Looks like fun. Not sure about art, but it always looks better in person. I expect sounds and play to be great.

Alternate translights $12 + S&H.

I would love to see a "Troops" LE. That I would buy!

Quoted from vid1900:

I do machine service for a very high-end telescope company.
They sell telescopes that are up to ~$50,000
Every time they introduce a new model, the main telescope forum goes crazy with nonsense. Trolls that only post when it's time to bash them, posters who have never built a telescope giving their **expert** design opinions, posters who need to justify why their $1000 telescope "is all they need", conservative posters asking "Are they selling porn or telescopes???"....
I asked them why they don't ask the moderators to kill that noise, or why they don't at least post on the forum to answer those critics.
They said that if they simply answered all the critics and the mods removed the offending posts, the thread would die in a few days and be buried.
By letting the dumpster fire rage on for months, they get tons of free advertising, more clicks to their site, and interest from people who are suddenly considering a $10,000 telescope reasonable ("Honey, look, it's way cheaper than those $50,000 scopes.....it's science for the kids!")
Companies that stay in business for decades tend to know how to game the system.

Please send me a link to that forum. What's your name on it?

Thanks Vid. That's a great forum. I think I just found their version of LTG. I recently bought an entry level telescope for my youngest son's 10th birthday and found some really helpful threads.

Quoted from vid1900:

SkyPuke, Dark_Nebula, and StarLord - sadly, all currently banned

Hilarious! You are the Astonomy Outlaw.

I like them and can't wait to play! No reason to get so worked up over it. It's always a totally different experience when you step up and press start.

Quoted from flashinstinct:

I learnt quickly to not fall for that promo Same thing will apply to SW. Ill wait for the videos to come out, wait about another 10 months to see where code will end up, wait a bit for the love phase to subside and if I'm still happy by then, It will probably be my first Prem version of a game. Will probably buy HUO if I can find one.

This is a totally locgial position. Look at GB. It was a dream themes for many as well. I saw it premier at the Texas show in March of 2016. LEs came out and people raised all kinds of hell. I even cancelled my Premium order. Eventually I picked up a Premium run from Jan 2017. I had no problem finding it and the code was more mature. Here we are, about one year later and all three models are available right here on the Pinside market at good prices.

This thread definitely needs it's own "Hitler reacts" video!

I've saved enough money to get either Star Wars or Dialed In. Now I will have a tough choice.

With some experience in collecting unde my belt, my brain says to wait until both have been out and on the line for a year or more. For Stern, that's next summer. For JJP, it could be longer. Furthermore, my brain says to get the lowest price model.

My heart says to call my distro now and get a game asap. Get at least a Stern Premium etc.

For the time being, I need to make space in my game room. I'm holding out until I can sell some games.

Every time the brand fans jump in I think of this...

There is a lot of truth there. Nice find.

As far as all the DI vs SW, its really about personal preferences. I love SR games and I love Pat Lawler games. Among my past and present games:

Twilight Zone, Whirlwind, Safe Cracker, and Banzai Run

STTNG, Spider Man, AC/DC, and Stern Star Trek

DI was my favorite game at the 2017 Texas show by a long shot. I apologize for the diversion off topic. I'm really looking forward to seeing SW and playing it. My next show is Houston in October.

Quoted from colonel_caverne:

i think now each increasing price, pin machine after pin machine, is acquired whatever licence price, building price, Gary has a cold or not... so even if the next pin seems to be empty (or license is cheaper) it does nothing.

I agree. Recent history suggest that games aren't adjusted individually on BOM. It appears they are ratcheted up year by year based on overall costs of running the company etc. They are going up as long as the market will tolerate it. Their costs will rise each year, no doubt about it.

Quoted from Wolfmarsh:

Who is Luke's father? That has been bothering me for decades.
