Quoted from trunchbull:Someone should start a "positivity only" safe space Stern thread so everyone else can crab in peace.
There was a club thread but I think it was modded and rounded up to here.
Quoted from RipleYYY:SW get his fans, i can understand that, but for sure as a pinball lover, i'm OK with the majority and the fact that 1st meeting with this pin & that artwork make me feel quite negative :/
now of course, gameplay + code could do it, but 1st impression remain bad
Everyone hated on dialed in too when it was first announced.
All this negative talk about the game is such great news.. I wrote my favorite reseller in late March and asked to get on the LE pre-list, and they told me there was already 40+ people on it. I'm hoping that everyone else decides they don't want one, so I can get one.
Quoted from Trekkie1978:If you want an LE, contact your distributor ASAP.
I did, but they said it wont be officially released until Jun 6, no pricing or numbers (how many they are getting) are available yet.
Quoted from Trekkie1978:They don't have a list you can be added too?
I am on a "list" but they said no money to be exchanged until after the 6th.
If there is anything I've learned from this thread, it's that iceman is staying on the blocked list.
Quoted from jfh:For those getting an LE over a premium - why?
Do you like the art better?
Just like the idea of owning a "Limited Edition"?
Does the price difference not really matter (or is insignificant to you)?
SWLE seems to offer the least differentiation and greatest price gap of LEs to date (not counting Batman SLE). I bought a STLE because I though the overall package made it a no brainer, but I just don't see the appeal to SWLE.
It will look nice next to my STLE, and won't drop in value as much as the premium when the countless "character" vault editions are made. (Like AC/DC right now).
I also figure a Star Wars colectible is worth taking a chance on.
I plan on doing el paper behind the laser cut rails. I do like the hoth scene on the premium but the falcon art of the LE has grown on me and I like the option of having all 3 translites. (Tron "girls" translite is unobtanium right now for instance)
Quoted from musketd:Anybody else out there liking the pro? Wonder which one Levi will be playing tonight?
I can't imagine it will be the pro
Quoted from flashinstinct:If I were to buy one of these I'd be at a crossroads. I don't really like the premiums cabinet art especially the right side just feels unfinished and layout is meh but love the backbox and translite. I love the LE cabinet but dont really like the backbox art and don't mind the translite. in other words, I wish the game looked like this.
Premium backbox with an LE cabinet
Colors on the top look wrong but I like the idea.
