund so...

Hey, I know the answer to this one!

"No refunds have been issued and there is no time table for when they will be issued."
    Best, Emma

    #2855 3 years ago

Seems odd to me they claimed the jackets couldn’t be obtained yet some got them? Seems like the true story is cost cutting, not availability.

    #2856 3 years ago

What they could be doing is fulfilling the backers and once that is done stepping back and saying "how many cancelled books/reward tiers do we have that we can re-sell" and then once that is done saying "ok what money do we have left to refund". That is my theory on what they are doing anyways.

    #2857 3 years ago

I wonder what would be the option for those that backed w/ a jacket and then didn't receive one? my thought is that this truly does constitute fraud.

    #2858 3 years ago

Has anyone gotten the ZombieYeti print yet? Just wondering what that would end up being (likely the same as the jacket back)?

    #2859 3 years ago
    Quoted from ChrisBardon:

Has anyone gotten the ZombieYeti print yet? Just wondering what that would end up being (likely the same as the jacket back)?

I was told that my Slash-package is on it‘s way WITHOUT the Yeti-print. These are apparently supposed to ship seperately.

    #2860 3 years ago

Wow, this cluster f*k just keeps on giving! Wasn’t the whole reason for the delayed shipping waiting on the jackets and posters? And substituting jackets for hoodies without even asking? I’m so glad I opted for a refund, but of course those never materialized either...

    #2861 3 years ago

the ONLY reason that I stayed on board was for the dickie's jacket and now to be told that it's being substituted without a choice is a real kick in the nuts. if karma kicks in, I really hope joe gets what's coming to him. this has been a sh*tshow for 3+ years now

I reached out to them and this is what I heard...

The Zombie Yeti poster is shipping separately in a poster tube. The posters are currently with the artist awaiting signatures, but we do not have an ETA at this time.

    Best,
    Emma

Best, Emma never has an ETA for anything.

Well I do trust her until Jeremy tells us he knows nothing of the posters to sign. Maybe i'm a fool. I think the book is fun to show friends and is something I didn't have before so I'm generally happy with it.

    #2865 3 years ago

Finally received my jacket, shirt and book, it’s almost over finally. Never again, after this and Zidware’s crap from years ago.

    Quoted from JoeinNJ:

Joe , can I ask what level you backed ? Was it the Slash package ?

    #2867 3 years ago

I was the guy that told them I’d buy the book-package if Slash signed mine, so it must of been the Slash package.

    #2868 3 years ago

received my bullsh*t package with the sweatshirt instead of my jacket today. also wondering why it cost me $70 for a priority flat rate box that ships for $15

when's the class action lawsuit? sign me up.

stern should be ashamed of themselves for aligning with these hacks and offer those of us that were f*cked some sort of restitution.

I know!--that extra 55 bucks would just make one book refund...

    #2870 3 years ago

    still waiting on a refund

unless someone in the US wants my place / book

    #2871 3 years ago

I emailed them and told them the sweatshirt was fucking bullshit. They didn’t seem to care. They know what they did. $$$

    #2872 3 years ago

and what happened to the ktba (now known as kickstarter thieving bastard @ssholes) quarter dispenser that we were also promised?

if karma really exists, I just want to be there when joe gets his due

    #2873 3 years ago

They ignored my complaint about the sweatshirt. Obviously they are done and just pushing out whatever shit they can to wash their hands of the mess they created. I can’t even look at the book, it makes me vomit just knowing the angst it’s created. Stern must be proud of their picture book.

    #2874 3 years ago

just posted this to stern's facebook page (anyone taking bets that the post gets removed and I get blocked?

Oh yeah, that’s coming down for sure. They have completely backed away from this steaming turd.

    #2876 3 years ago

Anyone contact Dickies to see if jackets really are unobtanium? Smells like rotten tuna to me. How can they get just enough for the Slash backers then run out? It was cost cutting all the way.

That‘s what I was wondering, too. Noone mentioned it so far.

Aaaaaaand... my package is stuck in customs! That‘s another $200 on top of the $630! Yay! That‘s just the icing on the cake.

    Truth? LOL

Somewhere the paperflock crew are complaining about the bunch of ingrates they have for kickstarter supporters.

Yep! I hoped for a cheap ass sweatshirt for my LE backing

    #2884 3 years ago

it really makes me want to reach out to jeremy packer (zombie yeti) and explain what happened and see if he'd be willing to provide [new] unique art for those of us that got f---ed over. we could then get our own dickie's jackies and have them screen printed.

    #2885 3 years ago

Interesting they shipped the books in Priority Mail Med. FR boxes which only cost around $13 anywhere in the US

    #2886 3 years ago

That is actually true! I paid a whole lot more money than I ever hoped for!

The irony of that risks and challenges section is it doesn't actually articulate the risks and challenges of the project. Just says they know what they're doing and you'll get more than you expect. Par for the course.

    #2889 3 years ago

I got my Street Fighter boardgame in on Friday and it's easily one of the best, if not, the coolest boardgames or KS thing I have ever done. S&H was only $55 and it went from Florida to Massachusetts. Please Stern, PLEASE!!! Seriously though all those figurines was just a fraction of the Kickstarter and I got everything for a grand total of $385.55. Took 3 years instead of Paperflocks 4, cheaper shipping, better protection in shipping box.

Yeah, I was following that one. They got some exquisite work done on those figurines. Really first-class, and great communication with their backers throughout the process.

    #2892 3 years ago

If anyone wants to sell their book and poster let me know I would be interested.

Oh my god! It‘s finally over! I almost can‘t believe it after all these years. My Slash-Package arrived today. The book is okay-ish with it‘s tons of typos and total lack of information. I mean c‘mon... you couldn‘t ever be bothered to mention the designer for each game?! Form me the signatures of Gary, Steve, George, John and Slash elevate it beyond it‘s mediocrity, but if it weren‘t for that it would be pretty „meh“.

Although I gotta admit that I really like the Dickies Jacket - at least they couldn‘t screw up genuine Dickies-quality.

Coin dispenser nonchalantly vanished from the project and the Zombie Yeti poster is still missing. Eh, feck it. I‘m happy I fiiiinally got my Slash signed book and learned a valuable lesson on kickstarter first-timers launching overambitious projects.

    #2895 3 years ago

Still super shady to me that the Slash people got Dickies and the LE’s got SweatShirts. They lie about the availability. Pure and simply they screwed us to save $$$

    #2896 3 years ago

Originally asked for a refund once the ludicrous international shipping rates were released. Then quickly realized there’s almost no chance these guys will be able to come up with enough cash to honor all these refunds.

So asked Paperflock to have my order reinstated and I’d pay the shipping. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush as they say. Last week got notice the package had finally shipped. Woohoo!

    Quoted from EricHadley:

Seems like that's different than the non-delivery Kickstarter and provable fraud because they are clearly lying about availability of the jacket and preferring one class of purchases over the other. Small claims is $30 in CA. Seems like it would worth it to gamble on the fraud angle and get money back for the jacket, since it can be proven they're lying due to the Slash tier getting the jackets they say are not available. They're not traveling to wherever you are to defend a $100 judgment.

This is not Joes first Kickstarter project and the strong reason why I backed this in the first place. This is the camera he developed and it more than doubled the goal of the Kickstarter and backers. There was problems with the first prototypes it sounds like however. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/joedp/the-digital-bolex-the-1st-affordable-digital-cinem/description
