I installed a set of mirror blades today in a Stern Wheel Of Fortune. The cabinet had a small metal piece on each side of the cabinet that interferes with the mirror blades by a 1/4". I took them out. Do you know what they are for? .Do I need to reinstall these pieces? See Attached photos

Helps hold the playfield in place.

Since you won't be moving it ? You probably don't need them.
