GoT-LE was the only game I ever sold at a loss. I see the same for richie's newest release.

Quoted from beelzeboob:Consider the difference a licensing fee for a whopper of a theme...versus something with the girl from the Progressive commercials and a cell phone.
The reason the SW machine is price rich and feature poor is certainly not due to the licensing fee.
Perhaps it is that stern is making machines today at their lowest cost of goods sold ever and their profit per machine is at its highest.
They are simply putting less dollars into a machine than ever before.
While there are no other manufactures that offer a lower cost PRO model like stern does, they are really raking in the money with prems and le's.
Sterns lowcost pro model is their bread and butter and competitive advantage against everyone else.
Quoted from T7:I think this feature (now starting to become a trend?) is making the games too complicated - period. This makes the games more fun for a small % of people and less fun for a large % of people.
I completely agree. GoT was the hardest game to figure out for me and guests. I know people will say it is so simple but I never saw it after a year. If SW is the same and is what Dwight is about then I don't have any desire to own it.
Quoted from northvibe:New stern games the shaker is cake, all the holes and harness stuff is there for the shaker kit to go in.
Don't go advertising that fact too widely. Stern will pick up on it and pre-drill, t-nut and harness for future LE's ONLY.
Quoted from Apollyon:From my understanding, he intends to own one personally as well.
Stern gives the programming lead a game with every project.
Quoted from TimberOne:Anyone notice how loud the fan is in the backbox? Mine kicks on even when the game is idle.
That is normal for the spike system. Very annoying.
