If I have learned one thing about #wheresthecode is that people will stone you and then turn around a bitch some more instead of pulling all together. I have close to 300 likes on that facebook page and when I post stuff, no one shares. So what its the point. People bitch but don't have the balls to follow through.

Avengers code update timeline is a joke
WWE code update timeline is a joke
TWD is really polished at this point
ST code update timeline is a joke
GOT getting all the priority until they release the next game.

I just think the answer to everyone's problem and it's been said a million times before. Don't buy NIB if you can't handle the code swings.
Yet we still have people bitching about code updates and buy NIB. You buy NIB you have no right to bitch about code updates.

ST for me is a lot better with 1.61. Is it complete? No Does it have bugs? Yes Am I going to lose sleep over it? No Should Stern at least fix the final bugs? Yes. When?...stay tuned!

    Quoted from dung:

Man, if you guys got on about B/W games with major bugs I think your heads would explode. How dare B/W have major issues in their code after 20 years?!?!?!?!

Burning eproms vs. downloading an update file and install via USB cannot even be compared. Stern just as to publish the file online and be done with it. Secondly the operator vs. home market was way different back in the day.

DNO I know we don't see eye to eye when it comes to Stern and their code release. I get it from an operator standpoint if people keep putting coins in the machine code is a moot point. But from a home collector standpoint how can any home collector vouch for a company that doesn't finish their product and doesn't implement code for features that are on the playfield? The company keeps doing it because people (home collectors) don't have the balls to stop buying NIB games when they are released. It's just bad business. One of the only reasons I love Stern games is because they are the only game in town. I could buy older games if I wanted too but really like finished Stern games. If their competitors could produce 1 or 2 games per year and release code in a timely manner, Stern would be in serious trouble. Who knows if that day will ever come. I just know that from my end, I refuse to buy games that have just been released and I wait to see what happens with the code. If enough people start doing that then it will affect Stern's bottom line.

I don't wish them harm (even with my posts). I want them to wake up and at the same time I wish they could look at the bigger picture and realize the harm they are doing to themselves.

On a positive note, I think GOT code release seems to be happening more frequently and it might be a sign of a changing tide. I truly hope so.

I like how your wish list is all sterns!

I know right. I just wait until code is done. I'll even have to put Star Wars on that list.

    Quoted from dung:

Are you new to the hobby? Go do your research and find out how many b/w are not finished. Especially from the late 90s. This isn't new. Its been around for decades.

Now he'res my question. Does it make it right to leave code unfinished or buggy? Whether it be in the 90's or in 2015/16? Back then the scene was more like 90% operator 10% home collector. Now it's more like 65% / 35% Back in the 90's it was a pain in the ass to update code. Now just a download to a USB stick is all that suffice. So you are comparing apples and oranges.

    Quoted from ek77:

Bugs are one thing but just because you feel it is unfinished does not make it so

Please explain avengers then? Or the unfinished xmen Limbo game. Until then your points mean nothing.

    Quoted from centerflank:

What's not wrapped up on Xmen? I thought that game was pretty bad ass! Just some wiz mode dark Phoenix related?

How about you can't reset the villains and end up into oblivion?

    Quoted from pinworthy:

Yeah really he could have come up with some crazy new issue. Plenty of people bitch about the horn inserts too

If you put f*in insert on an f*in palyfield it's meant to do something more than just to f*in light up. Short of that. Don;t put the damninsert on the playfield. It's that simple.

    Quoted from markmon:

I had the second to last version and everything seemed fine.

Can Xmen be finished yes or no?
