I've got a DESW, and have been looking forward to a Stern model. For my tastes, my initial reaction on cab artwork is that I'm liking the Pro & LE the best. I prefer "the good guys." Obviously then, I like the Premium cab/art the least, but if I bought one that would probably be the one I'd get. While I like the Pro art, the game looks too basic. And LE is too pricey. I'll save further judgement and my buying decision until we get more details. I've never bought a NIB machine before, so I may even have to play it first.

Quoted from Rasavage:

Is that for sure? All I heard was The Beatles was Trudeau's dream theme and Franchi was working on a big "reach" license facilitated for Kamikow. That would be really cool if those two things came together.

Darn you Pinside!!

I love the Beatles. I have a Wurlitzer 1900 jukebox chock full of colored Beatles 45s. I've seen Sir Paul in concert twice. I just bought the 50th Anniversary Super Deluxe Sgt. Pepper box set.

I love Star Wars. I have a DE Star Wars pinball machine. I also built a Star Wars themed MAME arcade machine. My adult children share my enthusiasm.

I pretty much have spousal approval to get the new Stern Star Wars pinball machine. Assuming I like it when we get better pictures and reviews, I'll probably buy my first ever NIB machine. Now, if there is a Beatles machine ever produced, I think I will have used my only NIB chip afforded to me. I wish I had never seen the Beatles mentioned in this thread. Let it Be!

Quoted from Eskaybee:

Who's got SW PREMs for $7200 shipped, can someone post or pm me? Thanks.

I played one at Bumpernets in Birmingham, and it was missing the right wing on the Tie. Hopefully it's not an ongoing issue.

I saw the PREM/LE manual on Stern's site as well. Hopefully shipping of these is imminent. Otherwise all I've heard recently are crickets...

Alrighty - just ordered a Premium. The wait commences...

Quoted from DEN:

you should just shut up and be happy .....

Yeah - but you probably pay less for canned ham than we do here in the US.

Quoted from 30FathomDave:

I got a text out of the blue from my distributor today. He said my Premium should be ready to ship in a week or so. Seems early, but I'd be okay with that.

Mine told me that he had heard from Stern and that premiums would start shipping in 2-3 weeks, and that was exactly a week ago. I'm hoping for around Labor Day.

Quoted from redman822:

7,541 pieces, $800.

Probably cheaper than what Stern's will be. Just sayin'...

Anybody know how much replacement translites cost through a distributor? Or, any LE owners want to sell their PRO translite? If so, PM me with details.

I have had my Premium for nearly a week. Before I got it, I was concerned by comments on the lack of "stuff" on the playfield. After getting it and playing it, I can say that I don't have time to be concerned about any lack of stuff. The game is very fast to worry about it. We're having a blast with it. The hyper-loop is great, but we have yet to destroy the death star with the glass on. We had to experiment with it off to make sure it worked.

I haven't seen any answers to this - does anybody know what the Home and Director's Cut presets are?

New code is available

Quoted from pudealee:

New code is available

And either every owner is trying to download it now, or Stern's server is using a 56k connection...sheesh.

I know Stern is working on new code updates for the SW machines. I would love to see a short-cut, or an easier method of blowing up the Death Star. I've had my premium for a month and a half, and have yet to crack that nut. I had to go into test mode just to make sure it worked.
