So a Death Star that does something, and a dropdown bank under the mini LCD kinda like AFM? Seems like there should be more interactive stuff with this.

Quoted from NeilMcRae:i think the pics are spoiling how it looks - i think it's better than those pics show.
So a pic now removes 10 pounds?
If there was ever a chance to over-do a pin beyond the Stern standard, I would have expected it to be this one. I would have loved to have seen one so crammed with so much stuff, like Batman Forever, that you couldn't see 1/2 the playfield.
To me, this feels like:
1. They couldn't decide what to do because there's so many things they could have added, froze up, and had to put it together at the last moment.
2. Did the minimal amount of work to pass as a pin because they know it's going to sell well based on the theme alone.
I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I understand that many love certain game designers, and certain game coders. But I feel that games shouldn't be on rotation, like servers at a restaurant. I feel it should be a team effort, like at an Advertising Agency. You have the hierarchy of people with decision making abilities. You work as a team to make the best possible design (game), and not leave it up to basicly one sole person. We'd never have a Jr. Designer, or even Sr. Designer create a whole branding campaign by themselves.
Quoted from vid1900:At least this looks nice.
Looks like they're using the same model from the Star Wars X-Wing Miniatures board game. Not that it's a bad thing. Because that series does look really good. But seems Stern wasn't the ones who "sculpted" it.

Quoted from GorillaBiscuits:Oh man... that video mode LOL. Pretty stoked still!
my first thought was it looks like it was pulled from SWEp1 pin.
So does it have a 20-ball multiball? That Death Star got loaded up.
Quoted from PanzerFreak:Just noticed the comment on Sterns FB page saying that the game will feature "select speech and footage" from the films. That makes it sound like they don't have the rights to use some of the actors likeness?
They couldn't get James Earl Jones. So they went back to the original dub with David Prowse.
Quoted from redman822:It's supposed to mimic the floor in the Falcon...
I think that's a stretch. Looks more like the Imperial walls to me. How often do we see the floor of the Falcon? Never once noticed that same design in the movies. Doesn't mean it's not there, but it's definitely more recognizable as Imperial walls.
Quoted from Phbooms:So does the deathstar on the Pro open up? It looks like it does something in the pictures above from pinball magazine. Has a door and looks like it splits in pictures?
My guess is they just made the same model for both, and only the Premium and LE have the mechs inside to open it up, since it looks pretty sealed with no gaps.
Quoted from Phbooms:Did you look at pinball magazine pictures of Pros deathstar, its not sealed and has a door. Could there be a diverter behind the Pros deathstar from left ramp and locks the balls in Deathstar then opens the door on deathstar to drop balls onto playfield during a multiball?
I did. Sealed as in, no visible gaps like the premium and LE. From the look of the gate directly in from of the Death Star, I'm still going to say it won't open up to spit out the ball.
Quoted from Phbooms:Not sure what your looking at pictures on but i see visible cracks and a visible door on Pro. Im in on a premium so doesnt matter to me but i hope it does.
Okay. Guess you're taking things a little bit more literal than I thought. So I'll point out that maybe you're getting hung up on my terminology. Let me correct that. Minus the hole where the wireform goes, there's a GIANT GAP where the Pro doesn't have. And seems there's a little bit of overlap at the very top. The Pro appears to be screwed together.
But like you said, it doesn't matter.
Quoted from CrazyLevi:It was a pro. Super fast and smooth amazing flow. You are gonna be happy derek it's kickass. Sorry out doing tourist stuff so I can't really talk it up now but I'll be calling into timballs twitch tonight around 8 pm eastern to talk about it. He'll have some pics too that I took. There won't be any video sadly the big man said no.
They really just need to hire you to take their official photos. This looks much more attractive than what they put out. I'd say reaction would be much different if this was the first photo people saw of the machine.
